Onyx frown a bit.
"Maybe, but we were just outside. Simon prefers the outdoors, like father...so she probably woudl have heard us call for her out there and come running. not to mention Simon woudl have too."
A sniff, and getting donw on hands and knees, looking for footprints in teh flour that might have been froma girl covered in it.
"I see footprints but there's no trail of her going outside that I see. but then again the slaves may have cleaned it already. you pickup anything?"
Malik smirked at her.
"You may know where I keep them, but you still can't get them."
A grin and nod to Kieran.
"We probably all could. and besides, things will shape up around here soon enough I'd imagine. Roarke is bringign some added defenses, we're having some ships built, one will go to our merchant friend..that way we can expand our own trades. So it's not a bad idea to relax for awhile."
and a mussing on Piper's hair.
"Yes, cinnamon sticks are great bribes here..as I have yet to see any cinnamon down here at all."

She just quirked an eyebrow at him. "Says you...I think I know a way to get to them..." Piper was resourceful aftre all and at least new a few ways to try and get the damn things. Though a grab at his hand, as he took to messing up her hair...why did he love doing that so much? And of course her free hand went to fixing what he had messed up.
Kieran tilted his head in thought lightly. "I doubt there are any means of producing it here...and cinnamon has always been quite the luxury item in the trade world. So when you do come by it, it's quite the deal you have to strike." And a grin at them both, eyes shifting to Malik. "Remind me to send you some when I go back to Andal so you can keep your bribe supply full." And then a slight nod. "Sounds like your trip to Roarke was quite the benificial thing."
"Try not to poke at the little dragons though...if you loose a finger, I won't be resposnsible for it.

Moonstone shrugged. "Simon travles around the place alot. they could have easily missed your call." Moonstone sniffed at the air more, moving his head this way and that, and squating down on his toes to smell the girls hieght level.
"If the slaves had cleaned up already, then they would have gotten everything, there is still flour all over the place in here."
He got up and roamed around the kitchen a bit. The shrugged. "I can't pick up anytihng. Not anything fresh anway."

"well she didn't just vanish..I mean...even if her void's bad luck was a reason we'd see that black goo. you picking up any other scents? my nose is all screwy still from a trip into Deepwater. place smells of feces. and not human. lord knows what the new ruler is using for military."
Okay there was a worried edge. he was her guardian, and damn it he wasn't going to lose someone else he promised to protect if he can help it.
Idea. Malik got that wicked little grin.
"you know..perhaps..want to get a supply run going? you feed us cinnamon, and what piper doesn't consume I can sell at high price to other kingdoms.."
Of course a look from piper quieted him.
"yes yes...no buisness or war, I'm grounded."

Moosntone shrugged, although he wasn't so concerned. Children had a habit of worrying thier cartakers, when it usually turned out to be nothing at all. "I got nothing."
He turned around and heade back out of the kitchen. "Might as well go ask the others if they've seen her, before you get panicy, Onyx."

Piper had her hands on her hips. "That's right no business...though I will forgive this one and only this one slip up because it's about cinnamon and it benifits me directly." And then a look to dear old dad...hey Malik did have a good idea after all. "But he has his point...it's a good idea."
Kieran crossed his arms over hsi chest, propping one on the other, a hand rubbing at his chin lightly as he took on that thoughful look. "You're both right...it is a good idea. Not only do you get benifit but I can get some as well seeing as it's cross planes. And I'm sure I can establish my own connections in Andal herself through your mother...she has better connections than I to Torea."
"You can't go through Carris?" Hey, she was allowed to talk business, Malik was the one grounded from it.
"I can, but it depends on shipping at the moment...and Torea merchants are more willing to go close to Daimos which cuts time rather than going through Carris. Besides...you know how those high elves are...they'd make my life harder than it is. They're already trying to jip me on mithril."
And she turned a look to Malik. Teasing much? Maybe a little, but she let it drop...after all what they talked on was probably really nothing he could follow unless he had a map. Taking hold of Malik's hand, she patted it likely. "Right, no work for you. Though I will let you do what you will when Roarke comes...we'll call that redecorating, not working."

Eye twitch. evil elves...and a hand rested on malvolence.
why not go for the drow, get adamantium. it's not as shiny, but it's just as sturdy, if nto moreso. and it makes edges that mithril can't. great for weapons.
"I'm glad. I don't think you want to play with all the magic traps and new pets."
A small grin, though about the cinnamon. that woudl be great. crossplanar trade for a supply of bribery for piper and probably good money down here. since they needed more of the new surrency as opposed to gold.
Onyx nodded lightly.
"Go ask..I'm going to look outside for her too. or see if I can pick up a scent if nothing else, and you come find me if they know anything?"

Moonstone nodded. "Sure I will." With nothing better to do, looking for a kid in this huge palce didn't sound like all that bad of a way to waist time. He left, sniffed out the other four people he needed to talk to.
Not wanting to interupt, because it sounded a bit like business, Moon came up to the gruop and stood slightly behind Piper, flicking his tail at her ankle to let her know he was there. New pets....magic traps...cinnimon....yup, buisness. Her kept a low purr in the back of his throat.

Kieran looked right at Malik nodded, chuckled, then looked to Piepr. "He's talking business in my head..." Above getting Malik in trouble? Hell no, that was equally as fun as messing with his daughter. Though he had to admit, Malik had quite the idea...but the Andallian Drow...well that was a whole other story... "Though a good idea...Drow don't trade well...I could always try to link through the Peninsula...but I doubt I would get good results."
A slap of the hand that he had to Malvolence. "That goes too..." Yes, the sword went too...and she would take it from him if he didn't get rid of it himself. That fell under stress category...it made him all tense and angry. Then a look at Kieran. "And you Don't encourage him. But no, I wouldn't care for that...besides, I have a few things of my own to do while you do that." Piper then looked down at her ankle at the furry flick and then her ears registerd purirng. Turning slightly a hand was put to Moon's head, scratching between hsi ears. "Well hello to you too Moon, feeling better?"

