Gai and Kakashi have an intereseting relationship, have you read the whole manga? (If so, why did Gai chose Kakashi for his rival?)

I've read most of it, the middle I haven't gotten to yet.
And I'm pretty sure it's just cause Kakashi is so good..got into the anbu really young,,becaome a jounin really young.
