"Fear. Fear is my ally." As the lightning stopped, Xanatos huffed an angry sigh, glaring at where the two were/had been. The girl had vanished- oh, he smelled her near, but she'd vanished. The boy, on the other hand, was still very definitely there, and muttering under his breath. But why had the girl vanished?
"... you still joke about hide and seek?" he seethed, his entire body now covered in a thin electric charge, static bolts traversing his muscular form. "You wretch! You insolent WRETCH!"
Throwing his hands into the air above his head, a number of thick bolts exploded out from him, going up, down, diagonal, just traversing the hallway over and over before disappearing. He didn't know if it hit her (or the poor sap in front of him), and to be honest, he didn't care. He was really just trying to release his anger.
"You!" he growled, jutting one finger at Craig- a small jolt of electricity shot toward him and passed just above his shoulder. "Where is she?! Why do you two continue to insult me?!""As you scream in terror...""I shall scream in p̡̼̩͔̘̟̱̝̮͒͑̆ͬ͟l̶̲̣̮̦̯̑̋e͚͈͍̤̟͓͛̓͌̍̈ͩͦ̚͜͞a̭̗͌͊̔̏͑s̫̯͇̞̞̣ͬ̇ͤ͂̈́̈ͮ͜͝ͅų̘̼̗͕̊͛͟r͙̹̙̣̤͖̗̐͂̃̉͋͑̃̈͜͞e͋̂͂ͯ̉͂̈́҉҉̡̛̩̬̟̻̞̞̞̹͎͙̘̪̠̤̩̦̳͉̙̲͍̰͐̍ͣ͋̔ͬ̑́ͧ̓ͥ͛̾̀̕͡."

Ʀebecca Ȼlaire ЯichardsBecca's head turned, eyes focusing upon Agro as her head cocked curiously to one side. "Move move move?" she echoed, letting her gaze shift over him to peer toward the dimming hallway. "...ooo, creepy~ Think we'll see one of the ghosts that guy wa- GUH."
Her head jerked a little, experiencing slight whiplash as Lake began dragging her off, literally at first since he'd caught her off guard. Her body went limp, heels sliding over the ground as she made herself utterly useless, before finally finding her feet again. Her fingers slipped between the fabric of her shirt and neck to hold it away from her skin as she cast Lake a grumpy expression.
"Hey, you don't wanna see what it is? C'mon, you're so boring. Ugh, you guys are all so boring!"
The girl had already run off. This guy was dragging her away. The wolf had no killer instinct! "Boring boring..." she continued to pout, her body wriggling at its bent angle from being tugged along. "No sense of adventure to be found!""Just a bit of an oddball." ĸıɍą ☆ Ƥıēřċǝ_________________________☓☓☓Ahead, Kira finally slowed to a halt and slumped against a wall to catch her breath. But her eyes remained wide, panicked and wary as they darted around herself ceaselessly. Something had been there. Something mauled and bloody and burnt to a crisp, and yet no one else had been afraid. No one else had commented or run or screamed. They hadn't seen it.
Am I going insane..?
She wouldn't be surprised in a place like this. Maybe it wasn't even real. Maybe she'd been hit by a car and she was a coma somewhere, her mind running wildly. Or maybe she'd been killed and this was hell. Her punishment for killing those people was to be locked up in this never ending nightmare.
Her head turned again, to glance back for the others. She regretted leaving them behind, but she just couldn't-
"..nnn..!"
She stumbled away, falling backwards and against the wall, which she promptly pressed herself firmly against. "N-no! No, go away!" she cried, her arms lifting to shield her face. Her eyes squeezed shut, trying to pretend it wasn't there. But the man sure moved quickly for someone with no legs.
There he was. Again, he was floating in front of her in all of his horror. Lips agape, seeping blood, his body charred and broken. But this time, he spoke.
"It's coming..." His words were raspy, half choked by the blood spilling from his lips. "Don't stop... Don't stop.. Keep running..!"
"Wh-who? Stop it! L-leave me alone!"
"Don't stop!" the man demanded more loudly, looming over her as she hid beneath her arms. "It's coming! The lights... the lights! Wh-when the lights... when the lights grow dim.. you'll know.. you'll know it's him!"
"SHUT UP!" Kira shrieked, her body slumping. She fell back against the wall, sliding down and curling up against it. Her knees drew to her chest, but her arms kept over her head, her eyes refusing to open. She could feel the hairs upon her neck standing on in, along with the fur upon a newly reappeared tail. "Go away!"

