After reading all this, SoulSilver will perhaps be the last game I buy from these ******** until they get their act together, which at this rate, will happen when pigs sprout wings and take to the skies.

The gamestop in the city next to me is okay, but the pepole that work there are all my friends and I don't know how they act to other people. I still can't support the company though.

Meta_Fish And later that day we went to another one out there and as I was looking at Wii games a weird, creepy guy picked up Red Steel and asked the guy behind the counter what kind of game it was, referring to genre. The guy behind the counter immediately said that it was a bad game and just started to tear it down. Creepy guy asked if it was a slasher (which, I don't even know what that would mean) or what, and the guy just kept saying that it was bad. So I stepped up and said that it was a first person shooter with sword fighting elements inbetween. It came out at Wii's launch and didn't do well in reviews because people built it up to be something it wasn't, as they did the Wii Remote, but it was still a fun game. Then I turned and looked at the worker and he said "Well that was just what I had read. That it was bad." And he looked like a f*****t. I pretty much got that from these two kids in my class when I bought Soul Calibur Legends. I asked them if they even played it, and all they said was, and I quote, "No, but we saw screen shots of it on the internet." You know what? I found it fun, and pleasingly different from the main series. I finished the game, and kept it, until a couple months ago when I traded it, and two others, to get L4D2 free.
Wish I could visually logic on whether or not a game will suck. :/

Ugh, I hate it when opinion's are spewed out of people's face-mouth holes. When it comes to video games, YOUR opinion on it is all that matters. Of course information (unbiased, please) is a good thing.

I mean, SCL wasn't the best game, but I mean, damn, it sure killed time, and was fun in its own right. I still want to play the first Red Steel. :/ Reviews don't get to me.
Also the whole console thing. I think it's retarded to compare the Wii and the 360/PS3 since they aren't even on the same level.

Maybe you should wait for Red Steel 2, though, because that comes out soon!

I haven't played much of SCL because I got caught up in other games.
But what I did play of it was surpisingly entertaining.

I was never especially interested in SCL. Smash Bros. aside, I've never really been all that interested in fighting games.
Also, reviews and opinions can give you an idea of how you'll feel about something. A few years ago, I had a friend whose opinion on entertainment was pretty much opposite mine, so mentioning a title and him yelling about how it's horrible was a pretty good indicator that I should buy it. I found a bunch of my favorite anime that way. XD Also, 'I liked X but hated Y' can be helpful. Maybe X doesn't appeal to me, or Y is something that I really love.
General 'it's amazing/it sucks' is extremely unhelpful, though. Tell me why it's so great/horrible.
