Slayers is a fantasy-type anime, centered around a sorceress named Lina Inverse, her friends, and their crazy adventures. From what I've seen, it's a good all-around show. There's an episode...where two of the characters do this overly cute little song, thinking that it will activate some spell that will help them...do some good.
Yeah, cute and funny. And there are really good angsty parts. And really good romantic scenes as well. As I said in the character post...two people kiss at one point. And then they don't remember.

GetsurinKoneko You know what would be easier? How about I give you little personality snippets on the characters I'm looking for, and THEN this would be easier. Yeah... Lina Inverse: The main heroine of the series, and one of the strongest sorceresses in the Slayers world. Though she tries her best to fight for the good ideals, her motivations usually involve wealth and riches. She is strong-willed and loyal to her friends and cause, and likes to get things done quickly. She also has a big stomach. mrgreen Gourry Gabriev: A "knight-in-shining-armor" type, who joins Lina as a protector (and, it seems, a love interest - they kiss at one point). He is determined to protect Lina, even after seeing her defeat many strong enemies. He wields the Sword of Light, apparently the most powerful sword known to the people of the Slayers world. Though, he is a little aloof...okay, a bit of an idiot. Zelgadiss Graywords: A chimera - 1/3 golem, 1/3 demon, 1/3 human - who starts out as Lina's enemy because she takes something that he planned to use to...well...make himself un-chimera. Though...he becomes their friend by the end of the first season. He is also a swordsman, but is also a pretty good spellcaster, specializing in Spirit Magic. He is a very quiet and precise person, and is uneasy about romance. ...Let's start there! I don't know, but many of these might need a sexchange. 1) Lina would probably be Chewy, IMO. mostly good, but is stuck following han, who wants money... mostly. Due to the life-debt, he is forced to be loyal to han, but its also because they're pals. 2) Gourry would be Luke, IMO, through and through. Down to the idiot part as well. I mean, he doesn't listen to the wisest jedi ever and runs off to fight darth vader! Well, I consider it stupid as well, but its probably more rash than idiocy... 3) Zeldagiss would more likely be han for the good side. Though to fit the profile, I'd put in Vader. If nothing else, a comic relief Vader would be sweet. Uneasy at romance due to his first wife dying... heh. Fits the rest as well..

I did have Gourry as Luke. I was thinking of using Anakin as Zelgadiss...but Anakin IS Vader, so I guess we agree on that. Ameria (a princess who is justice-crazy and loves adventure and surprise) is portrayed by Padme. And that really works, because Ameria and Zelgadiss have a sorta-relationship in the anime, and Padme and Anakin...yeah. Then...the rougish demon Xelloss would be Han Solo, and dragon-maiden Filia would be Leia. (The relationship there has parallels as well. At first, they argue a lot, but then realize they have feelings...or come pretty close.) The two other main characters, Sylphiel (a sorceress and noble who worships Gourry and probably has the best manners out of everyone) and Lina (I told you about her), do not have choices yet. But I am NOT casting Chewie as Lina. I'm sorry, but no. I kinda wanna stick with humans for the main parts.

I said IMO. In my opinion. And plus, he did fit the profile well enough. If nothing else, cast Lando instead of chewy.
As for Sylphiel, pick C-3P0. Sure, he's a robot, but he's close enough.
