Finally, Kaya made it out of the castle and into the grounds. She sighed in relief at the fresh air, even if the air was colder and less dense than she was used to. She ran her fingers of the trees she passed, feeling the gaps in the bark pieces. Finally, he came to a grove of trees that had multiple different trees. She was finally able to identify one, called the willow tree, and she smiled, swinging around the trunk gracefully, her dark curls falling down her shoulder.
Chloe finally completed the song, and she yawned, her stomach growling at the same time. She frowned, and picked up her violin. As she quickly ran through the completed product of her song, she decided she'd rather sleep for a few more hours before eating. So, she packed her violin away and left the practice rooms, heading back to the room. She carefully opened the door, hoping to not wake Lute, only to find he wasn't there.
Razz opened his mouth to speak, but his eyes caught a little pearl of water heading down her neck. He leaned in and brushed the water away, then removed a piece of red hair from her cheek. He kissed her nose and offered the tray he had. ["Breakfast?"
Demetri couldn't help but hop up and start to sing a song, himself.

Luke had almost reached a full on sleep until he heard some leaves rustle and bark crackle. He yawned some and glanced over to the noises, his wolf ears out, trying to locate the sound.
Lute tapped Chloe on the shoulder and smiled some. "Do you want something to eat first, or do you want to rest?" he asked, still holding the tray of food.
Yumi blushed a little when Razz wiped the drop from her neck and moved some of her hair. She blushed more when the wizard-in-training kissed her nose. "Y-Yeah... I'm kinda hungry."
Lunora squeaked when she heard Demetri start to sing. How long had he been standing there?! Her face flushed a very bright red.

Kaya pushed through the hanging leaves of the willow tree, smiling as she came to a little secluded clearing. She didn't notice anybody else, and she walked around the edge, a happy little smile on her lips. "Beautiful," she muttered to herself.
Chloe turned around, surprised, and she smiled back at Lute. She blushed a little, knowing she looked like she'd just rolled out of bed, and she tried to flatten her stubborn hair before looking up at the tray. "I think I'll eat first, thank you," she said softly.
Razz offered the pastries out to Yumi. "Good, because I need a guinea pig. The one in the center is a blueberry cream-filled tart with a muffin crumble on top; to the left is a mountain berry combination, with apple butter on top; and the one on the right is filled with mandarin oranges and dried cherries with lemon-rasberry sauce on top."
Demetri smiled as Lunora's hair matched her face, now. He jumped up onto the fountain beside her and ruffled her hair. "Should I confront her
Should I wait for her?

Luke changed into his wolf form and followed the voice. He soon poked his head out of a bush to see who was talking. But he was tired so his eyesight was a little fuzzy.
Lute took Chloe into his room and sat her on the bed before serving her the pastries. "Eat up, Chloe. You must be starving."
Yumi looked at all the pastries Razz described. They all sounded so good!! Which would she try first? If this was what a guinea pig had to do, then she'd happily be one!
Lunora whined a little when Demetri ruffled her hair, making her blush more as she fixed it.

Kaya was still running her fingers over the long strands of the tree, when she brushed against something on her bare leg, right before the hem of her dress. She looked down, catching sight of her familiar wolf friend. She knelt down and scratched his ears. "We keep coming across each other, don't we?"
Chloe smiled and blushed a little, taking one of the pastries and beginning to eat it. She tugged on Lute's arm, pulling him to sit beside her. She leaned her head on his shoulder, careful not to spill crumbs on him.
Razz smiled at Yumi's overwhelmed expression. "Why don't you go in the order they're in on the plate?" he suggested, leaning against the door jam.
Demetri kissed Lunora's forehead, as the song he'd sung had implied. Then he grinned at her.

Luke murred softly, his tail wagging when he heard Kaya's lovely voice and his ears were being scratched. Yay, he found his scratch goddess again!
Lute smiled and sat next to her and let her lean on him while she ate.
Yumi nodded some and started with the first one, taking a bite of it.
Lunora blushed once more when he kissed her forehead, but she smiled back and kissed the tip of his nose.

