*Luke watches Cora head off.* G'night..... *He scratches his head...wondering if she's okay....*
*Then Luke looks to Mercutio Cross with a sideways grin. He nods where Cora left.* She wants me.

*cross feels himself start to fade.... and imediatly Dives for the ornate chest... his hands grasping the handles as he fades out*

Malazar fades into the Brink in complete silence. He is lying calmly on a table top with a visor of some sort of his head. His breathing is slow and deep, and his body twitches with small actions of muscle memory. He seems to be asleep.
Malazar is still young and his black hair is done up in a simple knot secured with two thin spikes. He's wearing black sweatpants and a green t-shirt with " Shockball: Red Lightning" emblazoned in red on the front. His gloves are absent, as is his coat and sandals and feet wrappings.

:::Cora walks out of the hallway and into the open bar room of the brink. She looks around, and sees a man sleeping on a table. She is pretty sure that its Malazar, even though his appearance keeps changing. The smell of tobaco smoke usually gives it away though:::
:::She walked closer and wondered if she should take him to his room to sleep more comfortably in his bed, but decides againts it. She goes to the bar, and quietly grabs herself some wine:::

Like she said, it does look like Malazar, but the smell of smoke and booze is absent. In fact, he has cleaned up rather well since Cora last saw him. Its apparent that he's in a pretty deep sleep, and isn't waking up any time soon.

:::Cora sips her wine contently, deep in thought about recent observances there at the brink. She broke from it for a moment and looked over her shoulder, back at the soundly sleeping Malazar:::
:::Strange...he does not usually wear such apparel She slowly moves off her stool, and in his direction. Cora begins to watch him closely. He is obviously in a very deep sleep. There seem to be very few layers of clothing on him, not to mention a lack of equipment...except the strange visor. She starts looking at it closer. She does not sense anything strange, but does know that it is active, the sound of data processing hums quietly through it:::

Upon closer inspection, little details about Malazar become apparent. Details that are normally covered by clothing. His arms and the sides of his neck are covered in the pale shadows of long-healed scars. One of his feet is missing three toes and the majority is covered by a large pale moon of a scar. The visor seems to be glowing slightly in front of Malazar's eyes, and at the temples they seem to be applying pressure for one reason or another. It covers his eyes and ears, with two small attachments hooked into his nostrils. Even this close, Malazar doesn't react at all to Cora's presence.

Electronueral pulse... :::She puts her hand on Malazars shoulder and nudges him a bit:::

Nothing, Malazar is completely nonresponsive. This is probably even more disturbing, as even while smashed beyond reason Malazar had reflexes like a cat.

Malazar!!! :::She was becoming worried, she did not know what the device was sending him... She thought about it a moment, that perhaps it wasn't a bad thing, but...in case it WAS detrimental, she should remove it. She removed the nostril projections, and then she slipped it off his temples, then waited to see what happened:::

The moment the visor comes off, Malazar's hand darts out like a snake and latches onto Cora's elbow like a iron vice.
"The door was locked, who dares enters my quarters without my permission. You have two seconds to answer before I kill you."
Malazar still has his eyes closed, not looking at anything to avoid the glare depriving one of his senses as he moves like a snake off the table. One of the spikes from his hair is in his hand and against Cora's jugular in an instant. His fingers drive into the artery on the soft inside of her elbow. It all happened in an instant, and his voice says he is deadly serious.

just as quickly as Malazar moved, Cora reacted...not a beat went by before Cora deflected the spike, and forced it from his hand into hers. She dropped it, and released herself from his grasp...
1.2 seconds later....
It's Cora. You are safe, Malazar. Open your eyes.
:::Only then does she notice a little man on the other side of the brink. She's concered about the violence he had just witnessed:::
