"I will have my revenge."  Demetri met her angry eyes and whimpered a little, which wasn't as hard as usual, considering the wizard really was scared. Being in the small form of a child was making it harder to be completely confident when an enraged demon is looming over you. "I-I-I bum-bumped into th-the shelf a-a-and they f-fell!" If everything were as it seemed, life would be a dream.  Anya glared at Luke from the corner of her eye, though she was beginning to be a little grossed out over the liquid. She couldn't spit it out, either, because Jethrow had thought of that. She had barely understood the elf's weak comment before she felt the unknown demon on the other side of her leaning over her shoulder. She scrunched her nose as he blew on it, and suddenly she found that she'd swallowed the liquid. After the initial gross taste, she blinked, and that familiar fuzziness from when Demetri and Fester had tortured her mind and knocked her out. She was glad for the first time that the ice was locked on her side, and she leaned against it a little, her eyes shutting. "You're just like him," she muttered, staring up at Jethrow before she passed out. There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing.  Jethrow reached out and caught Anya's shoulders as she slumped forward. He held her up, waiting for Luke to melt his ice, while her words floated through his mind. She'd easily struck down on what Jethrow hated most: that though their ends were different, he and Demetri seemed to always do the same things to the same level. "The antidote is quick-working--she'll wake up in about an hour," he said quietly, knowing only Luke would really care.

She knew he was lying. Dammit, she knew it. And yet she just sighed, her anger slipping from her as she gently put him back on his feet on the floor. "Were you just curious or something?" she asked, going back to the box and putting the bells back into the little ornate box. "If you were, you just had to ask me."
Luke quickly released her from his ice as Anya swallowed the potion. Well that was done and he was glad. Luke nodded to Jethrow, taking his jacket off and wrapped it around Anya to ward off the cold from his ice. He wanted to make sure she didn't get sick because of him.

"I will have my revenge." Demetri sighed in relief as he was set down on the floor. He blinked his wide eyes up at her as she put the box away and told him all he had to do was ask to see them. "I-I'm sorry..." he said quietly, looking down a little. "Where I come from... You're not allowed t-to ask for anything," he continued in a meek voice; though he was making everything up as he went along. Frowning, he looked up a little. "What's your name, Miss?" There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing. "Thank you, Luke....Zuuko. We'll have our Anya back in a little bit," he said with a sigh of relief. He carefully picked Anya up, making sure she was still wrapped in Luke's jacket, and nodded at Searan, who'd been standing by the door peacefully. The creature nodded back, pushing open the door into the hallway and scurrying down the hall to open Anya's door as well.

Lunora closed the box, but left it on the lower shelf so he could satisfy his curiosity about the charm bells when he wanted. She sat on her mattress and stoked the fire, tossing a few small logs on the flames. "My name.." she never got the chance to finish as her brother did for her.
Luke nodded to Jethrow as he left to go to his sister's room. He didn't bother to knock as he opened the paper sliding door. "Lunora. We've gotten Anya back." he said, not even sparing the child a glance. He went and sat next to his sister. The wolf sighed and watched the fire with her, starting to speak in a foreign language to her, his sister replying in the same one.

"I will have my revenge." Demetri turned and looked at the other demon--the fox's brother. Lunora? Strange name, he thought, followed by angry thoughts. Already?! Jethrow already broke that! Damnit... Now what am I going to do?

The two conversed in their language before Luke looked over his shoulder to see the child.
"Who's the kid?"
"None of your business, brother."
That earned her a slap upside the head.
"Ow! Why you..." the fox growled, transforming and tackling her brother who also transformed into his smaller wolf form.
The two canines growled and wrestled, rolling around the floor as they did.

"I will have my revenge." Demetri just managed to jump out of the way before the two wrestling demons rolled over him. Cowering by the side of Lunora's bed, he silently cast a small protection spell that would cause them to subconsciously roll away if the two came too close to him. Even at my normal size, I don't think I'd like to be caught in the middle of that

The two demons rolled around, growling and biting at each other before both just flopped on the floor. They had exhausted themselves and both were content on a truce at this point.
The wolf changed back into his human form and spotted the ornate box. He went over and opened it, taking out the bells. "You still have these?"
"Of course. They were mother's. I couldn't leave them."
Luke growled some and gripped his sister by the shoulders. "You have got to stop blaming yourself about this. That was a long time ago and she would have forgiven you by now. She'd want to you move on." the wolf insisted.
Lunora squirmed a little under her brother's grip. "I can't get over it alright!? I killed my own mother! How can she forgive me?! How can Dad forgive me?! I don't even know how you forgave me for what I've done!"
"Because you're my sister and the only family I have left."