▲▼▲▼Aureolin Sen "Aureolin, we all have dreams. We all have ambitions. We all want to know everything about this world and the universe that it exists in, but please...stop this unintelligent blathering you call science. It's the composition of science fiction, not science fact. Now if you don't start contributing REAL research, this academy is going to have to let you go. Do I make myself clear?"Aureolin muttered to himself before sighing and answering with a very down-hearted yes. He tuned his back and walked out of the room to head back to his living quarters.Aureolin yawned briefly as he stretched and woke up. He was quite startled from the lack of familiar surroundings. The quiet, messy dorm that he had fallen asleep in was not the same quiet, pristine room he awoke in. "Strange.....I don't recollect such a dream...Hmmm. Strange indeed." Aureolin climbed out of the white bed and bent over to stretch and noticed he was still wearing his Academy's apparel. "Stranger and stranger..." He shuffled his feet to the door, still rubbing off sleep and pressed his hands against the cold, steel handle. This caused such a shock to him. "Why I...I don't believe I've ever had such a real sensory perception in a dream before." He flicked his ear really hard. It started to throb in anger in response. "Well that sums it up...I guess this ISN'T a dream then. I wonder what or rather, where here is."He opened the door to his room slowly, still wishing in the back of his mind that he was still fast asleep in his dorm room, and peered and into the white hall. It was a piercing white and it bore into his mind. "HELLO!" He called out into the empty hall. "Is anyone else in this...place?" As the last words resounded, Aureolin heard an echo; it was the familiar sound of electricity being discharged into the air. Just as he stuck his head out of the door, lightning arced across the hallway and flashed just inches from his nose. "...THE HECK WAS THAT?" He yelled. Just down the hall, maybe twenty meters were two men cursing at each other. One looked panicked, the other had a very sinister look to him. He also appeared to be coated in a veil of electricity. He did a double take to make sure that his eyes weren't failing him. ((OOC: Who else besides Xanatos, Anna Marie, and Craig is in the immediate area?))

" Red! Freaky bullshit meter is cranked up to eleven right now! Not adventure kid, danger! A whole friggen' truckload of it." He called back to her, keen wolf ears catching what she had said. Said danger reeked of smoke, blood and death. That waning light was some kind of harbinger of doom, just bad news. Regardless, he was trying to provide something to follow for Lake and the ditz, but at the same time keep up with Kira. Speaking of which, seemed to be having some sort of mental breakdown and perhaps trying to outrun it somehow. He didn't know, all he knew was that deaths fingers were at his spine and he wasn't going to let it grab hold.

Or just childhood influences. Probably the latter. She wasn't the only one hit, though, and hearing him yell out did mean that he wasn't totally hurt like herself. It was more of a ...surprise, to say the least. For the both of them, or so it seemed. Alright. So the guy was right, there was something going on. People here were not normal. Right. Well, hopefully some good X-men could come and save the day and maybe Angel could come and sweep her off her feet and they could get married and have bab---
Alright. She was getting ahead of herself here. One myth at a time. People had powers. That was it...
...
For now.
Keeping her eyes off of the crazy with lightning, Anna-Marie looked at Craig with a puzzled expression. What in heavens name above was he looking for? She really became concerned when he started muttering to herself. She was about to say something when she heard those words. Those words that no woman would ever put up with. Narrowing her eyes, she moved to push him. "You're the one pretending I'm not here, stupid. At least insult me when I'm actually not around, p***k." She was halfway tempted to stomp on his foot, but thought against it considering she wasn't wearing shoes. Kicking his shin would have to come in later if he persisted in being....pardon her English curse word, an a**.
What really got her was when the crazy was yelling about the hide and seek thing. First of all: It wasn't a joke. Second of all: Why the hell would she play at a time like this?! Her eyes grew wide as he yelled. Dear god, he was absolutely insane. They both were. She was RIGHT FRIGGEN HERE. Her body tensed and she jumped slightly as the lightning nearly struck Craig again. Fearfully, she was about to admit she was there when she stopped. They couldn't see her? If they really couldn't see her, then they hopefully wouldn't mind what she was going to do next. Clenching her shoe straps, she brought back her arm and threw the two objects to the lightning guy.
If they hit, great. If they missed and clattered, well...she would just think of something else. Maybe she could try turning and running, yelling for the guy to find her...if whatever spell they were under continued to stay. She was thankful that her wish was granted and they couldn't see her...but how long would it last?

