Gomen. I should try to come around more often. I missed you too. *Than felt her hand on his forehead. Normally it would give him comfort, but he knew that she'd find his missing eye soon enough. He kept his head leaning slightly into her hand. Nana's hand may move enough hair out of Than's face to find his sealed left eye*

*Than winced his right eye shut for a moment* She's still healing...... but I feel that I failed in my goal..... *He opens his eye, not wincing anymore, and looking up at Nana. At a second glance, it was easy to tell that his eye was sealed closed*

*He quickly turned his head away from Nana and brings up his left hand to cover it. Than didn't know what to say and it was clear to anyone that looked at him that he was sad if not ashamed about the "injury." For now he didn't answer Nana's question... just looked away as if afraid to look to her right now*

*He took a half shakey breath and turned his head more towards her, but more looking towards here feet* There was someone else who was staying with my friend. He wanted to protect her and help her as well, so I trusted him. One night my friend was asleep and we went out into her "back yard" to see if we could find anything. When I wasn't looking, he stabbed one knife into my back and slit my throat with another. *His hand came up to his throat at the memory of warm blood pouring out of it, and his inability to scream in pain because of his punctured lung* My lung was pierced so it was hard to breath, much less shout. When I turned to face him.... he fired his weapon at me. I'm pretty sure he intended to just kill me.... but he missed and instead got my eye.

*She gasped in horror at his tale of pain. Nana kneels down to his level, and hugs him tightly*

A soft sigh escaped the man as he appeared near the place.He wasn't sure if the barrier would allow him access.He really doubted it would.And so he just stood there,waiting.Only his pistols and one knife was on him.His other array of weaponry was at home.Around Kai he had little use for them,and he feared he might be getting soft."Someone's gotta be home..."

*He just seemed to remain still for the moment, but soon enough he leans towards her and wraps his right arm around her tightly* Arigatou. I haven't forgotten.... nor do I reject you or your warmth. It really doesn't hurt that much.... it just takes some getting used to. *Than felt a slight irk at her calling her "my son," but he soon got over it. At heart he thought of her as a mother, even if he couldn't say that. If she wanted to think of him as her son and call him as such, he wouldn't reject it. depending on how Nana was hugging him, she may have felt the hard, metal of Than's replaced left arm*
