He handed her a knife, "Anyhow, enough about my crappy first job after I left home. It is up to you if you want to start with these or darts- there is a slight difference after all. I trust you enough to let you start with the real thing. Just be careful, the blade is sharp, of course. If you want to go on missions soon we should just jump right into training, after all."

"There are several techniques," Warp said with a frown, "I usually use a rotation technique except for close throws like when I was throwing knives at Blink this morning. When you are within ten or fifteen feet of your target it is best to use a non-rotation technique."
He picked up a knife and showed how to hold the handle instead of the blade for a non-rotating throw. "And then you use your fingers to guide the knife as you let go of the handle with your thumb and throw the knife straight at your target," he instructed with a shrug. "It is really quite simple. Actually, throwing knives aren't that great of a weapon but they have their uses and it is what I'm best at because it is the weapon I learned to use first because of the circus."
With a smile he demonstrated a non-rotation throw, "See? You do something like that."

my name is Shadow Walker Shadow Walker adjusted her grip like Warp had. She wanted to hit the target, but that was less than likely to happen considering she hadn't done this sort of thing before, at least as far as she knew. If the knife wasn't going to head to the target she may have another means to get it up there. She threw the knife. It looked like it wasn't even going to make the target. A hand came up and grabbed it before knife landed on the floor and stabbed the target. "Not exactly... but ... it did reach the target right?"

Warp nodded with a smile, "Better than I started out doing. I almost cut open my hand and was several feet short of the target when I first tried without using my power, which I stupidly did the first try because I thought it didn't look that hard. It took me about a year before I got to a point that I could hit a bulls-eye without using my power. You can't be good at everything, I suppose. Of course, I'm good at almost everything which makes things a bit unfair I suppose."
He walked over and picked up the knife that Shadow Walker had thrown and pulled out his throwing knives and returned to her side carrying the knives, twirling one casually in his fingers, showing off. Once he reached her he held out a knife to her, "Practice makes perfect, right?"

my name is Shadow Walker Shadow Walker gave it a few more tries still not getting as far as it needed to be and had to use her power to get to her target. Warp was about to pick up the knives again, "Wait Warp, let me try something..." she looked at the knives. All these knives on the ground... They should have a shadow connected to each one of them, right?. She reached out and thought of them going into their shadow. The blades start to rattle as one by one they were sucked into their shadows. Then when she turned to her shadow the knives rise up. "I want to try something else this time.." She made a fist and pulled it in to the sleeve of her green hoodie she aimed her arm toward the target. Her eyes closed for a moment remembering the weight of the blade picturing how it looked. She launched something made from the darkness of ther sleeve. It hit the target. It looked exactly like the sillouette and it seemed to stay there as long as she maintained her concentration. Her eyes widened as she saw what she did, she wasn't sure if it was going to work.

Warp raised a brow as Shadow Walker hit the target using her power, he could control the trajectory of throwing knives only for ten feet, the target was about twelve feet from him. She actually might have a range that went further than his powers did. Was this what Amp meant by her manipulating shadows? But to be able to control other things using shadows. He realized he stood there gaping at the knife sticking out of the target.
"Well that works," he managed. "I think your starting to figure out what Amp meant by manipulating things using shadows. After trying that trick another time or two you should probably work on figuring out your range: you've already got me bested at range, by the way." He forced a smile, "Congrats, you're a natural. In a couple weeks you'll be able to beat me in a fair fight knowing how my luck is going."

my name is Shadow Walker Shadow Walker smiled a little as Warp made about her shadow manipulation. She really was beginning to understand the possibilities behind this shadow manipulation. The possibilities were endless. "Beating you in a fair fight? I don't know about that. Though, I must admit this kinda feels like cheeting. Heck that last time didn't use a knife... I dunno I think it may be a good idea to prepare in case something happens where I can't use my power... Perhaps I'm being paranoid..." the girl wondered if she was thinking too much.

He smiled and said with a wink, "You think using my power would be 'cheating'?" He grew more serious and continued, "Using your natural abilities- something you were born with isn't cheating."
He sighed as he twirled a knife absently in his hand, "You're right about being prepared in case you can't use your power. The MRD have their mutant collars which drain you of your power and then there is the problem of Amp and his power draining abilities. If he hadn't taken a hostage that I- well just any hostage for that matter- I might have stood a better chance against him. The problem is Amp is a skilled martial artist and good in a fight. His soft heart is his only liability, it always has been..."
"The priority of course is mastering your powers, though," Warp continued, "or at least that is what the priority is in my opinion. Since Magneto did not tell me anything different directly my opinion is what matters. Blink is the one who has to learn to fight not using her powers mostly."

my name is Shadow Walker Shadow Walker felt that he had a point Why shouldn't she use her power? It's using a natural talent you're born with...She watched as he twirled a knife in his hand and heard that he understood her concern. Not only that but it seemed to be a real concern with MRD and Amp's new found ability, though she wasn't thinking about it at first. She took note about Amp's liability she may have to use that to her advantage at some point, especially if things go awry. Shadow Walker was hoping that this would lead Warp into thinking that she'd better train with Amp because there is a very real possibility of loosing her power during battle. Yet it seemed mastering her power was the priority. Amp had said something similar too. "So should we continue with target practice or should we try to see what I'm capable off?"