 Craig Ialden
The Shadow Man
"What if I were to...
...disappear...
...in front of your very eyes?"
No longer concentrating on the missing Anna-Marie, Craig was paying full attention to Lightning Boy, watching out for any of the bolts the man had a habit of throwing at him. Therefore, he was rather surprised when her voice came from right next to him and then he found himself being shoved sideways. Right into the wall. Which saved him from the lighting bolts that the man had just created.
After the bolts had ended, he quickly moved back to his previous position, just another bolt of lightning passed over his shoulder. "Anna-Marie. If you're still there, run. If you aren't aware right now, you're invisible. Take this opportunity to get away from this psycho. I'll try and distract him." He said softly, so that it would only look like he was muttering to himself again. Hopefully she would realize that it would be a good opportunity. And if she had already run, he'd be talking to air.
"Listen, I have no idea where the girl went. I haven't known her for long at all. For all I know, she could have teleported to somewhere outside of this god forsaken place. So, how about you not keep trying to kill me. That would be rather exciting." He said to Lightning Bug, hoping to reason with him, trying to give Anna-Marie enough time to get away. Unless she did something stupid....
I am the one who bends the shadows to my will. I am the Shadow Man

"Oooh? You're super strong neh? I shall remember that!" Yume snickered.
"Waaah- my name!? Sorry- I completely forget- heh it happens. My name is Yuma Krospi. I know weird combination neh?" she chuckled, knowing how weird the two names sounded together. " My father from North America, while my mother was from Japan."
Yume explained absently as she looked around on the floor for any sight of her prescribed bottle of medication. The longer it took the find, the more nervous she seemed.
It laced her voice like a frightened undertone.
"W-well, this place kinda reminds me of a hospital. What kind of hospital I'm not so sure... but if it is like one, then maybe different colors mean different things for the people inside. Green sounds like a nicer color then Red though."
They finally reached Yume's room and she stuck her nose inside. Due to the lack of facilities inside, simply.. a padded room, with a bit of a ledge for sleeping on... there wasn't many places her bottle could have rolled. And with that revelation, her heart sank.
"So... was your room padded like mine was?"

"Fear. Fear is my ally." As the electricity coursed through the hallway, the white-haired hellion suddenly tensed upon hearing the female's voice so close; immediately thereafter, the young man had been pushed. Even the psychotic b*****d torturing them could put two and two together. His lips curled into a disturbing grin, and though his eyes were still hidden behind a veil of white bangs, it wasn't hard to imagine them gleaming in sadistic glee.
He ignored the new stranger's shout from behind him (Aureolin), and instead kept his eyes on the two mice in front of him. And it was a good thing he did- two shoes mysteriously appeared from thin air, whizzing straight at him, and (most importantly) revealing the young woman's location. They struck his chest with a resounding 'thud' before falling to the ground.
Before they hit the solid metal floor, he had his right arm out again, pointed straight at the origin of the shoes... only, in a strange (almost gruesome) transition, the entirety of his arm had become an arm-length (hand to shoulder), iridescent-scaled cannon, crackling violently with electricity. The shoes hit the ground, clattering for a moment.
"I found you~" he cheered, now completely ignoring the insect that was Craig. The girl was the one who initially insulted him... and she was mighty pretty, too. Would make quite the trophy-b***h. And he was feelin' feisty, anyway. There was a swift crackling of electricity as the cannon fired a blast of pure lightning in (what he thought) was her direction. If she'd tip-toed to the side without a noise, he wouldn't have noticed."As you scream in terror...""I shall scream in p̡̼̩͔̘̟̱̝̮͒͑̆ͬ͟l̶̲̣̮̦̯̑̋e͚͈͍̤̟͓͛̓͌̍̈ͩͦ̚͜͞a̭̗͌͊̔̏͑s̫̯͇̞̞̣ͬ̇ͤ͂̈́̈ͮ͜͝ͅų̘̼̗͕̊͛͟r͙̹̙̣̤͖̗̐͂̃̉͋͑̃̈͜͞e͋̂͂ͯ̉͂̈́҉҉̡̛̩̬̟̻̞̞̞̹͎͙̘̪̠̤̩̦̳͉̙̲͍̰͐̍ͣ͋̔ͬ̑́ͧ̓ͥ͛̾̀̕͡."

