The lack of communication and the fact that there's four people still waiting to know if they're in a round that's already started...
I don't think that's working together. It's more like working on the same thing in isolation, throwing your s**t together, and hoping it matches.
But that's his fault and not yours. He's in no way management material. I don't want to say he lacks the intelligence for such a position, even though he does, but he does lack the social skills to be any good at it.