"I will have my revenge." Demetri practically perked up at the sound of new information. So, she feels she killed their mother and blames herself for her death entirely? This could come in handy, he thought to himself, remembering how Lunora had put herself down during their battle inside the dimensional prison. But how can one believe they're to blame for the death of someone they love? How old was the demon when she killed her mother. If everything were as it seemed, life would be a dream. Anya woke up to the darkness of her room and an intense headache. Groaning, she rolled over to her side, burying her face in her pillow and shivering a little, realizing her clothes were damp...Why? She shivered again and pulled the jacket that was around her shoulders tighter. Wait...Jacket? Sitting up abruptly, she pulled the jacket off, inspecting it. It didn't take her long to recognize it as Luke's. Raising her eyebrow, she looked around her room. Sitting by the fire was Searan, and she slid off her bed, creeping up to the creature. "Boo," she whispered, laughing as Searan jumped and whirled around. Little fairy! he shouted ecstatically, flinging himself at Anya and tackling her to the ground. He exclaimed a few more times that she was back before she sat up, rubbing his head. "What do you mean I'm back? Where did I go?" The animal looked at her, rubbed his snout against her face, and then took hold of her wrist gently in his mouth, dragging her out into the hallway where Jethrow was waiting. There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing. Jethrow chuckled at Searan's excitement as he brought Anya to him. He pat the dragon-hybrid on the head before smiling at Anya and hugging her tightly. "How are you feeling?" he asked her, putting his hands on her shoulders and inspecting her.

"You can't be at fault, Lunora! It wasn't your fault in any way!" Luke argued with the fox demon, trying to make her see that she couldn't keep holding this burden.
"It's my fault she's dead, Luke!" Lunora snapped at her brother, making him don a rather surprised and worried expression. "The only reason she's dead was because I was born! I should have been the one to die!"
Luke gave his sister a good slap across the face before pulling her into his arms. "Please don't say things like that...."

"I will have my revenge." Demetri raised an eyebrow. Her mother had died in childbrith and Lunora blamed herself for the death? He almost wanted to scoff, but that would blow his cover. He watched as the siblings hugged and, without thinking about it, he moved towards the two. He didn't say anything, but wrapped his little arms around one of Lunora's legs, squeezing reassuringly. "You couldn't do something like that," he reassured in his quiet voice.

Luke glanced down at the child who was hugging Lunora's leg. Such innocence. He remembered Lunora had the same innocence long ago. Back when she was still young and Luke had never told her of their mother. He let go of his sister momentarily as he bent down to place a hand on Demetri's head. "You should go kid. This isn't a conversation for you to be hearing."

"I will have my revenge." Demetri cringed away from Luke, hiding in the folds of Lunora's kimono. "G-go whe-where s-sir?" he stammered out, pretending to be afraid of the fox demon. He was, after all, a little annoyed with the demon for causing this upset with his sister. HE's kinda rude.

"I don't know. Just not here. Me and my sister need to talk. I doubt you want to stick around and hear it." the wolf demon said before feeling himself pushed away a little.
"Maybe you should leave brother. I think he can comfort me enough." Lunora said, looking down at the child and placing her own surprisingly gentle hand on his head.
Luke sighed some and nodded. "Alright. I'll come get you for dinner then. Make sure to rest though. You look like you need it." he said before exiting her room.

"I will have my revenge." Demetri looked up at Lunora, slightly shocked, as she patted his head. He'd expected her to agree with her brother and expel his child's form to go out and maybe seek out Jethrow. He watched as Luke left the room, and loosened his grip of Lunora's kimono. "I wish I had a big brother," he said softly. "My mommy said he went to fight a war, but he never came back." Of course, Demetri was improvising. It was safer to pretend he'd had a brother who died, than to pretend he had one who was still alive (because he needed to be an orphan all alone) or never had one in the first place. If everything were as it seemed, life would be a dream. Anya raised her eyebrow at....Jethrow? Yes, she recognized the voice, however much younger it had become. "Jethrow?" she questioned, though she was almost positive it was him. "I'm feeling okay--just a little headache. Why? What happened? Are Lunora and Luke alright?" There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing. Jethrow frowned a little. However slightly amusing Anya's reaction was, it wasn't what he'd expected. She clearly didn't remember anything that had happened. "Yes, yes, they're alright," he assured her, hearing the panic in her voice. "Are you sure....You mean you don't...You don't remember what happened?"
