I always just say happy holidays to people even though I celebrate christmas the thing is on Gaia if you think about it the only holiday that the stupid card companies got to and made unreligous was christmas. Now adays people just celebrate Santa Clause and gift giving it's not really so much a religous thing unless you're celebrating it as the birth of Jesus Christ like my family does. I understand why you're upset though I'm just saying; here on gaia it's not a religous thing it's just, Santa an old fat guy in red giving out gifts.

Ryuka Navali That is the reason I don't like xmas too. They have pretty much comercialized every holliday on the freakin planet!!! stare nuh uh! i know one. they havent commercialized Guy fawkes day. Guy fawkes was supposed to be the one man who intended to blow up parliament in britain. tis known as the gunpowder treason of 1605. November 5th marks the anniversary of the Gunpowder Plot, a conspiracy to blow up the English Parliament and King James I in 1605, the day set for the king to open Parliament. The anniversary was named after Guy Fawkes, the most famous of the conspirators.

still; can you really say Santa Clause is religous? Yeah it's not jewish but it's not really catholic (trust me; it really isn't even if people say it is) it's not for people who celebrate Kwanza or anyother holiday either. I'm just saying; Santa isn't a religous thing it really isn't at all if anything; the Atheists were the ones who came up with it trying to do a spin off of christmas so they could get gifts the catholics just took it because it helped get the kids into it but whatever I support your revolt of christmas if that's what you want go for it.

you are way wrong about the atheist thing. there really was a guy named St. Nick who went around giving out presents. And Saint is very Christian therefore, the Santa Clause we have all come to know was originally a Christian dude going around giving out gifts to kids.
Therefore it IS religious.
