True, and I know I prefer verbal communication as well... Maybe it's just the people around here, or the people I tend to gravitate toward offline.
Even offline friends, if they're having a problem "Well, did you talk to him/her about it?" "Are you kidding? And start a fight?"

I guess people hate owing up to what they do and say. If you are honest with someone it means you have to come to terms with the things you did wrong as well.
Even if you're intellectually and rationally OK with such things it's just not something you enjoy.
