Checking to make sure all her Pokémon were fully healed, Maddy left HQ. She waited outside for the others, enjoying the fresh air. "It's sooo nice out. Anyways... he said to walk through the grasslands... and they are..." She looked around, and quickly spotted the grasslands off in the distance. "... that way!"

Maddy looked over as Reaper approached her. "Let's wait a few minutes for Cody, and if he doesn't show we'll go ahead and assume he'll catch up later."

"Ok, let's go! I'm sure if anyone else appears they'll catch up easy." Maddy walked off, excited to finally get out and explore.
It didn't take long for them to reach the grasslands. Soon enough, they were standing along the edge of a vast plain of waist-high grass, that seemed to stretch on forever past the horizon. The blissful cries of Pokémon could be heard all around, hidden among the lush grass. Maddy turned to Reaper. "Keep an eye out for any of the tall stones Ike mentioned, they'll guide us safely across this plain to our destination, as I'm sure that it would be easy to get lost in such an open and seemingly endless area."

Cody started looking immediately. As the group kept walking Cody ran into one. "Found one!" Cody said as he held his nose.

"Grovyle, use Quick Attack to see how far they stretch." Cody said as Grovyle took off. He returned quickly and tried to explain that they didn't go very far and the mountain range starts at the bottom of the hill in the distance.

Maddy smiled, this was easier than she thought. "In that case, let's stay close to the rocks. Oh yeah, chances are we'll encounter some Pokémon so feel free to battle one I guess. Then again, that's the point of a training RP. Not sure if you're allowed to catch them though... Guess it wouldn't hurt... Meh, oh well!" She shrugged, and began the journey across the plain. She examined each rock she passed, intrigued by the runic letterings that were etched all over them.
