Reijin-chan Meldisse: Your character profile goes in the same post as your test. Ieara: Welcome to the Mizunoyuri Okiya! Ok, so I have a question of my own: How does a maiko find an onee-san? I know the geisha does the choosing, but how would a maiko become known among the geisha? My character only knows one, and she already has two maiko. Ack... seems I have neglected the questions-thread... sorry guys... I'm trying to catch up... if I miss a question that has not been answered yet, please post it again. Alright: @Reijin: You could ask the geisha you know to have your character accompany her to the teahouse and then ask a geisha from another okiya to take her as her imouto-chan. I'm sorry, but that is the only solution I know of. Ieara redface Ack! I'm so sorry that I'm back so quickly with another question! My character was just sorted into an Okiya, but I'm unsure of what to do from there. Should she wait until she's spoken to to start cleaning, or should she just guess at what needs done? (Unlike me, she's a hard worker, hehee!) Just RP as you see fit and interact with the other players if possible. Ieara I feel like I'm constantly bugging people with questions- ack! sweatdrop When a person eventually becomes a geisha and adopts a little sister, would it be appropriate for them to pass on some of their kimono to the sister? I know that the guild itself cannot afford one for each member, but I imagine it would create a nice sense of community if we were able to do this. Hmm... I think if you two close friends, you can come to an agreement, but I would not expect a player to give away their items to someone else... sorry if that wasn't helpful...

This is more of a suggestion than a question, I'm afraid, but I thought it worth posting!
After the Gaia Towns get worked out (since currently no available 'vacancies' can be moved into crying ), I was just wondering if it might be appealing to anyone to try to get a 'geisha district' together. That way, we could RP and know our neighbors!
Well, while I'm here I might as well ask a question, too! My character is around the number of posts in which one would normally apply to be a maiko. (Though I'm not sure if my posts have been long enough.) I'd like to ask about her becoming one, but I'm not sure how to RP it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You could just pm Nitta, and ask her if you're ready. Meanwhile in the RP, you could mention how much you've been working, and how you're looking forward to your approaching maiko ceremony. That way, when you are promoted, t won't seem like such a sudden change.

Hehee, it's a pleasure to be able to see you! Some of us newer members have yet to meet you!
Because I haven't bugged people enough with RPing questions, now that my character is a Maiko, how do I RP that realistically? I thought about having my character being summoned to the Okaa-san's room, and coming out with the knowledge of her new position, but I don't want to impose on Nitta-san by doing that.

The time period? From the postings I see contemporary and historical references.
