Herryk was standing in the same place he had been when Freya had flitted off to visit with her sister. He shot a careless gaze in the direction she'd come from before peering down at her.
"Herryk will protect Freya," he grunted before turning his attention back to the portal. He wanted to get this disaster into gear.

“ As I do, friend.” Hel agreed, giving the Baku a small grin. The valkyrie’s attitude seemed…dampened, compared to what it usually was, and that of course, had everything to do with her sister and Mot. She wasn’t going to let that stop her from wishing a friend well though. “ Of course I’ll be up for it!” Hel replied. “ I said I would help you train, so I will.” The reaper gave a firm nod of her head, and blinked when the Baku hugged her, reaching out to return the gesture, squeezing the ghoul to her for a moment before releasing her. “ I do too.” She gave a half hearted chuckle, and reached out, brushing her thumb teasingly against Xiu’s nose. “ I’m sure you’ll do well too. You’re a very dedicated and hard working ghoul. Your group is very lucky to have you.” Also, Freya should enjoy her time…Hel would be after her soon enough, just not right now.

Team NinjaAt Vaith's slip up with the whole reaper versus months and ghosts thing Junko blinked and looked his way, tilting her head to one side. Huh? Was something wrong? She giggled, giving him an assuring smile. "It's okay, Vaith. We understand. I'm the only monster here." She pouted up at Seiji like this was his fault, leaning more heavily against him with a childish whine. In truth she didn't really care. She was with a group she liked, a group of new ghouls to get to know...even if she was starting to wonder if maybe she should have redesigned her own outfit to be more like theirs. She had made all of them as her own but Mai had had so many requests, and Junko always aimed to please... Bah! Boils! They were rejecting the pills! Oh well, Aurian was right. They would share. By then she had finally heard Mai greet them as she arrived. Oh good! Better late than never. "Hey Mai! I was starting to worry you would miss the chance to get here or something!" Junko laughed, shaking her head at the ghost ghoul's question. She hadn't missed much in fact Seiji had explained exactly what she had missed. Oh! Right! The pumpkin pill! Junko held her hand out for Mai to take her share of the 'loot', slipping her own into her bag of supplies now that the pills had been divvied out properly. "Seiji figured it'd be best if we each held onto one, since we only get three for the entire team. Aurian and I are still willing to give ours up though if someone else needs one." And there was no changing their minds. Aurian was right. This was definitely more organized. Junko hitched her bag up on her shoulder and frowned toward Red, her voice low. "Red made it sound like we're doing this...because of the fiasco of the last trip. She doesn't want that to ever happen again. I compleeeeeetely agree." Junko sighed. "This is my third trip with the school now. And...well..my second time in the human world." Junko averted her gaze from Seiji. It'd been before she met him and well...she'd never told him about it. Why should she have to? It wasn't like there was anything that could be done about it and they had to go to the human world eventually anyway. She just somehow felt guilty only mentioning it now. Junko heard a laugh then. A laugh that made her eyes widen and her hair puff up around her head much like an angered cat. That voice. That laughter. Sarias. Her eyes narrowed as she glared darkly Sarias' way, even growling a little...or was that The Mistress? It may have been both of them. She was so glad these weren't assigned groups; heads would roll if she was stuck with Sarias. Luckily Lizzy calling out to her and waving to her seemed to instantly calm her, her hair relaxing and a bright smile replacing the glare as she waved to her friend again. "Thank you! You and your team look adorable! I love your uniforms!" She let go of Seiji to return the hug, swaying with her friend until she let her go. "I'll be careful. I promise. You be careful too, okay?"Her attention was shifted away from Lizzy at a movement in the corner of her eye. Vaith had a weird handshake. Wait... "Was that...even a real handshake?"

Team ARPK!”I promise! And maybe when we get back, we can go on that double date we talked about~” She giggled, glancing at Seiji before giving him a grin and a tip of her head as greeting. Seeing him there with Junko made her smile, although a small, small part of her felt rather... Sad that Mac was not here with her. Just a small part though; she was actually feeling rather relieved that he would not have to go through... Whatever they were about to go through.
Her smile only faltered for that millisecond, however, as she swayed side to side with Junko. She turned just to see the tail end of Vaith's handshake with Seiji, prompting an eyebrow raise from the demoness, ”That's... Interesting...” She paused, pulling herself from Junko to look at the ghoul before offering out a hand.
Handshakes with demons were iffy due to many misconceptions, but this was Junko. She trusted her, right?
”Let's do that... That handshake thing,” She nodded, giggling as she winked, ”It looks fun!”
And that was how Junko and Lizzy ruined the bro-shake forever, for bros everywhere. Somewhere, in school, Charlie had started to cry on his face-palming Mac-bro.