Hey now, he hadn't expected a pet. And it still felt good....not such a bad thing at all. He smiled, and his purring deepened a bit. "I've been better, but I'm not too bad either." His tail swayed back and forth.
"I'm looking for Bode. Onyx wants to show her Ironsides, but we haven't been able to find her. Have you," he looked around to included everybody, "any of you, seen her? Onyx is starting to get worried, adn living with a worried Onyx is not very fun." Mostly because he made Moon worry too, or made him help until the worry was gone, kinda like now.

Onyx was outside, and as fate woudl have it, had run into Simon as well who was also looking for his daughter.
"She's not with you? we thought she'd be with you."
"No, and that's not being a very good guardian to not know where your charge is."
"I wasn't here, I was in deepwater getting Ironsides back."
"Ironsides?"
"Lizard mount we thought we lost."
"Oh. I remember now. Yes that woudl perk her up, but no, I haven't seen here either recently. I thougth hse was with you or in teh kitchen."
"She was, we found flour everywhere. but no Bode."
"Alright then. You check around here, I'll look deeper in teh forests for her."
Malik smirked lightly at Kieran. damn it. and then unstrapped Malvolence nad handed it to Piper, with some hesitation. addictive blade that it was, and lord knows piper might not want to give it back.
"Was only trying to help."

Aw, he was reacting much better to this petting thing. "Well that's good...ups and downs are both needed for a nice balance." More petting, fingers of that one hand scratching at his ear now. "Bode? I haven't seen her...then again me and Malik have been...indisposed and have missed a bit lately. Father?" Her attention slipped back to Malik, taking the blade with an all too sweet smile. "Thank you A'mael and mean well you may...but you're grounded." And he got a sweet little kiss to go with that smile from her.
"Bode...last I saw her she was wreaking havoc in the kitchen and getting some servants all worried like before she headed outside I believe. Went outside I think...sorry I wasn't really paying attention."

O'Konner spoke with his dughter, who seemed both pleased and highly annoyed that she was being elft at this place. She was convicned that she could take care of herself, whiel O'Konner was convinced Malik was up to no good. He had no choice, however. He would not risk bringing kat into a place like Lostagrace. He had left Kat in one of her angry huffs, which he would have rather not done, but his attention was called elsewhere.
Deep Water was not the only place that needed food. O'Konner also delivered to Lostagrace. Which was where he was now, trying to remeber what crumbling building he was supposed to enter to see the ehad of such things...if you could call it a head. Step into the wrong place would get a knife in his chest, or other painful areas. He took of his hat and ran a hand along his brow. Maybe he was supposed to be in the market palce, he couldn't remeber.
Aella left Meilikki outside to her peace and found her way inside the keep. She was exaughsted, she was confused, and she was shaking. She set her staff agiinst a wall, glad to be rid of it's pressing influence. She could fight it pretty good most of the time, but right now she was vulnerable to it. She decided to forget about the damn thing for a little bit. She loked to the fire, where her chilli wsa being kept warm, and while she knew it would taste good she couldn't broing herself to eat it. Her appatite was gone. She sighed, rubbed a hand down her arm. Maybe she'd just go to bed, and forget about everything.

Lord Diamond watched his crew work away at the trees, the lumber the most valuable part of Lostagrace besides the... Ok, it was practicially the only thing worth anything in Lostagrace.
He had the duty of gathering the material for the construction of Jiscal's new fleet of ships, but work was going slow. There were no recruits to draft from the city, and very few honest people about in general. Most lived for the moment, the two most prospereous businesses were distillation and squating. Diamond had done a fair share of the later, due to the lack of resonably priced inns in the city. The population seemed rather vacant, which was practical due to the lack of cohession between most of the civilians. The city seemd to divid itself into gangs and small enclaves of self suficent and self important groups, as was in all cities that fell to this level. The loal leadership was mostly giving to he who carried the biggest sword...
The biggest sword...
Diamond gathered together a small guard, and marched towards the town to find out who exactly had the biggest sword in the town. If he could find out who that was, perhaps he could arrange to borrow a garrison from Deep Water to restore some order to the city, which would enable him to gather the necessary wood he required to return back to Deep Water, where his unrequented love for a certain Queen.
Oh Zeranda... How dothe her hair shine in the darkest of nights... How her scent charms the nose, and her touch calms the spirit, and how moments when they... They...
Wait a moment... What did they do together. Diamond was usually so dobbed up that he never really knew what was happening when he was with her.
He shruggeed. He could always assume that he had really close relationships with her.

Moonstoen frowned a bit. Child no where to be found, no oens' seen her, or are sure they'de seen her. Okay....maybe she was just playing a game? hiding from the rest of the fortress? It was possible. He tildted his head a bit to get a better angle on the petting.
"It's not like her to go without company for so long...."
"I saw her outside." Raziel spoke, having found something he could actually speak about. "Just after Keiran left the dinningroom. I looked outside, she was there playing, I followed Keiran. It wasn't very long ago."
O'Konner frowned. Hadn't there been a substantialy larger area of trees the last time he was here? One would have thought with such valuable timber Lostagrace would have been a bit more prosperous. He took a cigarette from a tin in his pocket and stuck it between his lips. He wouldn't light it just yet though. He found his way to the edge of the forest, which was further outside the town then it used to be, new stumps marking the recent activity of loggers. He stood and watched for a moment. Not Lostagrace workers, people from Deep Water. How could they afford to get the lumber?
