"It's just... pods full of people," Sydney said, flushing slightly. "It's right out of a cheesy alien movie, and--" She stopped, shrugging. "I'm sorry, I don't believe I've introduced myself. My name is Sydney..."
Sydney what? She actually wasn't even sure THAT was her name. "Sydney Lowe," she said finally. "I think." Which sounded rather ridiculous to her. But her memories made no sense, had it been a game? But she wasn't much of a gamer! "Deus Ex Machina," she said, remembering that one of them had said that. "God in the machine?"
She turned, looking at the pod she had been in, examining it thoughtfully.

Hold up. Whomever talking was, way, way too cheerful. But he was in way too much pain to care. Too much. Pain. Everywhere.
"Heals please." He finally managed to wheeze. And that was exactly how he introduced himself to the reception brigade, begging for heals. Even if they were Alliance, beggars could not be choosers after all, desperate times called for desperate measures. "Any chance I could get some buffs too? I think mine ran out after I uhhhhhh"- he tried to remember exactly what he had been doing, other than being ganked - "ummmmmm....."

No foreboding lyrics here.
Just ringing. Oh the ringing, why the ringing. Was it ringing outside? Where was it ringing? Mercedes didn't open her eyes when it first started to occur but she could feel the shift of planes. First it was nothing but chaos. All she could remember was just pure chaos around her. And then it was dark and years and years and years passed by where she never seemed to grow old. Lucidity of the dream was sometimes there and sometimes not. Now it seemed stronger than ever after the chaos... but why?
Why. Was. There. RINGING?
If only she could reach up for her ear maybe to cover it.. but that wouldn't work it was blown clean off along with the rest of that side of her body. Sure it was. Slowly a hand reached up as if she'd checked this many many times before. With eyes still closed she gently caressed where the rim of her ear used to be. Mass. That couldn't be right. Ugh but the RINGING.
"Jus- nm..." she mumbled once more.
"Wh.. sit... ringing." The mumble became more of a pout as Mercedes' weight moved forwards.
The ringing began to grow softer...
and softer...
softer.
Until it was replaced with the hum of reality. All she had to do was open her eyes. Faces. Pods. Everything was as tangible as before the chaos. Mercedes Chenoweth now took in her first consensus breath of air in quite a long time.

"Yeah, that's my name alright," Deryk grinned to one of the girls. For a moment, he looked to Sydney, a little confused with her answer. It seemed like she had taken what he said a little literally. However, his attention quickly went back to the one male newblet as the guy asked for heals and buffs.
Wait.
The Death trainee stared at him for a good few moments, thinking. There weren't many people who would use such terminology... unless..
"No heals on any of us. Gonna have to wait til your orientation is up. Won't be needing any buffs either. Not here. Friendly zone you could say. That and uh... not in game."

Very good, Mr. Bond."Well, yes. It is strange at first, hm? This sort of thing becomes 'the norm' after awhile though. You'll get used to it. It's nice to meet you, Sydney." She chuckled when she seemed to hesitate on her own name, leaning over Gale's shoulder to check if the girl was right about her own name. She paused and kind of just stared at first. "...Chipmunk, your handwriting sucks." She said flatly, leaning away to give Sydney a nod. "We usually just call it Deus Ex, but yes." A size ten? Damn, son. Big feet were big. Candace frowned. "My shoes will be too small. Damn. I'm sorry.""Heals please."...Wait, what? Buffs? Was he serious right now. "You're in Orgrimmar, kid. There's no fighting here."Oh good! Someone else was awake! Candace smiled again and gave the newest trainee a wave. "Morning! Eeeeeasy there, take your time getting out. We're still waiting on a few more to wake up.."

It did hurt. It was too noisy-- She had heard of hangovers but she wasn't quite sure if this was it. She had never drank in her lifetime but if it felt similar to this, she wasn't quite sure she wanted to. Her hands ran down her cheeks in a weary motion, rubbing her eyes. Her legs folded under her skirt, one hand lowered to rub her throat , fingers partially wrapping around the circumference. Evidently, she had woken up after some of them, missing a great majority of the speech. Her hair was embarrassingly scattered, slightly so, looking around at the strange surroundings.
Everything was strange. So strange, she wasn't sure what question out of the hundreds came first. One hand consciously tucked her hair behind her ear, cyan eyes glancing around. They were in Deus Ex .. What a fancy name. Hm.
One dialogue seemed to plague her mind, possibly being the first word she heard when she woke up.
"What are buffs?"

He had to stifle a small smile at Deryk's introduction, instead turning and leveling a look up at Candace, this time lifting both brows at her with an expression of great innocence.
"It does not suck," he said, mildly indignant, but this was a complete fib, seeing as how his notes were scribbled haphazardly across the paper and not entirely legible, even by himself.
Gale really had no idea what the one new trainee was talking about - the one who had tripped out of his own pod - and instead turned his attention to the newest ones, the ones that were still awakening and looking rather disoriented - two girls, one with pale, blondeish brown hair, and another with hair that fell in long swoops about her face.
"Good morning," said Gale, with a nod to the both of them. "My name is Gale Gentry - welcome to Deus Ex. Might I ask what your names are?"

