Karin stayed quiet and alert for any signs of someone watching them. If the Mark person was so important, there was probably going to be people looking for him.

Mark stayed silent. "I was just told to come here." Was all he said, although it wasn't the truth he knew something, but wasn't going to give it up.

Alex sighed and looked around at everyone. "So what do we do-" She said before a knife was thrown, from what seemed like no where. It hit her in her left shoulder, just far enough away from her heart, so she wouldn't die. She let out a scream of pain.

Mark tried to get up from the chair to stop the knife from hitting Alex, but it didn't work. She tied him down too good. If he had known that she'd be here and get hurt, he wouldn't have signed up for this.

Aura had leapt as well when Serena did, more so out of concern for her friend than notice of an assailant. Nonetheless, she quickly caught on and hurled one of her tiny daggers in the direction the dagger had come from, hoping it would catch their attacker, but not staying to watch. She was fumbling for the first aid kit in the room, and grabbing another bottle of water.

"Hold still," she muttered to Alex, hands shaking as she moved the sleeve aside a little. For some odd reason, she couldn't focus on first aid at that moment--all she was thinking was trajectory of the weapon, length and weight of the weapon, angle of impact indicates--stop it. Leave it for some math and physics genius to figure that out. You know a bit of this medical stuff. Get to it.

"I think..." she muttered, shifting through the box of supplies and snapping on gloves, "that this isn't going to cut it. Do you feel drowsy or anything? Because if there's no poison in the knife, keeping it in right now would be smarter, just so you don't loose too much blood."

Despite what she said, Aura was pulling rolls of thick gauze and bandage out, in addition to alcohol swabs. She bit her lip as she cleaned the area around the dagger, thinking of the poison that had been on the other daggers--the one that had knocked her out for a few minutes--and doubting that they would be so lucky as too have one without. "It's in pretty deep," she muttered, gauging the distance by the amount of blade still showing and the width of the shoulder. "We're lucky it didn't strike bone," she finally breathed, trying not to think about how close it was to the heart.

((To anyone in medical school or pre-medical studies or anyone who knows anything about anatomy and/ or nursing: I know pathetically little about first aid, and I'm sorry if I just butchered the correct procedure stressed I just slapped together stuff from movies and books I'd seen and read >.< Please correct me if something's horribly awry and sorry for slaughtering it >_< stressed ))

Karin walked up to Alex, she knelt and examined the dagger handle. Something wasn't right, pulling one of her daggers out, Karin compared the two handles. There was something bugging her about her weapon and the one someone else had thrown, they had missed on purpose, Karin knew that. Why though?

((Okie dokie I has no idea about medical. Okie dokie Mil.))

Alex bit down hard on her lips. "I don't friken know!" She said through clenched teeth. She gripped the chair's arms and almost screamed again.

Mark looked at everyone then the area that the dagger was thrown from.

Alex did as Arua instructed, but felt like she just wanted to die. She didn't feel really anything, but the pain.

Mark had, had enough of being tied down. He snapped the ropes and went over to Alex. "I'm so sorry. I didn't want you to be dragged into this." He whispered to her just before she blacked out from the pain.

Karin suddenly snapped her fingers, "Ah! That's it!" she whispered excitedly, "I see why that dagger was so familiar, it's, well, it was one of my first weapons." She noticed the others giving her strange looks so she proceeded to explain what she meant.

"I was a special case in the Spy Academy, I couldn't aim and hit a target at all with the regular daggers that were given to me so they had to fashion an entirely different set for me to practice with. After they decided I could throw any type of dagger with a decent striking percentage, I switched back to the regular ones. But I couldn't get used to throwing those so the head of the Academy made another set of daggers for me. My first set of daggers were disposed of except for one that vanished, I don't get how it was thrown though by a random person. There's only one way to throw these things and as far as the professors and I know, I'm the only freak able to do it." Unless that guy dropped it from the roof. A little voice in Karin's head piped up, That's just stupid! If it were from the roof, how in the world did it manage to get in Alex's back?! another voice argued back.
