Rikku ran a bucket of warm water and collected one of the rags used for cleaning and went into the main entrance hall and began to scrub the floor clean of the many foot prints of new arrivals, of geisha going to a teahouse and miako making their debue that had stepped throught the hall for many years. Once finished with a wet rag she used a dry one to bring out the floor boards shine and make sure the floor was dry anough so no one would slip. Then finished with the floor she dusted the ornaments that were there then left the hall knowing that the last thing those leaving the okiya that night would look nice and that any new members of arrive would be welcomed into the room she had spent much effort into making it look well presented.

Tora giggled at the Maiko's surprise. "Yes, you are now a Maiko." Tora turned to the full-length mirror on her wall. Perfect, she smiled at her reflection. "You know," Tora began, "I have a few moments before my party at the Tea House. Would you like to fix us some tea and bring it up here?" she asked.

Airi giggled and spoke to both the maid and Aki-chan, "I've just made breakfast, would you like some?"

"A-A little b-bit about m-myself..." She had to think, there really wasn't that much to her in her eyes, but wasn't that how everyone saw them selves? "W-Well...M-my father n-named me, h-he w-was a fa-amer, a-and
m-my mother w-would j-just stay a-at home w-with me."

Daisuke sipped her tea and sat up a little straighter, her hands going into the form that Tora had showed her earlyer. "B-Back home I-I was the
l-laughing stock o-of the c-children...F-for haveing a-a boys n-name and this..." She put the tea cup in one hand, her thumb going to the rim to support it, her other hand jestured to her neck, "S-Stutter..."

Her hands went back to the correct way to hold the cup, "S-so I w-wanted t-to be a g-geisha t-to bring h-honor t-to my father...E-even if I-I wasn't t-the son h-he was h-hopi-ing for..."

"Aw, I'm sorry to hear that," Tora frowned. "However, you're doing a noble thing," she added. She let out a sigh and took a sip of her tea, sitting it back on the table. "I wish parents weren't so harsh on their children- daughters especially," she muttered, placing her chin on her hand.

Tora blew out a puff of air through her ruby colored lips. She looked at Daisuke and smiled. "I'm glad you've decided to better yourself, though. But, promise me, do this for yourself from now on. Nothing can be gained by trying to please everyone. If you're living someone else's dream, it will only hurt you in the long run."

Tora laughed. "Sorry, I get on a rant sometimes." She smiled and sipped her tea.

"Yes, I believe that's true," she said with a kind smile. Tora took a sip of her tea. "So... tell be about your... speech impediment. Were you born with it?" she asked. "Oh! Sorry to pry, you don't have to answer that," she said with a nervous laugh. She cleared her throat and buried her face in her cup, blushing.

"I see...." Tora was lost in thought, then something brought her out of it. "Ah, well, I've got to go." She stood and smiled. "I'll be back later this evening," she added, standing at her door. Tora left for the Tea House.
