Okay; Im thinking for a character theme to make him blind - but utilize the Fire element to 'see' by reading the heat around him
Just want to make sure a custom to allow him to 'see' by heat is an okay custom jutsu before going with this though =)
That would be a basic jutsu with an rp effect.
You unlock slots where you can create custom basic jutsu every 5 Int. They have 0 points to spend (unless you lower the range to self which you would in this case in which case they have 5pts, this is all explained in jutsu creation).
Anyways an RP effect is something that technically has no mechanical benefit... such as water walking or jumping really far, they don't give you a bonus to any sort of roll or stat and don't harm the enemy in any way so they're considered "rp effects", things that are helpful to roleplay with but that's about the extent of their usefulness.
That would be suggested, though you'd have to activate it if you wouldn't have it on for some reason (ie you where sleeping, or something to that extent).
Note it wouldn't allow you to get around people hiding either. Even if a target was say hiding behind a bush, you'd still have to make an awareness roll vs their stealth to see them despite technically being able to see the heat (you could make up any reason you want why you failed to spot them if the roll was failed for some reason.)
