Well, when the beam hit, both me, and this other guy named Seroph were right there, so we both got hit by the beam. At that point, a small portion of the Goddessess power was poured into us.

She said that my desires boiled down to basically 2 things. Adventure, and helping people. She also said that she COULD'VE taken her power back, but didn't because of this. You see, this whole power-gaining thing was an accident on her part.
So I'm supposed to eventually get some new powers, yet for now my body is still adjusting to this new power. Untill my body adjustes, trying to use them will simply be ineffective. Serieously, apperently, I'm gonna get healing powers, but when I tried, I baerly produced enough energy to heal a small cut, yet felt like I was going to pass out!
