Holding a rune done blade in front of a rune mage without another rune mage is like....
...well, I may as well not say anything. twisted

Yeah, I thought that would be pretty stupid too. ^^
So I fixed that problem.
I think you can figure out how.
Hey, how long has RUne magic been practiced?

I'd hope you know the ins and outs. Then what fun would it be to fight you?
You probably wouldn't understand the obsession of having to kill something stronger than you, and going to great lengths to do it without re-wrtiing your character. ^^
It is fun to plot and have those plots come to nothing only to have to try another plot. As long as I don't meta game, Sevilin could live for a few more weeks, or hours. ^^ Depending on how long it takes to go from plan to plan.
...
Sevilin wouldn't be overrtly effected by large amounts of clerical magic, would he? ('Finger of God' power spells, like 'Finger od God', or "Smite Key'.)
The finger of God comes out of a planartary gate, and crushes target. God presses the 'smite' key, killing target instantly.

I was gonna say...what is with the need to kill me all of a sudden, I was being good and ain't done nothing to you.
Well then, knowing that I will hold no runes back on you. I will do them, and I will tell the effects. Granted that you more or less have to take them unless Sevilin is started to run low, breaks concentration, or is just careless.
And no, not if he has the right runic defenses upon his person/general area.

Yeah, its not entirely his fault that he got into this situation. Actions have consequences, and sometimes greater than what you think, especially when you are in the dark. ^^
He could blame four people other than himself for the attack. ^^
Jarlaxle current obsession with killing sevilin is because Sevilin made his nine thousand years of experience more or less worthless. He has to kill Sevilin in order to justify his existance. For doing so well, you made an enemy/friend for life. ^^
The first attack wa an accumulated response to things in the guild. You should place a little more consideration into the world beyond what you can directly see, and wonder how your actions might make the people around you feel. Especially when you are outright threatening power.

Hehe, there is a certain system to my characters, if you haven't noticed.
Outright power house = personailty problem
Outright fantastic personailty = leave them at home
Well, in one system respect. Screw balance.

Like superheroes, (except for Superman, that rat basterd), the more power you have, the more personal issues you have with society, yourself, or others.
Since you know that you leave the people are not likely to be attack at home, why are you so suprised when someone takes iniative against the ones with personality problems?
Shouldn't you be expecting confrontation?

Eh, that wasn't the point I was trying to make. I was going in for character flaw and downfall as opposed to confrontation value and situtation fodder.

It's like confrontation value, except they get thrown in/dragged in because of thier flaw even if they can prevent it.
