I've honestly never heard of anyone who will only smoke cigarettes when they're in a place where the contaminated air will only harm them. Not to mention that just because the smoke is gone that doesn't mean the harmful chemicals are. I know plenty of people who only smoke hookah and only do it when they're with each other or by themselves. That may be but I said cigarettes. If you smoke a cigarette indoors the chemicals will stick to that room until you clean them off. The chemicals may stick, but you can get rid of the smell easily by spraying air freshener. That said, it should definitely be the person who smoked that sprays it right away. I smoked pot a few times with my friends, and every time we did so we sprayed the furniture in the room down afterward so the smell would be gone. I care more about the chemicals than the awful smell.

Telling her that she's less cool because of a secret she shared... She should be able to post here without worrying about being judgedGeez, assumptions, man. I wasn't making fun of her or saying that I like her any less upon learning that she smokes. I was simply voicing my feelings about the act of smoking without stating them outright. Just to clarify, I don't think she's uncool for smoking. I just think that smoking is questionable. Yeah, I'm not buying it. You were still making a judgment, and we're not supposed to judge one another in this thread. I know you don't think she's uncool for smoking, but you said yourself that you think she's less cool for smoking. That's judgment if I ever saw it.

Oh, now you're just being condescending. Look, all I'm saying is that your post seemed judgmental. You may not have meant to give that impression, but that's what it seemed like. That's all I'm saying. Keep in mind that misunderstandings happen on the Internet ALL THE TIME. Just because your post was misinterpreted doesn't mean that the people who interpreted it differently "don't know what they're talking about".

Jedi- Yes, there was a misunderstanding and you stated that you didn't like what was said. I didn't take Foam's message as condescending, but that's just me.
Foam- It's unfortunate that there was a misunderstanding and you've said that you're sorry for the misunderstanding and you didn't mean to sound that way.
IMO: I believe both of you should just drop the topic and wait until Raven comes and gives her views on the subject. Feel free to PM her with your opinions, but don't get in her hair. Basically, I don't think the argument is going anywhere. Take your stances if you must, but don't keep arguing about it in this thread. Perhaps PM's if you must?

The whole thing was a misunderstanding. Lets just leave it at that. We're here to defuse drama and handle it properly, not let it get out of hand. Foam could have worded his opinion in a better manner, and others could have been less quick to judge what he was saying and thinking he was being jerk. Can't we all leave it at that?

I don't think there ever should have been an argument. In fact, I don't think this even qualifies as an argument, and if it does, that's kind of disappointing. All I was trying to do was clarify a point. Foam didn't seem to understand why his post came off as judgmental, so i was trying to clarify that. Don't see why everybody suddenly turned on me. I'm not going to take this to PMs because I don't see any reason to even discuss it anymore. What are we even talking about? This doesn't even matter!

I think it's a guarantee that everyone's going to side with Foam Dome if he and I were to ever get into a dispute (not that I would consider this a dispute), because everybody knows him very well, and nobody knows me well.
