Ishida: "I lost my god like powers to destroy the evil that stalks the earth, yet everyone else, even the little girl, got stronger." I'm not to sure he doesn't have a good reason to be angsty. It would make me feel very angsty if that happened to me. The part where I am being target for an evil plot makes thigns just a little bit worse, because I am unable to do anything to stop it because my power is gone. Actual spoilers from me. ^^
He's now a member of ANGST.

In the manga, his father is curently teachig him how to regain his powers. As long as he promises never to associate with Shinigami.
BIG SPOILER: Nah, I'm not gonna tell ya. ^^ Aren't I mean?
He's just acting a little too out of character for my liking.
