DartStriker Isis, the only problem is that if we do get back into playing 40k online. We need to have some way of proving that whatever codex/models you use, you have. Do to legal issue, with Games Workshop. You should read the posts above, Sorry, but there is no issue. GW dose not have that kind of legal power, who ever told you that was wrong. neutral I do have an aunt who is a paralegal I asked her about this just to be safe and she confirmed my information that GW cant have that kind of power. On mapping: Hexagonal tiles allow for diagonal movement. A scatter die can be mostly proxyed by using 1 role of a 6 sided die and 2 rolls of a 4 sided for direction

Really, hmm. Well I'll take your word for it. Besides I'm sure the worst they would do is tell us to stop.

Personally I wouldn't do it. The venerable Tiger is not suited for use with 40k, it will look out of place and if you just put some minor bits such as a new cupola and pintle-mount on it gets zero points for effort.

It can be very tricky taking a model from another line and trying to make it blend with the 40k style. Like brookman said, it would look out of place, unless you do one kickn' job of converting it. 3nodding

It'd be better to build something from scratch then to try and build something from a kit that is realistically scaled. Or you could try and find a company that sells 28mm Heroic scale WWII tanks, that might fit in better.

Depends on the scale really. And the brand of the kit. Tamiya has its kits loaded with spare parts and perfectly detailed bits as you would expect from veteran model kit makers. My main boon is that a true scale Tiger tank will look horribly out of place with all the unrealistically scaled 28mm Heroic scale models of GW etc.
BTW, are we talking about the Tiger I or Tiger II here? If the Tiger II, are you going for the Henschel production turret or the rarer Porsche prototype turret?

The painting bug is creeping up on me again, I'd like to paint my Imperial Guard. I think I have a name and paint scheme sort of ironed out. I'd like to call them the 347th Silver foxes. Mostly black and gray with silver dry brushing kinda urban camo-ish. Im still lacking an Icon,
I messed with some of the earlier suggestions but they didn't quite pan out. Sooooo... any one have any ideas ?? Im trying to keep the icon simple so I can paint it on a ton of stuff. I have a topic for this in the painting section.

Looks like everyone is keeping busy. Thats good to see, I have a few projects taking up almost 90% of my time. So you will not see much of me around here, but I plan on trying to post at least once or twice a week.