Warp smiled, "Honestly it is up to you. You're a big girl: I'm going to let you direct your own training. That is how I figured out my powers. If you want to go on the first mission, personally, I think considering what I have seen of your powers if you can use them you would be most useful but we don't have a lot of time. But, I should let you know about who is in the X-men so you have an idea what direction you want to go."
"The leader of the X-men calls himself Myth," began Warp, "his power is one of projection- usually something mythical in nature. He is also highly skilled in martial arts, actually better than me, but I'm only decent because I don't have the dedication to practicing martial arts like I should. There is also Emma Frost, who is a telepath who can change into a diamond form, though she can't use her powers in that form, who is also skilled in martial arts. There is also Cyclops who can cause optic blasts."
"And then there is my sister who they call Love, but also goes by the name Heartbreaker by the Brotherhood. Direct eye contact with her makes one fall in love with her and it depends on the person how you fall in love with her. Supposedly if you already love her, that part of her power doesn't work on you. However, even when she's wearing glasses or you meet her reflected gaze you can fall under the second part of her power- she can order you to do whatever she wants. Mirrored glasses renders her power useless, though. However, she was able to fight almost on equal footing with Amp when it comes to hand-to-hand combat."
He sighed, "It is actually a shame that she decided to side with the X-men because with her power we might have been a lot closer to settling the mess with the homosapiens hunting us down like dogs. Anyways, those are the X-men I know about, maybe knowing a bit about those who meddle with our missions will help you get a feel of how you want to direct your training."

my name is Shadow Walker Shadow Walker smiled a little as he said it was up to her. Yet she wondered, What should she do next? What would I be up against?Warp explained who are the X-Men, their powers and their strengths. She took note that they were all very good martial artists. She honestly felt lacking in that department. As far as she knows she hasn't been in a fight like this before. Perhaps it may be a good idea to focus on that a while. It seems that all of the X-Men excelled in martial arts. In all honesty wouldn't it be better to practice her power at night? There are more shadows then, that would be the time to really see the full extent of her power. Maybe this is a good point to go visit Amp with on martial arts... that is if he was alright or up for it. "Warp, I think I can do way more at night... more shadows then now that I think about it. I think by day I should focus more on the combat side of things. When is the next mission?"

"Around noon to the early afternoon," Warp answered automatically before frowning, "Guess that isn't the best news for you power wise...."
He sighed and said, "I could train you in combat if you want, but like I said I'm not the best at it. Honestly if it came to a fight without a powers I'm pretty sure that my little sister could win against me when push comes to shove." He glanced down at the knife, a crease forming between his brow as he glared at it seeming quite unhappy with himself.

a.k.a. Myth  Slowly Dean woke up, light of the day shining on his face through a small opening in the curtains. He groaned with a sigh as he rolled over. Just five more minutes he would think to himself but he knew he had to get out. The bed was so damn comfortable though. However as he rolled he realized he was already at the end of his bed. With a thud he fell on the floor. Another groan. Great start of the day. Dear morning can't you go away?Slowly he pushed up his hulking form and moved towards the bathroom as he yawned. First thing he did upon arrival was to dunk his head into the water. No better way to wake up. The water served it's purpose to wake him up. He rubbed his face with the water and stared at himself in the mirror. He felt more awake than before but it was getting hard to wake up completely. He never was a morning person. With another yawn he stretched himself. Well time to get dressed. His outfit for today was simple. A tight (all of his shirts were tight because of his size) sleeveless white shirt with black trousers and black shoes. After doing his hair a bit he went to the kitchen. Breakfast was the most important meal of the day after all. As he entered he saw the two. "Morning ladies."

my name is Shadow Walker Shadow Walker's eyes widen and her lips parted. She didn't think her next mission would be so soon. Butterflies formed in her stomach from feeling so under prepared. She thought she would have a few days of training before her first mission or at least a day. Her lips pursed as she thought of what to do next. If her next mission was so soon she would need talk to Amp and work on her combat in mere hours against people who have a lot more training and experience. "I guess I don't have much time. I'll get with Amp to work on combatting with my power. Where is Blink? Is she still moving?"

"You have a day or so to get ready, the parade isn't till Wednesday," Warp clarified, "but yeah you can go up and train with Amp: he is probably up by now. Though, I can't say he would be in the best mood considering you did interrupt his plans to find the "love of his life" and bashed him in the back of the head with a fire extinguisher. I at least would be fairly pissed off, of course I have more of a temper than Amp does." He shrugged before pulling out his phone and sending a text to Blink inquiring her location.
The phone beeped and Warp laughed at the message which told him what he could do with himself in vivid language. "Okay," he said, "She's still-"
There was a snap and Blink demanded coldly, "I'm still what?"Warp rolled his eyes and nodded towards Blink for Shadow Walker, "I was going to say that she was probably still sulking judging by the fact you actually answered a text of mine, but I suppose I was wrong."
Blink crossed her arms and raised one of her pink brow but didn't say anything."Regardless," Warp sighed, deciding to ignore Blink, "Do you want me to go with you to see Amp at least initially to make sure things remain smooth. He might flat out refuse to help you or try to use his power against you again..."
