Sierra looked over at the Goblin as he said it was complicated, she simply shrugged it off and took a sip of her wine. She had noted the dragon was spacing out but didn't say anything just remain sitting there then he snapped out of it and she listened to the conversation between dragon and goblin while taking note of Kisuke leaving to return with another drink. Sierra looked round at them and was beginning to think if the tavern was where they were going to be for the rest of the day, not being the talkative sort she remained silent.

Vestakia laughed. "Ska'ra means Brave one, it also mean freedom, it all depends on how you use it." She explained. "In my language, your name would be Sou'ralen. My name was La'rah, it held no meaning because Father always said their was power in names especially ones that held a higher meaning in them, if the enemy learned your name then he had power over your soul." she sighed sadness coming back over her, but a small smile rested on her face. "He may have been just an entertainer, but he was a brave warrior at heart..."

The dragon slowly nodded before taking back the gold, "If that is what you wish, I will respect your desicion." he truned his gaze back to the gold and put each one into the small bag before turning his gaze back to the small creature, "Seems that Bekir* has chosen you as a follower if you can sense Vestakia's pain." he said with a friendly smile.

"Bekir? I have never heard of them, I was given the gift of empathy from Lei'irin, or in common, the Life Mother Goddess of the earth and the Fae, but its not just that...those of us who have gone through the same suffering tend to know each others pain." he said before changing the subject. "Anyway, your group tends to be a bit mismatched, i don't see that very often, are you travellers like the gypsies?" He asked easily passing it off as a casual question.

Hunter just nodded as he continued walking with Vestakia still keeping an eye out for anyone that may want to attack them from a nearby alley, he didn't trust that the wolves were completely gone and it was just too easy that they had left.

"Okay, I'm gonna assume you went with the 'brave one' meaning of the term then because calling me freedom makes ABSOLUTELY no sense" He said waving his hands at the last part for emphasis before giving her a small grin, "Don't worry about the name and power thing, I could care less about having it over you, speaking from experience being powerless sucks and as for me, just call me 'Hunter" it's much cooler and easier to say than that S-s-soul something or other you just called me."

At the mention of her parents Hunter noticed Vestakia's mood suddenly change again and not wanting to risk the red-eyed version of her coming out he tried something different and put on as best a serious face in this situation as he could thinking back to something that his own father might have said in a situation like this, "Anyone that risks their own life to save the lives of others is an awesome warrior...your dad sounds really co-i mean admirable, I would've been honored to meet him" He looked a ground, his ears flattened and for the first time in months a somber look appeared on his face before it left as quickly as it came.

The dragon chuckled at the comment, "Bekir is one of the Guardians, more specifically the Psychic Guardian, the controller of mental and spiritual energy." he said before letting the small goblin speak, but when his question came up he thought for a moment, "I guess you could say that, although Im here for my own reasons, the group is only acting as a shield for me." he said, trying to hide the group's true objective while covering with his.

