Hana let a smile grace her face that the Cheshire Cat would be proud of when she looked at the book. "Men problems, indeed," She ran her hand over the cover of the book, "but men always cause problems, don't they? Let's chat about something a bit more...interesting, eh? You're interested in the Dark Arts?"

"Indeed they do" Kiera said quietly as she watched the girls hand. She took a deep breath "Well....yes,i guess would be the easiest answer" She looked to her "Its run in my family, they've all known its charm and spells...except for me. My parents never really found the need to teach me,so i decided to go on my own and learn." A smile slowly spread across her face. "They're the only ones of the family who do not approve of it,they think its....unnecessary,but i don't" She let out a giggle,then turned to the girl "Are you interested?" Kieras eyes lit up "I Can teach you if you'd like" She smiled brightly.

"Oh, I know quite a bit about the Dark Arts, but shoot. Show me what you got, girlie. I'm always interested to learn more. Gotta impress Papa, you see?" Hana stood up and stretched, grinning down at her new found friend.

Kiera blushed as the girl stood up,she didnt really know that much. She had actually just started the book. She took a deep breath and stood slowly,then set the book down on the chair. "ok....so i dont know that much" She said embarrassed. "I didnt actually expect you to know about it,i just started the book..the only thing i know how to do at this point is block spells." She looked at the ground and sighed. The girl probably was going to laugh at her,but that was expected.

Hana smiled fondly and let a chuckle slip past her lips, "Hey, don't feel put out. Who really knows that much about the Dark Arts besides those whom regularly use them? There's so much mystery to them! Plus, Papa tried to teach me about them at a young age, so I got a bit of a head start."

Kiera smiled at the girl "I wish my parents had taught me" She looked at her wand "Do you think you....might be able to teach me some?" She looked to the girl with a hopeful expression in her eyes. "I would be very very grateful"

Kiera smiled at the girl "I am willing to learn all that you are willing to teach" She smiled "Oh I dont think i ever properly introduced myself. My name is Kiera" She bowed,her wand in hand.

"Oh, you're making it difficult," she laughed and bowed back. "I'm Hana, pleasure to meet you." She stood erect and furrowed her brows thoughtfully. "Well...Would like to know how to produce water? Not what I'd really call 'Dark Arts' but it can be used pretty deviously." she sighed as if remembering a fond memory.

"Alright," she tucked her own wand into her shirt and straightened Kiera's out. "Keep it like that until you say the chant..spell..whatever you want to call it," she took her wand out of her shirt and positioned it as well, "Repeat after me: Aguamenti." As soon as she said that, a small jet of water shot out of the tip of her wand. "You can control the power of the water. Just have a very precise idea in your head of what exactly you want to come out of your wand. If you want a trickle, make sure you really just want a trickle. Otherwise we could soak the common room."

Kiera stood there and kept as still as possible as she concentrated on her thoughts. She took a deep breath and spoke "Aguamenti!" A small burst of water flew into the fire. Kiera smiled brightly "Yes!" She turned to hana "Thank god" She smiled "Thank you really" She laughed. It was a good thing she wasnt thinking any bigger or else just as hana had said,she would have soaked the whole room. No one would have been happy about that. She let out a small laugh as she thought about the soaked rugs and walls.

Hana smiled, "It's really quite a useful spell," she sat down on the couch and crossed one leg over the other. "Now let me ask this... how interested are you really into the Dark Arts?" She raised an elegant eyebrow, "I mean...Do you have any sort of...plans for the future, if you catch my drift."

Kiera smiled,then the tone changed and her face became a little more serious as she sat down in her chair again. She held the book to her chest and began thinking "Well I hadnt made any official plans i guess. I was thinking of making friends here and....working things out." She looked to the girl "Im not a big fan of working on my own,I like being able to confide in others...as long as theyre trustworthy you know. See what theyre plans were and work together." She crossed her legs on the chair in front of her.

Hana's face brightened, "Well that's lovely. Glad to know we're on somewhat the same page. Most of the older Slytherins have plans for the future, none of which being honorable to common folk, but considering most of us are pure-blood, common folk wouldn't quite understand. You hear what I'm saying?"
