DustyMemory Indeed. Speaking of rants, why am I getting so many god-damned guild invites? I'd normally feel special when "High-class" or "literate" uber-fighting guilds invite me....but I just don't have the time to bounce around like that. Welcome tot he world of Litteracy. See, these days, gaia if FILLED with Sadistic, Emo illiterates, that only post poetry, and bad lyrics... Mind you, PAGES of this crap. I love the fact I'm not one of them. Just the other day I got invited to this gaian coliseum tournament thing. Really didn't look well run sweatdrop I can't settle for a guild that's purely fighting.... I need philosophy and spiritual enrichment in my RPs stare

And Thus you'll always have to resot to throwing balls of energy, using barriers, or simply tossing aura about like a damned anime-watching noobit. No offense, but those places are usually inhabited by people who know what they're doing and sometimes even use some of those things in real life.
Exactly why the Leviathan Stadium doesn't allow for moving faster than the speed of sound or light, or any of that crap. It's places like that where intelligence and skill are your weapon of choice, not just spamming up a background of being an impressive super-mage. In fact, the only reason I like this guild is because it rids me of boredom and the history of it that I share. Otherwise, a lot of the "fights" here pale in comparison to those of some of the more respectab;e fighting areas.
All and all, as much as I fight here this place is more of a story RP than a battle one, and I like it that way. I just like to spice things up, every good story has conflict after all.

Tis why I decide to use mainly my bare skin, unless I need to use a ranged weapon. >__>;;

I think the best fight I ever had was way back in the beginning of '04..... I hardly used any of Twi's flashy moves and went more for tactics. The other guy did too, but he used a lot more DBZish moves.... wish I could remember his name. Was an awesome 4 hour bout. Also, that's part of the premise behind the battle system. I'm hoping it would promote having spectacular moves take a back seat and rely more on logic and skill of thought. The abilities would just be enhancements meant to shift the balance of the battle at focal points. Really, I'd like to see an entire battle with each person keeping their feet on the ground, so to speak. Nothing in the battle system says normal kicks, punches, jumps, and that jazz cost any AP/MP, nor does it say the abilities are the only things you fight with 3nodding Sadly it doesn't look like it's going to be taken advantage of anytime soon ^^;; I have to make A LOT of battle profiles.