"Everyone says that, and I know it's true they say the same for my mother as well...but I still cant help but feel abandoned by them, they went in knowing they wouldn't come back out, they knew they would leave me behind an orphan, its almost as if they wanted to die." she lifted her hand to her eyes and rubbed away the forming tears, refusing to cry in public. "If they had lived then I would have never been taken to Tal'rukk, never had to face him day after day and I wouldn't have to deal with this." she said pointing at her red eye. "I would have still been able to travel around normally without being stared at like I’m some kind of freak, the Two wolves you saw in the tavern used to be my childhood friends...but when I escaped from Tal'rukk they changed, they still try to act normal around me but they fear me, I can smell it every time I’m around."

~~~
Zanth smiled and gave a light chuckle. "It's okay you don't have to tell me why your really here, everyone has their secrets." He said his ears twitching again the small golden rings on his ears chiming as they tapped against each other. he was going to speak again when a painful rigging sounded, he didn't flinch but his smile dropped and his eyes moved slowly around the tavern, no one else seemed to hear it. "Forgive me, but I must go, thank you again for your help, hopefully I will have enough good luck to meet you again." He said and turned to Sierra. "My lady" he said with a respectful, yet playful, bow, three years ago he used to enjoy causing mischief among the female race that had changed a lot since he returned, but being around the group let him show a little of his former self once again. He quickly straitened from the bow and swiftly made his way out of the tavern turning as quickly as he could down a dark alleyway and curled up against the back wall away from prying eyes holding his head in pain a weeping softly. "please stop...I’m doing what you asked, I just need a little more time to gain their trust...please.." he whimpered as hot tears spilled down his face a few of them mixed with blood. All at once the pain stopped and a black orb formed in front of his face before melting and reforming into what looked like a vial of purple liquid. 'Get Vestakia to drink this, I don't care how you do it but it must be done...fail me and the pain you just experienced wont compare to what I will do next.' Zanth nodded reluctantly knowing the Dark Elf could see him somehow and he took the vial in his hand and slipped it into the small leather pouch on his right hip.
Hunter stopped, it was everything he could do from raising his voice and just stared at the ground, his hair covering his eyes and his voice barely above a whisper.
"You truely believe that?" He asked her, "You really think that their last thoughts as the rushed into the building were ha ha, let's abandon our only daughter Vestakia to the cruel world by killing ourselves, that they didn't do everything within their power to try to make it out, and that life would be any different if they had survived? I don't, in fact I think their last thoughts may have been the opposite."
He clenched and unclenched his his fists as he looked up at her, his voice starting to crack as he held back his own emotions.
"I'll tell you that having parents doesn't make a DAMN bit of difference," Hunter said, a mixture of anger and frustration in his voice, fortunately they were in a crowded part of the city now and it just sounded like he was trying to be heard otherwise it would've been more embarrassing, "My parents just watched four years ago as I was arrested at first and then taken to the arena a couple months later for a crime I didn't even commit!"
He turned away and continued walking, hoping that she didn't see anything, "T-they may not be blood, b-but a-at least you have a family you can go back to..." He paused and pointed back towards the tavern where the caravan and the other champions were staying, "As for me...I'm not even sure I WANT to go back home..."
Vestakia growled and tried to keep herself at bay her hands shaking as she kept herself in control of her own mind and body. 'oh your no fun, you could at least draw a little blood, come on! you don’t have to kill him if you insist on fighting it! just a scratch, a cut anything! PLEASE!' the voice returned and Vestakia lifted a hand up to her head and shut her red eye taking a shaky breath in. "A family huh..." she said as if thinking about the word. "Grandmother is my only family...not the caravan, they listen to me because I stay by the old elf’s side once she dies, they will chase me away, possibly to the border to be taken back by the demons...some of them think I am one because of my eye, my little gift from that damned Drow..." She hissed and winced as the closed eye throbbed painfully. The pain stopped and the voice went quiet again and Vestakia reached out and grabbed Hunter's arm to stop him. "Hunter...when this is over, after He is gone...can you promise me that I wont be left alone..." she half whispered, but knew he could hear her.
Hunter felt her grab his arm and heard the request, but was caught off guard by it, it had only been a month but from what he had come to know about the fox-girl standing in front of him was that this was the last question he thought she of everybody here would ask, well except maybe Sierra but that elf was unpredictable unless in fight, he blink a couple of times as the shock wore off and put his free hand on her arm and looked directly at her noticing for the first time that she was in pain, not physically but emotionally as she looked up at him.
