Kaya's previously pleasant dreams began to turn a little darker. Not intensely so, but enough to make her frown in her sleep and stir a little.

Luke looked to Kaya, seeing such a frown on her face. Such an unfitting expression... So thewolf carefully moved the cheetah into his arms, holding her gently against his chest and letting her listen to his heartbeat.

Kaya calmed significantly upon hearing the steady beating of Luke's heart. She sighed softly and her expression cleared.

Luke smiled softly as Kaya's face brightened back up. Much better. The wolf then carefully leaned back against Kaitani before drifting off to sleep again.

Kaya woke up at some point after the wolf had fallen asleep, but she didn't move when she woke, not wanting to disturb him. Her cheeks blushed bright red when she realized she was in his arms, and she considered carefully moving out of them, but she really didn't want to disturb him.

Luke continued to sleep, even after Kaya woke up. Unlike his father, Luke didn't snore. Not in the slightest. The only semi-noticeable noise he made was an occasional soft sigh that escaped his lips, meaning he was still breathing. And his face was so calm and young as he slept, not even hinting to half as old as he really was.

Kaya smiled some as she listened to Luke breathing. Up until they were young adults, she and Ilsen would sleep in the same bed, frightened by the same nightmares that would torture the twins. They didn't have bad dreams every night, but they feared them all the time. However, Ilsen had been quite loud in his sleep, always grunting and snoring.

Luke continued to sleep for a while, but soon waking. He grumbled some, not having wanted to wake up so soon. But the wolf rubbed one of his eyes and glanced down to see Kaya still resting on his chest. "Kaya? You awake?"

Kaya looked up at Luke, and was met with his adorable sleepy face. I could get used to that face... she thought, and immediately she blushed. "Yep...I'm awake..."

Luke was still too tired to register Kaya was blushing so badly. He sat up a little more, rubbing his eyes some as he yawned deeply. He might as well wake up. Maybe he could move to his bed before going back to dreamland. But he had so much teacher stuff to do...

Quickly, Kaya moved away from Luke, nervous and still blushing. "Um... Did..D-did you, um, sleep well?"

Kaya quickly stood, accidentally brushing Kaitani's tail. The dragon woke as well, cracking one eye open and beholding the sight before him. While Luke-Wolf-Father just looked sleepy, Kaya-Cheetah-Mother looked rather embarrassed. Being a dragon, Katani could practically smell emotions, and he dragon smirked, shaking his large head.

Luke looked between the Cheetah and the dragon who was shaking his head. He studied the dragon and that smirk. "And what are you hiding?" he asked, looking to the reptile.

Kaitani's smirk never fell. "Oh, nothing," he said, swishing his tail. The appendage easily hit Kaya gently in the back, sending her falling forward towards Luke.