Dear god did her head pound. A painful throbbing that pulled a groan from her. She swore that was the last damn time she filched Tequila from the convenient store just down the stree- wait. A memory. Something just out of reach... No. No she hadn't been drinking that fire water this time. But then what...why did she remember something about a person in a white coat...? An acceptance. She'd accepted something right? Or agreed to it?
With another groan, Infinity Wynaero carefully blinked bleary eyes open. Only to curse softly at the bright light. Fuuuuck! Didn't people know bright lights hurt when you had a migraine?
Hunter...
Wait, what? That word. It just appeared there, whispering about her mind. Fini tried to hold on to that word, find why it came to mind in the first place. But it was gone too quickly. What's going on...? She was confused. Very confused. And felt groggy. And...she was starting to realize there was just a blank spot in her mind. Where there should have been something.
Voices? Where those voices? Attempting the 'opening eyes' thing again, Fini blinked rapidly, eyes watering as she tried to let them adjust to the light. And slowly, things started to solidify and no longer look like bright blobs. People. There were people here! Some looked to be in about the same confused state she was. Which was slightly comforting. But where the hell where they?!
And why can't I remember anything?
Death. There had been death. A death. Who...my death? With a little more renewed effort, she took a hesitant step away from whatever she'd been in. She'd been in something? Wait! She'd died? What?! That couldn't be right! Because she obviously was breathing. And moving. And so was not a zombie.
"I...I'm so...my head!" She groaned and stumbled a little. Curse you Tequila~!

Ogrimmar. Ogrimmar. He had to walk all the way back to Northrend again. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
Hi. Justin Case is currently comatose right now, nothing was making sense nothing, nothing, nothing. There was even someone asking him what buffs were.
Mental. Freaking. Breakdown. Was he back in newbie land? Had someone reset all his stats? What did he do to deserve such a cruel and horrible life?!
The last part might have been said out loud.

When finally the heaviness of sleep began to wear away Mercedes cautiously brought a hand forwards her to chest and felt a heartbeat. Nothing was in searing pain just very very awkward. She could make out a voice of a girl near by but it was between the state of awakening where she wasn't sure at all what to think of it. In front of her now though stood a young man who couldn't possibly be any older than a cousin on her mother's side. "Morning? What?" she asked drearily then it happened. It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages boxes or- "NNnnnnOOOOOoaaauhhhhmmmm~" Mercedes yawned for what felt like an eternity before rubbing her eyes and stretching out of her little pod. "Deus Ex... oh that's right..." she said between pauses to moisten her mouth. "Gale Gentry. You're not someone I've met yet huh.." Smiling weakly she reached a slender hand out towards him. "Mercedes Lynn Chenoweth."

"Gale, you write like a doctor." Candace teased with a smile, ruffling his hair.
If Candace could read Justin's mind she would be very disappointed.
Why walk when you can fly, noob.
At the loud yawn Candace tried very, very hard not to--damnit! She yawned.
"...Chenoweth?" She raised a brow. "Got a cousin or a sister named Kristin?" Might as well make pleasant conversation while they wait for a go ahead to move on, which might have to wait until the seven other pods opened.

Michael gave a small groan of protest as the comforting dullness of everything slowly faded away to give hold to reality. "Just five more minutes." he mumble before trying to turn over. Try being the operative word. For one, he was standing up and for two the pod wasn't that big.
Instead he ended up smacking his head against the side before stumbling out of his pod before collapsing on the floor in what was to anyone watching a rather hilarious manner when his balance decided it was going to sleep in five more minutes.
....what a brilliant first impression.
Giving himself a moment so that the room stopped spinning he sat up, staring around at the room. He was kind of used to waking up in strange places but at least he usually had a vague idea why he was there. Or a massive hangover. All he could get out of the foggy remains of his memory now was something about him dying which was obviously complete bullshit seeing as he wasn't.
Eh. He was sure it would come to him eventually.

Ami had stayed quiet for a time, just assessing the situation. Slowly, bits and pieces were coming back to her. There had been a trial. Something about hunters. White coats. White coats like the one the threesome in front of her were wearing. It was coming back in fragments, and that wasn't helping anyone.
So she just listened as others asked questions, placing mental notes in her mind as they talked. Deus Ex. Hunters. Island.
Very well then. She very blatantly ignored the two male white coats, turning only to the purple accented girl (Candance), saying, "Waiting? Waiting for what?"

Gale glanced down at his notes.
"I write...like a..." he said, trying to make out a word that looked as though it might have been trainee.
Or maybe it was elephant.
Only Candace could have gotten away with ruffling his hair, though he did give her a somewhat exasperated look as though to say Really? If it had been any other trainee, he might have snapped at her, but Candace was...different.
Strange, definitely, but in a good way. Gale turned back to the new trainees.
"A pleasure, Mercedes," he said, and shook her hand before making a small notation on the paper he held, a smallish sort of smile on his face. "And no, you haven't met me yet, I'm afraid, but you'll be seeing quite a bit more of me in the future, I suppose."
Which was a rather cryptic answer, but Gale went on with his work as it was. Another one had awoken - two, actually, an older girl with sweeping light hair and blue eyes, and a young man who looked completely and utterly dazed.
"Welcome to Deus Ex," said Gale, almost automatically. "Names? And you as well," he added, to the girl with the long orange braid. "I'm sorry, I'm afraid I didn't catch yours."

It was suddenly... very bright. Dillon squeezed his eyelids shut, stubbornly refusing to get up. Then the humming of strange noises came and was that chatter? Dillon opened his eyes slowly.
.... He had no idea where he was.
Dillon forced himself to sit up. His back hurt and he swore he heard his joints creak – signs that he had been asleep for way too long. Next, he tried walking. Dillon felt like such a baby, trying to find his balance and walk straight but it all came back to him eventually. Good.
Now, Observe.
The young man walked back to the man-sized pods, specifically the one he had apparently been in. Dillon held his breath as he examined the glowing runes, trying to piece everything together. There were some others like him who have just awoken and there were those wearing those white coats. Human experimentation?
Nope.
Dillon thinned his lips and let his eyes dart around the strange room. He was starting to recall ....
Hunters.
Dillon mulled over that word for a while. That was probably right. Probably. He'd figure it out eventually, after some questions. “Good Morning?” he tried.