"Confirmed." Aisa replied to Red, her chin lifting in a nod that couldn't restrain it's little note of impatience, a tinge of recklessness ending the tone.
The horsemen would be separated? With the population being so dreadfully high, Aisa couldn't say she wasn't predicting it. The human world was dotted so brightly with sunlight and stars, the brightly lit view giving the staff with a taller vantage point the ability to oversee all the students. She didn't care for some of their overly dressed attire. Didn't they know less was best? The constant noise was annoying-- Aisa's mind allowed her consciousness to slip back into the haze, recounting the earlier events of the day. Speaking of attire .. Well, it seemed that the heirs weren't especially prone to obedience when it gave to full-body searched. Aisa had nearly given a gnome some full body quality time with her scythe. The heirs had been to the human world countless times-- What had been the point of checking them over?
Aisa's attention was divided neatly for once .. At times her violet iris landed on the heirs littered around her and sometimes they wandered to Red's companions. Arms crossed, Aisa let her head lean back, her neck craning directly backwards to stare at the pumpkin patch that had garnered Cymby's excitement like so.
Pumpkins. Nothing new. Yet, pumpkins always had this quaint feel.
"I think I'll name one Jack. Connie, Eris, Cymby, don't you think it looks like a Jack?"

Israfel made a small peep as livi touched him, the appearance unexpected from behind. “Oh. Now I know you!” He smiled. “I think we might have had a class together once. Or twice.” His head tilted to the side as their little group formed. The green seemed familiar, but then, a lot of students were green. Not the most uncommon thing to see. No, sadly for Israfel’s poor group would filter into his spacey little brain and run right on out. He was just sadly, that forgetful, (just not of the traumatic events. Oh woe to his little siren heart). “Ah pumpkin pills!” Huzzah, possible life savers. But with only three…”Hrmm.” Ear wings felt back as the monster’s eyes narrowed in thought. “Well.” Hands on his hip Israfel smiled. “Not me. I might forget I have them.” Which was true. “Plus I’m pretty good at not dying. Just injuries, not death.”A shrugged as he lifted up his bad. Salt water, fresh water, some soap, a hair brush, a sewing kit, and an empty jar. It had been filled with spookies, but they had vanished the other night. He might have sleep eaten them. That or Riley snuck into his room and took them while he was asleep. While she probably wouldn’t, he couldn’t be sure. Riley or her pet Cuthulu. Probably Cuthulu. The culprit behind the mystery of the stolen spookies could be solved when he got back, For now, they had a field trip to survive. “I say one each, might be easier that way. And then nobody can hog them all anyway. “ Smiling at the three he was honestly trying his best to not do anything that might get him killed later. Like piss off his group members. word: 684

Marzena had decided, for once, to participate in a school activity. Besides, going on a field trip didn't sound like an utterly horrible idea. They weren't allowed to bring along minipets either, so at least she had a reason to abandon that annoying perma Scareon that liked to follow her around.
But when she stepped out the portal and surveyed her surroundings, Marzena immediately froze. The Human World. "Oh, for the love of Poseidon..." She muttered under her breath, crossing her arms over her chest with a scowl. Why had she even signed up for this again? While her team mates seemed to be pretty alright; as Marzena was inclined to trust water creatures easier than she did most people, their uniform consisted of shorts.
Shorts.
Despite having her seal skin was wrapped right around her waist, there was still pretty much quite a big of leg skin showing. And there was nothing she could do about it.
"I'll get the pills." She muttered, starting forward to where the cloaked figure was. She returned soon enough and held out an open palm where the pills lay. "Who wants to hold on to this?"

It was good to see that things had settled down. At least no one bore a super unhappy face. Except Riyo. She looked like someone had spit in her drink. Though admittedly the feline had that look fairly often. Mitsu just assumed it was like Shun's intense face. Like a wall you had to get passed.
"How are things?" Mitsu asked as she returned directing the question to no one in particular. She was curious though on how much longer they would be waiting outside. Not that she was anxious to get inside but in a way she wanted it to be over.

