 Alex looked up at Sabre as he offered to explain to her father why she was calling. But then that would bring up the question what was Sabre doing there on the other end of the line. And that wasn’t exactly fair to put it all on Sabre. Alex shook her head, hoping he would understand, “Dad, please listen? There’s-“ She began to say, pausing as she was interrupted again. “Okay… Yeah… Well there’s someone here… he says he’s my bother…” Gabriel shook his head; really this was his older sister? She seemed far too timid to have anything like their father’s temper. “Okay…” Alex said again, looking up at the two standing at the door. “Your names Gabriel… right?” She asked and the male Neko nodded.

 Sabre sighed a little but a smile crept to his face when Alex refused to give him the phone. He could guess enough as to why she wouldn't give him the phone, but honestly Sabre would rather be the one to get introuble instead of her. Whether or not he cared to admit it, he could take any form of punishment delt out to him. Crossing his arms lightly behind his back he wait to hear what the verdict was.

Alex nodded, “Okay… I’ll talk to you later then… Bye.” She let her dad hang up rather than hang up on him, just in case he wanted to add anything. After the line went dead she put the phone back saying, “Dad said he forgot to call ahead and let me know…” Gabriel did a sort of annoyed scoff before saying, “That does not surprise me.” He then bent down a little, picking up the suitcase Alex didn’t notice before, and straightened the best he could on his good right leg. “Can I come in now?” He asked, a bit of the annoyance seeping into his voice as he waited for Sabre to move.

As much as Sabre didn't want to let the boy in he stepped out of the way. The kid was already on his nerves. "So I'm going to guess that you'll be staying with us. Allow me to take your things to the guest room." Sabre offered moving to take the boy's luggage. "A room on the first floor I think would be best."

“I can make it up the stairs just fine,” Gabriel said, the annoyance still in his voice but let Sabre take the suitcase. He walked in, using the cane to support most of his weight on the left side and looked around. Alex bit her lip nervously, her head spinning with questions. She had a brother and didn’t even know it. He didn’t look too old or too far in age from her either. If Gabriel was hidden away for his long it raised yet another question. Is he the only sibling? Or are there more? One thing Alex was certain about she didn’t like the way he almost snipped at Sabre.

"Alright then, upstairs it will be then. Please make yourself comfortable in the living room while I prepare your room. Milady if you'll excuse me a moment." Sabre said with a small bow to Alex. Moving up the stairs he took the suitcase up to the spare room on left side of the hall just past Alex's. Setting it down he moved to the window opening it up to let some freash air in. Opening the case he started putting all of the younger neko's clothes away. Doing a quick bit of cleaning to the room he left the other odd ball objects on the table in there. After a few minuets he came back down stairs. "You're room is ready. If you wish I can take you up too it. Or if you like I can make you something to eat." Sabre said softly as he stepped back into the living room.

Gabriel nodded, making his way to the couch and taking a seat as Sabre was walking up the stairs. Getting down was the easy part, getting back up would be a bit difficult. ‘I cannot wait until this stupid leg heals properly…’ He thought to himself. Alex bit her lip, nodding as Sabre spoke to her; she sat on the piano bench carefully, just barely on the edge and ready to get up at a moment’s notice. “Um, so… How old are you?” Alex asked, head tilting a little. “Fourteen,” Gabriel answered, resting the cane on his knees. “Oh… erm…” Alex said, figuring he would have added more or at least asked her a question. The answer was so direct; it cut through her thought process and didn’t give her enough time to come up with anything else. The uncomfortable atmosphere was lifted a little (in Alex’s opinion anyway) as Sabre made his way back down. Alex looked slightly relieved even. “I’m not hungry,” Gabriel said, working on getting up as he used the cane to his advantage. “Thank you,” He added as an afterthought as he was finally up.

"Alright then, let me take you upstairs so you can settle. Do you require anything for your leg? It looks as thought it pains you alot." Sabre asked as he stopped near Alex. Turning once more to head up the stairs he gave her shoulder a light reassuring squeeze. Once he got the young Neko settled, he thought he'd try and get Alex outside for a walk or go swimming again. His mistress looked like she needed a distraction.

Alex looked up as Sabre gently squeezed her shoulder, attempting to smile. Her mind was so full all that came out was a half-hearted smile. “No, I don’t need anything for my leg,” Gabriel said, the annoyance seeping back into his voice. He hated being treated like a child and that’s how he felt Sabre was treating him. “He’s just trying to help…” Alex said in Sabre’s defense which only got a annoyed sigh in return. Gabriel made his way up the stairs, the thin handle of the cane stuck in the crook of his elbow as he used the rail to support him.

"It's alright Milady." Sabre called back down the stairs, his small smile back on his face. Walking slowly but not too slowly he led Gabriel to his new room. "This is it. Your bathroom is also near by. I went ahead and unpacked everything for you. If you need anything don't hesitate to ask." He continued opening the door for him.

Gabriel simply nodded, walking into his room and going to the small table. He began to straighten some of the things on the table, particularly the pictures he brought with him. “I don’t need anything,” Gabriel said once he was satisfied with how the frames where positioned. His eyes lingered for a moment too long on the picture of him and a young girl, the same age as Gabriel was when the picture was taken, his twin in fact, although her hair was much longer than his and her smile was genuine. Alex stood up, half walking to the stairs before stopping. ‘Maybe I should’ve went along to make sure he would be nice to Sabre…’ She thought to herself among the many questions.

"Is everything alright sir? You don't look well." Sabre asked softly as he watched the boy. He had been curious about the picture when he had put it up earlier but he wasn't gunna ask about it. Leavinga sibling was never easy he hoped this wasn't a forced separtion.

“Nothing’s wrong,” Gabriel said before making his way to the bed. He wasn't alright, but nothing was wrong… “I don’t need anything. You can… leave, go do what you want, whatever.” He added as he sat down rather heavily, resting the cane against the bed. Alex took another few steps towards the stairs, her ears perked up and straining to hear anything out of place.

"Alright then. Try to rest easy tonight. Miss Amy will be here in the morning to cook breakfast. I'll wake you before then. Good night." Sabre said bowing slightly before leaving. Closing the door gently behind him he headed for the stairs. When he saw Alex down by the base of them he paused chuckling. "Everything alright upstairs, Milady. You don't need to worry." He said as he came down. "Are you alright, though?"

Try to rest easy? Gabriel was exhausted, the time zone was so different here than in Japan. At home it was probably about one in the morning, but here? There was still daylight shining. Gabriel didn’t bother to change, instead he laid down, letting the exhaustion take hold. A relieved look took over Alex’s face and she nodded at what he said. “I don’t know… just too many questions are buzzing around and… I’m confused and…” Alex said, trying to explain she was alright physically but mentally, she didn’t even know. She sighed, letting her ears fall a little and looking down.
