An attack happened in the middle of a street with a scream loud enough to wake the dead. I claim an eyewitness saw a shadowy thing.

If you read it, though, I'm pretty sure I said it was devoid of people, so you couldn't have seen anything, esspeccially since Neko and her abducter were gone really quickly after the scream, like instantaneously quick.

Okay, then my character is going to investigate a loud scream in conjunction with the signs of battle, and from there look to the signs to see if it was an nightbreed attack I could recognize. I'm not trying to jump the gun here, simply trying to even the playing field and take the information I can garner to take the next logical step.

And this is why I said I encountered a crowd of people around a blood spot. Nothing about the scream, though I would have probably heard it. The pavement shred is also a clue. xd
