Maddy tossed the Pokéball and it hit the ground, popping open to reveal a bright burst of light and Maddy's ghostly companion, Spooky. Spooky started the battle with Dark Pulse. Skitty flinched from the attack, leaving Spooky to zap Skitty with a furious Thunderbolt. Skitty shook off the attack. Its body glowed with electric energy as it charged its attack, and it shot a beam of electrical pulses at Spooky. Spooky countered with Giga Drain, draining some of Skitty's life and restoring his own. Maddy threw an Aqua Ball at Skitty, and the cute little Pokémon was absorbed into the depths of the little mechanism.
Shake...
Shake...
Shake...
... Ding!
Skitty was caught! Maddy walked back to the group. It was time to begin the journey up the mountain.

"Hey, good battles! ^^" Sammy said, reffering to Reaper and Maddys' battles. Sammy tossed the pokeball that contained her new pokemon up in the air, then caught it again.

"Thanks you too." *calls out his newly caught Zangoose* "Come on out Zangoose." *zangoose appeared and began to claw reaper with his claws*
"OK OK zangoose return. Apparently it isn't to happy to have been caught."

Sammy chuckled a bit at Reaper, then followed everyone up the mountain. "So, uh, can someone fill me in? Where are we going?" Sammy asked, oblivious to everything as usual.

Althought it wasn't very distinct, there was a rock ledge that jutted out from the side of the mountain and it seemed to creep slowly up the face of the mountain and disappear around on the other side. They travelled up this ledge, it didn't seem that safe, the sound of cracking and falling rock accompanied each of their steps.
"I'd be careful and stay as far away from the edge as possible. We don't need anyone falling, but just in case..." Maddy tossed a Pokéball out and Star burst out of it. The great bird Pokémon took off into the skies, flying next to the group, ready to catch anyone who may lose their footing. Maddy kept her eyes on the runic carvings etched in a line along the mountain, now they were the only indication of where they should go. "By the way, we are searching for some sort of entrance to the ruins that Ike says are concealed within this mountain. We just need to find the entrance, so if you see any sort of sign, tell me. I don't want to go too far up, this seems a bit dangerous."

Sammy stayed as close as possible to the side of the cliff, purposefully avoiding the ledge that led downwards. Oh, how it would pay to not be afraid of heights at this moment. "O-okey-dok-key..." Sammy said, looking for the entrance so they could make their decent as soon as possible.

The wind began to pick up and as they climbed further and further up, the ledge got narrower and narrower. Soon enough, the group was climbing up sideways with their stomach pressed flat against the side of the mountain, careful not to slip and fall. Star flew closer, keeping a close eye on them.
"Dang... I'm not liking this part that much. The wind isn't helping much either." Maddy continued to keep her eyes on the runic carvings, until one letter stood out at her. It was elegantly shaped, and had a square etched around it, as if it could be pushed in. On an impulse, Maddy pressed her hand against the carving, and it sunk a few inches into the mountain and the rock to the left of her slid aside to reveal an opening in the mountain face. "We found it!" She hurried into the opening, happy to get off the ledge. She summoned Rai to her side. "Rai, light this place up for us." A blinding flash escaped Rai's cheeks and lit up the cave. It was a narrow tunnel that seemed to bury deep into the mountain. "Well, I guess this ends our exploration. We should go back to HQ and tell Ike of our findings when he gets back."

"Yay!" Sammy said, not really rejoicing about finding the cave-like place, but more of for the chance to get off of that stinkin' mountain.

Sammy, making sure not to put any pressure on her egg, released Vixen, hopped on, and began to fly to the nearest teleporter, knowing that it would only take a minute or so.

Proud of herself, Maddy snapped her fingers and in a bright flash of purple light, she appeared back at HQ. "Well today was fun." Sitting down on the ceiling, she jumped slightly as one of her Pokéballs burst open and a small pink blur was spotted shooting towards the ground. Maddy reached out and grabbed Skitty and using her powers, reversed the pull of gravity on the little Pokémon so it could sit next to her. The little creature dove into its trainer's arms, mewly cutely. "Wow! It's so cute!!"
