[Kegan] Nomega [Kegan] Nomega Mind = Blown Calculators round Not the point. You probably already know that with repeating decimals you can put the repeating number over 9 to make them a fraction. Using that rule, .9 repeating in fraction form would be 9/9, or 1. If you need to limit the significant figures, as is generally asked of you in more advanced maths, the least accurate number has only one figure. Even if it had only one less than the calculator limit, the 9s would round upward from there, giving you a 1.00... You're rounding again. xD No rounding. This has nothing to do with rounding. I wasn't just typing s**t in my calculator and it rounded .9 repeating to 1. There's a Wikipedia article on this somewhere. It's been debated for a long long time, there's still no real answer to whether it's legit or not.

1/9 isn't exactly equal to .111... anywho. It's equal to 1/9. It's like trying to take radicals out of their root sign, it's not gonna produce the exact number. It means that it's not true.

.98 = 1 because if somebody cut a slice of pizza down 2 % you wouldn't even ******** notice. Not applicable. Dumb.

I won't pretend to know a lot about this stuff, so I'm not sure. If anyone cares enough http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Repeating_decimals@Owwin: Well, s**t.

Owwin .98 = 1 because if somebody cut a slice of pizza down 2 % you wouldn't even ******** notice. Not applicable. Dumb. Just because it's not applicable doesn't mean it's not awesome. I mean, does Gordon the Pringles Giraffe serve a purpose?
Also .98 = 1 in the pizza analogy because chances are you lose about 2% on the pizza roller while you're cutting it up.

******** MATH AND MATHS AND WHATEVER YOU WANNA CALL IT! DNA is the universal language not math. Sure you get mad if somebody jips you a dollar when they screw it up, but you would be much more mad if you had an insertion or deletion in your DNA that gave you cancer.