If I'm wrong in my assumption, tell me and I'll have her dodge to the side instead~ ] xxxxӇoly moley, dear god above! What in the world was he talking about?! Invisible?...Really? No. It couldn't be...but seriously? They couldn't see her?! That made sense, yet...didn't...what in the world was going on?! She was about to nod but paused, looking at him with surprise. "But...what about you?" asked the blond woman quietly, turning to look at the psycho with the lightning bolts. He couldn't see her...HE COULDN'T SEE HER! This was a dream come true! She wouldn't ponder why this was happening right now, only be happy for the fact that it was.
Staring at Craig for a few seconds longer, she finally made her move, ridding herself of her shoes and making a move to run for it. Of course, she wasn't planning on being distracted by the newer person who picked such a time to arrive. Her plan was askew, having first thought she would run the moment she let the shoes flying. Stupid distractions! hearing the thud, she turned back to look at the crazy white haired boy, her blond hair flying as she turned quickly. Wide eyes watched as the man held out his arm, a cackle of energy enveloping it. His words didn't help her fear, either. The moment she saw it flicker an inch away from it, her body reacted and her legs split apart, bringing her body down to the ground.
Arms over her head and nose touching her leg, the woman remained on the floor, doing the splits as she dodged the element aimed at her. Keeping her head down as best as possible, she tilted her chin up to look at the guy, body quivering as she did so. Slowly and silently as possible, she moved to a sitting position before crawling onto her feet. Tiptoeing behind Craig, she gently tugged on his shirt, whispering to him, "I'll lure him away. Talk to you soon." Short and to the point, the girl lightly made her way somewhat down the hall, passing the stranger and giving him a wide amount of space so he didn't feel her. Finally, when she deemed she was far enough (and near a corner so she could dodge anything), she yelled.
MARCO!
The ashen male didn't like games, right? This was sure to set him off. Turning on her heel, she ran, making sure her footsteps were loud (well, they seemed to her) before she stopped and pressed tightly against the wall, waiting to see if the guy would follow after her. Craig didn't seem to have any abilities, and considering she was the freak between the two of them, she mine as well try to help. He did help her when she was alone, right? She could at least pay him back...
It just better not cost her her life.

"Nngh..."
A soft groan sounded out in the small, dirty room, as a slender figure began to stir. Silver hair reflected the dim light, shining softly as purple eyes slowly fluttered open, squeezed shut, and finally widened.
"What..?"
The figure pressed her hands against the floor and eased herself up to a sitting position, her legs folded neatly beside her as her long coat lay awkwardly twisted around them. Her lips pursed into a frown as she took in her surroundings. It was a tiny room. Dirty. Void. Dark. She took little comfort in that fact as she huffed out a sigh, then seemed to stiffen, realizing something. "Ray? Ray, where are you?" She paused, awaiting a response, but soon realized she was alone. "...I swear, if you think this is some kind of joke..." Her fingers reached behind her, to a belt around her waist, only to find an empty sheathe. Her dagger had gone missing.
Abruptly, her features twisted into a scowl, masking alarm as her hands shifted to quickly untangle her feet. A second later she was standing, brushing out her jacket and then her skirt, as her eyes took a better look from a standing height. Small. Empty. Grimy. It was just as bad. Fading grogginess had not faded the foulness of the atmosphere.
Her head slumped, looking quite agitated as she huffed out another sigh. "I guess I'd better go find him... that idiot."
With that, Lunestia turned and strode from the room, her arms folded across her chest as her long sleeves dangled by her sides. A small, tipped black tail flicked beneath the long coattail of her jacket, while two tiny horns poked from her head through the silver hair. No, she wasn't human, but this place seemed far stranger than her.

