The books were fun...
I read them because I saw and loved the movie, but I got about 3 or 4 in and it just wasn't holding me anymore so I started to read something else.
I could watch the movie over and over and it wouldn't get old though.
I tend to see more into it as I watch it again. Love the beurocratic aliens...reminds me of being in line at the DMV

Arthur Dent is more of an everyman who just accepts and/or grows use to all the crazy things that happens to him. Kinda like Kyon haha.
I should pick up the books but then you'll probably never see me for a while.

You've now motivated me to start where I left off on the series, which is a good thing since once I finish the book I'm on I have nothing left in the house to read...
