IT DONT MATTER
Runner is one of my favorite WiiWare games, and the only other Bit.Trip I've played is Beat and I STILL haven't beat the 2nd level
I beat Runner though
that felt sexy

And... it doesn't really spoil the the story. I mean, I wouldn't know I've only BEAT the first level of BEAT. Everything else is TOO DIFFICULT DX But yeah. Get it. It's so ******** fun crying Even DAVID LIKES IT.

If you want old fashioned action and adventure with lots of content:
Megaman 9 or 10 (get 9 first)
Cave Story (it may be 1500 points, can't remember)
If you want really experimental and artsy stuff:
Light Trax
Runner
