Not much,b ut I wouldn't be pinning hopes on a system which hasn't recieved full funding yet.
Like the land warrior system, its only been around for years, but nobody is really dazzled by it enough to fund the thing like it should be...

They are starting to put alot more money into the predator drones. I even heard a rumor that their use has caused the army and air force to run low on Hellfire missiles.
It's the X-45 and that sort that have been underfunded.

Heh. The US never runs out of missles.
Although, I thought the hellfire was a rocket, not a missile... not to mention, aren't they anti-vehicular weaponry? Cause I knwo for a fact they aren't put on naval aircraft or bombers...

For someone that has parents in the military you seem pretty in the dark. The Hellfire is an anti-tank missile that the Army hangs off the Apache chopper (They carry between 8-16 of them), while the Air Force hangs the same weapon on the Predator Reconissance Drone (Carrying a maximum of two missiles). It sounds like we've been firing off more missiles from the Predators despite their smaller capacity.
They've been seeing a lot of use killing technicals in Afghanistan, not to mention we've used them to assassinate (For lack of a better term) upper echelon Al Qaeda and Taliban leaders.

My prediction for the first catastrophe of the new president in 2008:
One day the President of the US comes on TV and starts to address the people. He announces that the leaders of the world have been contacted by a single man who is now in charge of everything. His name is Darth ___? and he has a fleet of what can be called Imperial Star Destroyers (mk. II). He apologises for failing as a president. Darth ___? comes on the TV and annouces he now owns Earth.
That would so f**king rock.

I hate the military in itself, for multiple reasons which should not be delved into. So I actually try not knowing anything about it. Although diffusion works in the most innate ways... Although I can't remember the name of the rocket....
