Armand shot the blonde a small glare. He didn't have to go explaining this again did he? Then again, the boy seemed a tab out of the sorts. He frowned, comtemplating what to do, then his gaze settled on his knees again. He flexed his fingers, watching them move for a while.
"Having a feeding bag. . . it's like you humans marrying, except there are slightly different laws. You age slower, and depending on how you die we can die too. If you were to be beheaded tomorrow, I doubt my attatchment to you would be sufficent to make me die as well, but I don't want you to die. Not yet at least. I've starved myself for a good amount of time so far. . . "
He paused, searching silently for words and then started again.
"If I become attatched to you, it may be possible that if you were beheaded I would lose my head as well. Because of the bond there would be. That is why some vampires choose to make their feeding bag's life as miserable as possible so that they do not form that bond. The Achyls, my clan, does that often. But the Bryony and Kalika clans rarely do.
That is why I don't know what to do with you. I can't be kind; I've never imagined death. But then you smell and taste like nothing I've had before and I admit I am selfish."
He looked up from his fingers, dazely eyeing the canvas.

Mitsuki looked at his hand and then to Nova. "That's good. You got your....erm...well you got me. Plus my blood. Everything will be fine from here on out. IF your father doesn't like it then, took bad....I guess.....but you have to be strong about it." He explained as he noticed how quiet the area is. "Have you always lived in a quiet area...kinda eerie. Especially, the surroundings here..." The trees look like the leaves were almost falling off and the streets deserted. He wonders if this was a vampire location.

The human continued to paint but listened carefully to what the vampire was saying. Slowly the buildings had windows then they became vieled by shadows. He looked at Aemand when he paused. The boy looked back at the painting when words started to flow out of the Achyls mouth.
His hand moved elegantly over the canvas creating a whispy cloud that moved across the moons cold surface. Icarus stopped and looked at Armand. "How do I taste and smell like nothing you've ever had?" Okay so his wording of the question didn't sound very well said but it was the best his mind could come up with while he painted.

Armand thought he would forget about the injuries his human sustained and strangle the boy! Was he honestly that dense? Did he have to explain the chocholate theory again? He clasped his hands together, smiling then litled his head back to look at the ceiling. Not much to look at up there. . .
"It's like only ever giving a child sugar confectionary, then one day offering him chocolate. Sugar is fine, all the different flavoured lollipops and the cotton candy, but chocolate is different. Addicting. It's like. . . only drinking water then one day picking up koolaid. That's all you ever want after that. But for vampires, that's all we can ever have for a very long time."
He pressed his cheek into the sheets, looking over at Icarus.
"Tell me if you don't understand. I'll will try to explain better," He said in a almost sardonic fashion. "And I'll throw in a bedtime story as well."
He snickered softly, find his strange comments funny, and raised his eyebrows.

"Oh, you already explained that...sorry." he mumbled after Armand had explained it again. Icarus almost laughed when the vampire said he'd throw in a bed time story. "I understand it perfectly now, thank you...and I don't need a bed time story." The boy sighed as he painted, his eyes moved along with the brush in his hand. Icarus put down the brush and picked up a finner point bristled brush that he dipped in red, the red paint was used to highlight certain areas in the painting.

"Father preferred quiet places. But, now that I think about it, we do live in a rather creepy area," Nova said and looked around. The trees did not look as they did in the main sections of town. It was a bit more depressing and calm, brown leaves floating to the ground. Of course, it was the beginning of autumn, Nova's favorite time of the year. He loved to watch the leaves change from vivid green things of life to the brown skeletons that had held them together. It was a work of art in his mind. As they approached his home, he heard shouts and a man burst out the door...His father. The man looked at Nova, his eye twitching slightly.
"Nova!?" he burst out and ran over to them, disappearing then reappearing to a human's eye. He glared at the human, sniffing the air around the two. "What did you do, Nova? You chose this male!?" he said. "You're the next in line to take the Kalika Clan into the ages! You're the one whose offspring we've awaited!" He shook his head and looked around. "Of course, there's Roin, but we all know he's going to choose a male..." He sighed and looked at his son. He placed his hands on the slight shoulders of the young vampire and then looked at the human. "I am very upset at you for choosing this... This human... But, it is your choice." He stood up straight and cleared his throat. "I am Zephyr Kalika, the current leader of the Kalika Clan. I see that my son cannot take that place, but it was very nice to meet you," he said and extended his hand.

Mitsuki nods and watched as they approached the house. His eyes widen when he saw the man that came out of the door fuming disappear and reappear in front of them. He listened to the other talk to Nova and suddenly felt out of place. It wan't until Nova's father extended his hand to shake. Mitsuki blinked and took the hand, "Mitsuki, nice to meet you, sir." Once he shook the other's hand in a firm grip, at least it was to him and withdrew his hand.