Kaya sat down on the ground, continuing to scratch the wolf's ears as she hummed a little tune from her village. It was a lullaby that her mother had taught her. "You're certainly a sweet thing," she said softly after a few minutes of singing.
Chloe finished her pastry and began a new one, but her eyes were starting to droop, and she knew she'd need to crawl into bed soon.
Razz smiled at Yumi's expression. It was nice to be able to regularly serve what he made, rather than have to hear once in a while that somebody had liked something or other. It was hard to have other kitchen boys tell him about what they'd overheard.
Demetri smiled at Lunora, too. He was beginning to like this child thing. Usually Lunora had him on a leach doing her bidding. Well, she still did, but this was one of those rare times where he could make her blush, and he liked the power.

Luke murred more, listening to her sing her pretty little song. Such a pretty voice. He then heard her call him sweet and the wolf smiled a little and licked her cheek.
Lute took the pastry before CHloe bit into it and he smiled. He then laid her down and tucked her into the bed. "Sleep Chloe. You're tired."
Yumi finished off all the pastries and she smiled, snuggling up to Razz. "All of them were really good."
Lunora smiled some and glanced around, then to Demetri. "So... What would you like to do?"

Kaya laughed a little as the wolf licked her cheek and she kissed the top of his head in return, continuing to pet him and scratch him. "I'd love to know who taught you to be so sweet," she said, more to herself than to anyone else.
Chloe took hold of Lute's arm again, pulling him down beside her. She snuggled against his chest and closed her eyes. "Alright," she agreed.
Razz smiled down at Yumi, kissing the corner of her mouth to get a little crumb off. "I'm glad you thought so," he said softly to her.
Demetri shrugged. He still wasn't used to being a child, and he could only ever think of the things he'd do, like reading, as an adult. There were only a couple more days left of the mistaken spell, so he knew soon he and Lunora would be back to normal, and they wouldn't have these problems anymore.

Luke thought some as she pet him and scratched his head after kissing it. Maybe he should show her his human form. He licked her cheek once more before going back through the bush and changing form, leaving his ears and tail out. She might as well be able to connect the dots, right?
Lute laughed softly and cuddled with Chloe, him drifting off as well.
Yumi blushed some, but smiled some. She grabbed his shirt collar and brushed her lips teasingly against Razz's before pulling away and winking at him again. Teasing him was so fun!

Kaya frowned some as the wolf licked her cheek before promptly disappearing. She stood, smoothing out her dress and tucking her hair behind her ears. She considered following the wolf, but decided against it, turning around instead to start wandering through the trees again.
Chloe fell asleep easily, her face in the crook of Lute's neck.
Razz's ears heated up as Yumi roughly pulled him down to her face, then released him. He frowned and leaned down, trapping Yumi against the door frame. "Not fair," he muttered to her, kissing her softly.

Luke waited for Kaya to come through the bushes, but when she didn't come after a while, his ears fell. She wasn't going to follow him? Oh.... Ok then. Maybe she had other things to do? Luke transformed back into his wolf form and sulked off.
Lute murred some, cuddling Chloe more as he fell asleep by her side.
Yumi gasped a little when Razz trapped her against the door frame. But she accepted the soft kiss. Maybe this relationship was going to work out.

Kaya was a little sad that the wolf, so far her only friend, and run off, but she started to sing again to clear her mind. The tree grove she was in appeared to be completely deserted, so she didn't mind singing a little louder than she would've if people had been there.
Razz smiled a little and pulled away, resting his forehead on Yumi's. "And that's why you don't mess with me."

Luke sat down under a small bridge over a koi pond. It had a small part of bank under it for him to sit under. Which is where he sat and sulked, staring at all the fish, the turtles who had their own partners. It made the wolf feel pretty lonely.... Why couldn't he have someone like that?
Yumi smiled coyly and ran her fingers through his hair, brushing her lips against his once more. "And maybe I should teach you not to mess with me." she whispered, kissing him rather teasingly before she broke it and closed the door on the wizard-in-training.

Kaya ran her fingers over some bark, finding a strange pattern. Pausing she looked over at the pattern, finding it to be a poorly drawn heart with two names in it. A childish game of choosing future love, she knew vaguely. It wasn't quite the tradition in her home village, but she'd seen it all too often since leaving the desert plain. Sighing, she shook her head and continued, the trees thinning as a pond began to appear in the distance.
Razz's mouth was hanging open as the sound of the door shutting rang in his ears. He leaned his head against the door for a moment, wondering if Yumi was going to open the door again, but then he remembered that small shred of dignity he was allowed to keep and he stood, smoothing his hair from where the fox had run her fingers in it, before turning and slowly walking back to the kitchen, a smile on his face.