Mai did her best to listen attentively as the other students quickly caught her up. Thankfully it seemed that her little detour hadn't caused her to miss out on a whole lot. "I'm glad I didn't miss the departure," she remarked, her eyebrows furrowing at the thought.
When Junko offered the pumpkin pill to her, Mai took it carefully. "I'll make sure to keep it safe for when any of us is in need of it," the ghost said, offering a serious nod. Her expression unreadable, she eyed the tiny-yet-oh-so-important sphere for several moments as she wondered just how this whole trip was going to play out. What was going to happen to cause them to need these things anyway? She automatically moved to stuff the pill into her cleavage for safe keeping after she was done examining it. Thankfully, her better judgement caught up with her hand before certain faux paus were made. The ghost was still learning the finer points of inappropriate vs. appropriate behavior, but she was pretty sure that would have been most inappropriate. She instead placed the pill inside the small, skull-shaped case at her waist and patted it gently.
"I've... never been on a school trip," Mai said, tilting her head slightly. "They keep happening while I'm asleep." A slight frown pulled at one side of her mouth as if she thought the faculty were purposefully scheduling the outings during her naps just to thwart the ghoul. But she was going on one now, and she was really very excited. Especially so since now she would have an opportunity to meet some new people. She couldn't help but feel a bit jealous of the relationships she saw forming all about her, and she was determined to find herself some close friends to pal around with too.
Speaking of new pals, Mai couldn't help but feel immensely satisfied as Aurian returned her friendly shoulder nudges. The two didn't really know each other all that well yet, but she found the ghoul's company to be very agreeable. Actually, she found all the students in her group agreeable. On that thought, Mai tried to inch herself close to Vaith and Aurian simultaneously without being too intrusive. She was pretty sure the reaper boy wouldn't be comfortable if she pounced on him like some kind of hunting cat, so she settled for standing as close to him as she could without actually touching him and offering him a sleepy smile and a simple "Heeey, Vaith." Baby steps! In the mean time, she leaned happily on Aurian, who seemed more receptive to her warmth mongering.
"Do you think we'll actually need these," she wondered aloud, waving her hand at the skull case and the enclosed pumpkin pill. But even as the words left her mouth, Mai felt she already knew the answer. A lot of the students seemed to be tense or fidgety. Stuff always had a way of turning nasty after all. That's just the way it was.

"Hn."
When Invictus had to coerce the other horsemen into assisting Red, by far the one who had required the most coercement had been Eris. And by coercement, that mostly meant putting out the tiny random fires she had continuously been lighting she she had stomped around their lustrously lit hideaway. The Heir of War had not appreciated the boogeyman's response to her question. Despite the fact that she, of all of them, should have, considering her own fiery temper, she had found Red's outburst to have been completely unwarranted, and quite out nowhere. She had not at all even eluded to the fact that she thought the woman hadn't lost things to the hunters as well-- she had merely called into question why they should care, if Red herself was going to be so flippant about it. In fact, out of her whole rant, she had never even answered the question. And that question had not gone away just because she had stormed out of the room. So it was with great reluctance that the horsewoman had followed her fellow Heirs into the human realm, the last one to step through the portal and into the disgustingly clean air.
It was familiar, in a nostalgic kind of way. The brilliant reds and oranges, fading into deeper purples and blues of the sunset were like nothing they'd experienced in either Halloweentown or their dreary island prison. The grass, too, was more lush, the green of the leaves on the forest trees far more prominent than the barren ones in Amityville -- and if there were any leaves, they were always hardly green at all, far more black and foreboding than that of the human realm. Flicking her eyes to the forest floor, Eris took a slightly longer stride than usual as she followed the others towards the rickety-looking house, making sure to stomp on a little wildflower to pick up a spikey little weed nearby.
"If you name it Jack, you'll have to crush it beneath your heel~" she coo'd a little distractedly as she caught up to the Heir of Death, reaching up to tuck the weed into one of her ponytails, "Here Ai, isn't it pretty?"
Eris went respectfully quiet as Invictus spoke up to address Red for all of them, looking a little sulky but not disagreeing with what he had to say. In fact, it wasn't until Red herself spoke that she a flash of annoyance touched her eyes, and she flicked her gaze to Conquest, resting a hand gently on his shoulder to lean down a bit, her lips near his ear.
"We agreed to assist her, we did not agree we'd split up," Eris hissed, not caring if anyone else heard, but certainly making the effort to not stir up trouble by spitting her response to the boogeyman herself.

The pinky swear completed, Mot shoved his hands into his pockets, puffing his cheeks slightly and staring off into the woods. Perhaps the new scents, sounds and atmosphere would prove to distract him from his situation. So then, this was the human world? The reaper's eyes looked up enough to catch the red sky. Everything was so strange. So different. Things didn't feel right. Not at all.
Mot was taken from his somber thoughts when he heard Mitsu's voice. He turned to look at the ghoul the voice had come from, chuckling lightly. "Uh, good I suppose? The human world sure is strange, hm?"

Oh yes! Junko grinned and nodded up at Seiji. She hadn't told him about the plans for a double date yet. Oops! Uh...surpriiiiiise! "Yeah! It'll be fun!" What would they do? She had no idea. All of her dates with Seiji had been one-couple-friendly. What did two couples do when they were out together? Hm! They'd have to find out! Lizzy was right. Whatever Seiji and Vaith had just done it sure was interesting. It looked fun, even! Could they do that too? As Lizzy let go of Junko and offered her hand Junko thought nothing of it. They weren't making any kind of deal and Lizzy hardly seemed the type to trick her into a marking! She trusted her! Grinning, the ghoul nodded. "Okay!"And then they did it. And it was fun. Mai's question got her attention while she was 'broshaking' with Lizzy, humming curiously and shrugging. "Can't say for sure. Maybe? Maybe not? I needed to use one when we went to Christmas Town but that was toward the end of that whole trip. And this is just a training ground...how bad could it be?"