"Yes, yes father... Well, there's nothing you can do now!" Nova exclaimed and hugged Mitsuki, looking at his father, testing to see what he would do. All the man do was stand there, his face blank of any emotion. That was his scariest face in Nova's mind. It meant he was planning some way to get what he wanted. Letting go of his human, Nova looked at him and smiled. "Now that I've chosen my human, I'll be moving from our home," he said and looked at his father's dark grey eyes. They were not the usual angry color, but more of an understanding look. Nova tilted his head to the side and looked over at Mitsuki. "I'll get my things, and then I'm moving in with you." He ran into the house and began to pack his things.
While alone with the human outside, standing as his guard, Zephyr coughed. "I'm glad my son has finally chosen a human. In fact, I'm glad he's chosen anyone... Even a male," he admitted. It was hard for him to do such a thing, but it was the truth. If Nova had starved himself any longer, it was a sure tihng that he would die. The older vampire, being around five hundred-years-old, had seen many young vampires like his son who refused to accept a human 'feeding bag'. He found that to be naive and stupid, but it was their choice. The clan leader looked back at the house and sighed. "But, I can see why he had chosen you. You're not all that bad with him." Zephyr looked back at the human and grinned. "This is the beginning, my son," he said. That was his way of accepting the human into the Kalika Clan. "You're one of us now... Well, not a vampire, but you're among us."

Mitsuki looked at Nova as he left to get his things, Oh well...as long as my land lady doesn't find out...I'm good. When he was alone with his father, he stood there uneasy. He didn't know how to act, let alone understand what this meant or what the other will do. When the father spoked to him in such a away, it relaxed him. "Thanks....it just...I'm trying to make sense out of all this...." he sighed and scratched his head, "But out of all of us humans.....Nova had me.....a realist....now I don't know what is real anymore.." He explained.

Nova returned with a single suitcase, a pillow and a blanket. "I'm back!" he yelled out happily and listened to the rest of Mitsuki's sentence. "You don't know what's real?" Nova repeated. His father looked at him and grinned, his soft expression sending a strange bolt of shivers down his spine. Since when did his father give him such a kind smile? Nova looked back at his human, dropping his things and hugging him tightly. "What's real is that you're pretty, you're with a vampire, and my father had accepted you! How awesome is that?" he asked and glanced at his father. It did not seem to affect him anymore that his son with with one of his own gender. Nova was so happy. He wondered if there was any other reason he had chosen Mitsuki. It was not because he was weakened that night. He did go to the human before he was so weak... He was drawn to him. The vampire kissed Mitsuki's cheek and looked at his father. "I must be off now, father," he said and gathered up his things and bowed. The elder vampire nodded and bowed in return to his son. "I'll make sure not to get in horrible trouble." He looked at Mitsuki and grinned. "Shall we go?"

Mitsuki 'eep'ed when he was hugged and smiled, "I guess your right..." His eyes widen and his face darkened when he felt the kiss on his cheek. He hid his eyes under his bangs. "Come on..." he said after he waved good bye to the other vampire. "Come on...we better get going....I have tutoring in the morning so, I'll be heading in early. You may stay up a little bit if you want....doesn't matter to me...." He then remembered, I need to make a bed for him....it's either the couch, the floor, or my bed....hmmm

((Who can deny a pretty guy such as Nova!? He must sleep in the same room as Mitsuki! Be it on the floor or in his bed! Heh))
"Tutoring, eh?" Nova asked as he waved good bye to his father who had started back into the house. The vampire giggled as he looked back at Mitsuki. "I love it when you blush like that." He looked around and then handed Mitsuki the pillow and blanket. "Here, you can carry the lighter things," he said and grinned. He was so happy. Finally he had chosen his human, been accepted by his father, and now he even got to live with his human! How great could things get? He looked up at the sky and hummed softly the songs he had learned from a century before.

Mitsuki thought and finally came out and asked, "Would you like to sleep on the couch? Or share my bed? It's up to you...I think that the floor would be too hard for you...unless you like flat ground." He held the other's pillow and blanket. He noticed that his house was coming up into view. He didn't even bother notice if he let the lights on or off; because his parents will never be home. He reached into his pocket to get his keys.

Armand nodded, still gazing at Icarus. His free dirt blonde hair. His ocean blue eyes. The tan hue that coloured his skin. He was trying to accept that he might be able to like a human. No doubt they were weaker, but he still needed at least one and he cursed himself for it. His eyes turned from the boy to twhat he was painting. And other city. The city, in a blackout. He had certainly gone to a fantastic viewing point.
"Where did you go? The top of the musuem?"
He would have to take Icarus to the top of the skyscraper. He had gone there a few times, but never at a blackout. That must have been more like a horror movie than anything. He smiled. The skyscraper wasn't the best place to be. It was cold and pressy windy at times, but it was tall and you saw pretty much everything up there. Even if people looked like they weren't there, you could still hear them in the day.
That had been a mistake, going up there in the daytime. The sun had literally fried his skin. Night only!
The red bristles highlighted the buldings, reminding Armand of the blood moon, an eclipse. All red light, but that wasn't the main objective.
"You like tall places. . . ."
(( Where are they anyhow. . . I mean on the map. City, country, province wise ))

((I...Umm....err...Don't know. Mar, where are they?))
Stopping his hand at a corner of the canvas where a good chunk of it was white, he thought. "Hmm, I know it wasn't the museum. I'll look at the picture I took later, right now I need to figure out what go's here." Icarus nodded to the white spot that was curved like the inside of a hood. When he had gone up there he had been wearing a hooded jacket and the hood had gotten in his way many times.
He looked over at Armand. "Yes, I like tall places." The boy turned back to the canvas and decided to finish the rest of the picture before trying to paint that small white section of the canvas. running along the canvas, a flag was starting to form, it twisted in what looked to be pain as the wind played with it.
