If you just want Maxi to spar with someone, you've got a flying island and a gymnasium with more weapons than the armory at Troy. Besides, who logically does it make sense for the Reaper to spar with?

Shadow Island Description: The island itself is a two mile chunk of land which once made up a cliff edge, but seems to have broken off and flown away. Its surface are is roughtly 2 square miles, and it extends downwards 400ft in an odd cone shape. ...I dont know about little...but yes. -- Well, it would have to be in the void. IC he's...yeah, it'd have to be in the void.