THE HORSEMEN"We will wait until that time, then." Invictus answered to Red, still as even tempered as he always was - perhaps only on the surface. It was possible he was the most insane of them all. If Red wouldn't talk in front of the students, then clearly it would be fun for the Horsemen.
It was likely that it had only been at Conquest's request that the four had made a presence as was. However, he could already tell there would be concern when the four were told they would be broken up. Naturally, it seemed Eris was the first one to speak up about it, looking over his shoulder to War and patting his hand on top of her's gently. He spoke just as quietly; "Let us wait and see what task will be asked of us, then we can see what compromise we can make about that." Invictus knew he'd have to play his cards carefully with Eris and her own distaste about the matter if only to keep her from possibly burning down everything in response. There was a moment where he grinned - a grin that was laced with hints of that insanity. Invictus never grinned so sadistically in the presence of others.He then pressed his lips to War's ear, whispering so only she could hear;
"Perhaps there will be some humans you can destroy, mm?"
Though it seemed that Cymbeline was having quite a joyous moment of her own, watching Famine with quite the amusement - less obvious than that grin of his - when she asked about blighting a patch of pumpkins. He looked at it with a sort of evaluation, then back to the most obviously insanity ridden of their numbers. Yet she still remained as delightful as she ever was, that lovely...crazy...horsewoman.
"That may be a pleasant surprise to whomever cares over it. If you must, be thorough about it." he said, motioning with one hand as though somehow that gesture removed the invisible velvet rope around the patch to allow someone to go play in it. Which in this case, was Cymbeline...and possibly Aisa and Eris if they so wished to have a chance to wreck havoc. Although it did seem as though Aisa had at least taken enough fondness over one of the pumpkins to give it a name.
That meant it would likely have the most gruesome of ends when Death lost interest in it.
"A Jack, mm? Perhaps." he agreed, not really the kind to be naming much of anything. Even the pets he kept were..sparingly titled with things such as numbers and letters to distinguish them. Though he had run out of both quite quickly with how large the herd of equines had grown over a short period of time. Quite the collection.

Team: Scarlet SabbathRoch looked blankly at the big guy, wondering what in the hell a boat would be doing in a haunted house, then grinned. "Big man, you will be the FIRST we'll send in if there's a boat, I swear," he said. But he felt guilty, he admitted as he turned and looked around them. There were boogeys here, and the boogeys were seeing him talk to the group, which made them accomplices, right? He shoved his hands into his pockets and looked at the others. "Jack, I'm sorry about this, guys," he said quietly. "If they ask you any questions about stuff you've done with me, tell them we're just schoolmates, alright? It's true enough. Say, hell, I don't know, you let me join the team so you can push me forward if someone's trying to kill you," he decided with a grin. He glanced at the other students, his eyes lingering on a few of them, then looking away. It would probably be best if he pretended he didn't know them. They would definitely be better off without having ties to him. That was true all the time, though, wasn't it? But... how the jack had he gotten into this school if they knew about his juvie record? Man this place confused him.

They were a (mostly) compatible group. Mai could never be intrusive, her company simply added to the vague sense of excitement and unknown of a brand new group and a brand new experience to the human world. Junko had been in the human world before .. Vaith was almost envious. UNTIL LIZZY AND JUNKO RUINED THE BRO SHAKE. FOREVERRRRR. FOR ALL TIME. His "o" mouth and realization of shock went something like this,
Vaith was going to pretend he never saw that. But Junko and Lizzy couldnt miss the absolutely horror and sadness and undoubtedly, a accusation and blame that centered on the two females. That was until the boil Reaper face-palmed himself into oblivion. He should simply have died now. THankfully, a handshake wasn't the end of his physical world-- only mind-shattering his mental one.(LIZZY HOW COULD YOU, HOW COULD YOOOOOU.) And then it went something like this:
No. No.
Accusation. In his eyes. ALL THE TIME.
"Hey Mai. Thanks for inviting me." Vaith spoke as she entered their small sphere of companions, one hand lifting in a high-five approach. Perhaps, it lacked a little less of his energy than it should have but who could blame him? The crime had been commited by two ghouls he knew, even if only partially. He could have ignored it. But now it was forever imprinted in his mind.
"The outfits are kick-a** too. We'll be in for a ride, they should come in handy."