.Lake. Lake opened his mouth to respond to the wolf, or perhaps yell at Becca as well, but Kira's scream caught him off guard, and his head snapped around in the direction it had come from.
"Damnit!" he muttered vehemently. He let go of Becca, feeling she was probably safer with Agro than with...well, no one...and suddenly, he was gone. His speed was impressive, and he was almost a blur as he disappeared from Becca's side toward the source of the yell, claws extending further as he ran. Was she being attacked? Mauled? Killed?
...What did he care?
"Kira!" he called firmly, skidding to a halt as he spotted her and looking around wildly for danger. "What happened?!"

Ʀebecca Ȼlaire ЯichardsBecca blinked, her eyes darting around herself. There were so many noises, and so much going on right now, it was hard to decide where to focus her attention. She thought she could hear yelling in the distance, then screaming in a familiar voice. Was it that girl? Apparently so.
She stumbled over herself as her collar was suddenly released, and her head jerked up to stare toward Lake in surprise. He was letting her go free? No, he was probably going to see if that girl was alright. Either that, or he was just fleeing on his own. Apparently she'd been slowing him down, because he took off way faster than she could ever move.
Huffing a sigh, and acting completely oblivious to their impending doom, she twirled in a circle and skipped off after Agro. "So you don't even wanna try for a glimpse of whatever's coming?""Just a bit of an oddball."

ĸıɍą ☆ Ƥıēřċǝ_________________________☓☓☓Kira jolted again, flinching as a new voice arrived. It took her a moment to realize that it was familiar, and not another ghostly spe-
Her eyes widened in sudden realization, and she mentally kicked herself for not putting two and two together until now. The thought had just entered her head so carelessly, and if she was anywhere else, she might've cast it back out. But here, anything seemed to be possible.
Shakily, her hand rose, again pointing toward the floating figure hovering before her. "Ghost," she spoke, trying to hold her voice steady and regain herself. She kept her eyes closed, and when she had to open them to stand, she made sure they were averted. She didn't want to see. Every now and then, she'd flinch, body swaying away from where she'd last seen it. She didn't want to see it or let it touch her. She could still hear its raspy breathing, little mumbles mixing in as it urged her to hurry. But her mind was still busy piecing things together, and hoping she wasn't going insane.
"The... the thing th-that was back there, that no one else could see... It f-followed me. You c-can't see it, right? It.. it's a ghost."
Back upon her feet, her head turned, her hand lowering to block her vision so she couldn't see to the side. She kept her eyes fixed upon Lake, her expression grim, while panic still danced in her eyes. "At least I.. I think it's a ghost. Th-this happened before, when I..." She shuddered a little at the memory, the fur upon her tail still rigid on end as it poked from beneath her makeshift skirt. Swallowing hard, she continued on. "It says s-something's coming. Something bad. D-don't stop- a-ah..."
Abruptly, her hand reached out as she realized her own mistake, grasping Lake's again as she started moving, walking at first, then breaking into a run soon after. "Don't stop running!" she cried, adopting the ghost's favorite phrase. "It said when the l-lights go dim, then.. then he's coming! I don't want to lose my legs!" ♥ ☓ ♥

"I'm Luna," said Luna through a giggle. "And don't worry, I've heard much sillier-sounding names." She smiled.
Luna searched under the bed to see if she can find anything that at least looked like a container of medication. She also turned around to make sure Yume wasn't aobout to fall asleep.
After hearing Yume's theory of what the colors stand for, Luna nodded. "That sounds like it makes sense, even though nothing else around here does."
"No, my room loooks like a poorly put together bedroom," she said in response to Yume's question. She looked around and took in her environment a bit more. "Um...no offense, but aren't padded rooms for...'crazy or unstable' people?

▲▼▲▼Aureolin Sen Sen watched with intent as the man was almost literally throwing lightning, then flying shoes and...invisible girls. Aureolin slumped against the doorframe and gawked at the combatants. Aureolin scratched his head. He came to the conclusion that it would probably be most wise to stay put until they continue their brawl elsewhere or slip behind Xanatos while he is focused on fighting. He closed the door. For the moment, he smiled. His boss was wrong. Pseudo-Science does exist and it is real. Very real. Several small shadows cast by the flickering fluorescent light began to well up into what resembled a liquid. Two small, beady yellow eyes welled up and blinked. The hairs on Aureolin's neck stood on end. He was getting that paranoid feeling again. Like he was being watched. He turned around to face the room and the lights blinked off and on again. Nobody was there. He closed his eyes and rubbed his temples to relax.