"I promise Vestakia, when this is all over you won't be alone," Hunter said, his voice softer again and his tone seriousI just can't promise it'll be with me...He thought silently to himself hoping that she wasn't a mind reader too before going back to the other part of the conversation, "For what it's worth I kinda like the red eye, it not only makes you unique but is also extemely intimidating as long as it's just the one eye, frankly both eyes red kinda freak me out and after what I've seen over the past four years that takes some doing."
He laughed, more so at his own comment about how he felt than anything before touching next subject, "As for those bastards at the bar that were heckling the goblin that were your friends, trust me it's better this way, they give you something to vent your anger on, I can't speak for the others but if we do at the very least you'll have to keep up with me if you want to hold up your threat and not have someone else beat you to their 'mercy killing'" As he said that he puffed up his chest and proudly and semi-jokingly pointed at himself in case she didn't realize who he was talking about.
Vestakia smiled and dropped Hunter arm but she didn't seem upset that she had asked him to promise something nearly impossible, but at lease he had sounded sincere enough that maybe he would try to keep it. 'ha ha, you here that? he likes me! meh I guess I could hold off hurting him.' Vestakia smiled despite mentally growling at her deranged side. that side of her always had to have some say in a matter.
Vestakia laughed at Hunter comment about her former friends and crossed her arms. "Aw but Hunter, I was the one who gave the threat, it wouldn't be honourable for me to rely on someone else to do my dirty work. even if this someone was a big strong Kitsune." she teased before side stepping around him and continued on her way down the road. "Come on fluffy, lets get some supplies, even if the King decides to remain idle I doubt we will and I would rather not eat the creatures that still live there, tainted meat doesn’t have the right flavour."
Sierra looked up as Zanth stood, she thought he was acting a bit strangely, but took no notice of it. When he spoke to her she only glanced at him and gave the slightest of nods and "Hmphed" in response to his 'My Lady.' And watched him leave in the corner of her eyes. "Strange creature that." Picking up her glass she took another sip of the wine and continued to sit there, probably for the rest of the day and most part of the night.
Kisuke payed no mind to the goblin leaving, he just continued to drink. He continued to the point to where he was feeling a little tipsy. He was starting to fall back into his seat and soon drifted off to sleep.
((sorry if this is dragging, takes me a bit to pick up what I want to do next but since you have been so loyal and patient with me I promise it will be worth while and try to get your chars to interact with each other a little more, I noticed things tend to die without my chars around the others.))
Vestakia was already waiting at the front doors that entered into the grand castle she was chatting happily with the goblin from before, Zanth. they both seemed carefree as they spoke in the wild born language as if life hadn't done the two of them any injustice. they had meet after Hunter and her had returned to the tavern when night fell, she hadn't been able to sleep and had returned downstairs to see the Goblin sitting at the back table again, she had sat down next to him and both of them connected immediately. Later on when he asked why she was awake she told him she was having trouble sleeping lately and the goblin had reached into his pouch and produced the small vial of purple liquid telling her it should help and she drank it willingly without much thought, she had returned upstairs an hour later and as Zanth had said she was able to sleep more comfortably then she had in a while.
Vestakia looked up as the others came to join her and she grinned, seeming in a better mood then the other day. "Took you silly beasts a while to get here I thought Zanth and myself would have to go in alone...oh right, Zanth has decided to join us, help rid the land of the Demon king so his people do not have to live in fear any more." she explained the small creature shifting beside her nervously, then she began serious again. "Remember, even if he had granted up this audience with open arms do not take advantage of his kindness he is an Ancient Dragon ruling over a city of Warriors, he must be treated with respect and whether we come from noble backgrounds or not we must remain polite even if the situation starts to turn bad for us." she explained. "Even with Grandmother's blessings behind me he is one creature I do not even dare raise my voice to."
Upon arriving she was not overly surprised to see a new member among their group, however she didn't take the goblin for the fighting type, but she just shrugged off the thought and looked at Vestakia who seemed happier than usual, then as she spoke her expression seemed to get more serious. She looked at Vestakia, "You will have no worry from me, I don't disrespect the elders." She glanced at Hunter remembering how he had treated Vestakia's Grandmother when they first met, but in her way she was just teasing him, she did look over at the dragon, if anyone was to mess up their meeting it would be one of his guardians. She brought her attention back to Vestakia, "As a warrior himself I'm sure, it would be an honor I'm sure just to be in his presence, one could learn much from him." Her expression remained blank the entire time but inside she did feel a little awed, "That is if he agrees to aide us."
