You see that is the misconception with everyone. 250k-500k is considered, by the government, the middle class (The government chooses what is middle class cuz that's how they distribute taxes and benefits. And who gets more Benefits? The middle class of course.). Everyone below that line is poor. I believe it was the clinton and obama administrations that both considered that to be the middle class. So 65k-100k is poor buddy. Do your research first. It's hard to believe but almost everyone is poor. And Lower upperclass class is 510k-1mil. The wonders of a sociology and economic classes in college. Bottles the mind and opens up your mind. By the way, by the social standards of this society, you can only be born into the Elite class. So for example, even though Opra is rich, she is considered lower upper class. Who ever in her family (Grandniece or Grandnephew) gets the inheritance is born into the elite class. So basically you, me, and everyone else has been lying to themselves saying they are middle class. 65k-100k is not enough to support a family of four or five despite what you think.

If they try now it's going to be catastrophic. Almost all of the states are bankrupt and have no more money. They are trying to cut down on spending but there really is no way they can actually figure out how to fix everything without the government collapsing.
