Chinese appetizers? She didn't know of any that would count as an appetizer that she can't see anyone else right now cooking! Well, maybe a kind of soup would do well.. so Mystery Girl X started to prepare some wontons, to make a wonton soup! The wontons she mixed with crab meat, seeing it there and all. Hopefully it turns out good! (first roll: cooking, second roll: presentation) Ack! Disastrous, truly disastrous! The wontons came out horrible!

Maxwell nodded and complied, doing what she told him to do.. so basically everything other than cook. Sadly making things look pretty was not his speciality, but he at least attempted to make Fleurette's dish appear half passable. Personally, he would have gone with an eggdrop soup since the old woman does not appear to be young enough to be able to digest beef.. but no time to criticize his partner's decision.

Finally! It was time to eat. Gladice knew exactly who she would start with, and who she would push until the very last moment. With Luck, the other judge would have eaten all the whatever Florence had made by the time she got there....
But first, her favourite contestant! She went to MGX table, with high enticipation... however, what she saw displeased her. It was a regular Wonton soup... nothing special, really... She was expeting something extraordinary from her! Not just some regular soup... Oh well, who was she to judge originality? Maybe the girl just wasn't comfortable with a Chinese theme. She went to take a sip and noticed how the dumpling were just.. weird. Badly shapped and... was the meat coming out of this one? Such poor technique... no! Wait! She had probably done it on purpose. She had too...

There! It was good! Not Wonderfully tear shedding good, but good never the less. MGX didn't disapoint but... would that be enough to win a second year? Perhaps.
She then moved to the next table. This was a young redhead woman Gladice could swore she had seen somewhere before... but where? Maybe she had enterer the previous year. She didn't remember. The woman had cooked Jian Bing. Interesting choice. They looked totally average. Not bad, not great. Everything was possible.

Well! They were quite good! She gave the girl an aproving nod before moving to the next table. Proof that average didn't mean it was bad.
Next table was a purple haired girl with the Chinese doctor. Well, having a Chinese with them, they should have something interesting! Something unexpected! Something typical from China! They should have....Balut? Oh Dear Love of God.... Where had they found the ingrediants? Duck Fetus, really? While she knew what it was, she had never really tried eating one before.... and it looked so... mushy. Was it even cooked properly? She doubted it.. Yet, it was a chinese delicacy so she had to taste... better than panda vomit anyday.

Shivers went throught her body as she thought about what exactly she was eating. Not only that, but it was also terrible horrible to eat. No, just no. Maybe the panda vomit would have been better...
She moved on... after drinking some water. Sh had to remove that ba taste from her mouth. She stopped in front of a couple she had never seen before with flashy hair who had done... something? What in the Goddess names where those? Perhaps in an other life they had been eggrolls but... uh... not anymore. It was just a mess. Everything was falling apart and there was sauce everywhere. She took a frighten bite.
- 2 for horrible technique and for coming after the Balut! (bad taste still in mouth)

It wasn't as horrible as she would have expected them too be. They might have been a mess, but they still tasted good. Still, she couldn't get herself to give a good grade to something so badly done like that. She liked apples, but wouldn't give a god grade to someone who just gave her a regular apple!
Next on her path was her granddaughter and he blond friend! Awh, they looked so cute together! Espcecially him! He seemed all nervous around Alanis! Was he crushing on her? Oh, young love~
She took a look at the soup that was in front of her. Turtle soup, was it? Interesting choice. Definitely Chinese. Presentation was really good and technique wasn't bad. It might be something she'd like.

Oh, heaven! This was wonderful! It was perfection in her mouth! She took a second serving and then a third! Good job, young teenagers, good job! Oh, why not a forth. "Alanis, you'll have to give me your recipe" She whispered to the girl, not wanting to tell the other people around just how much she loved the soup! "I call it the Frank Sinatra Turtle Soup!" Replied the young girl cheerily.
Gladice then proceed to an other table. This one was the hairdresser who worked with Kade! As well as a young little boy! Awh, how cute! Simply adorable! And they made Steamed Bun! She loved those! She took a big bite!
+1 for Cuteness!

Simply delicious! Since there were more than just one bun, she walked away with a whole one! No reason to waste such good food!
After that, she stopped at the previous year Runner Up. She had high hopes for her... that is.. until she saw the plate. Was it possible that this was even worst than what the crazy-hair people had done? What had happen to one of her favourite contestant? Maybe she should have come back alone this year instead of teaming up...

Well, if the meal seemed to have failed, Haruka had saved it with taste! Good, she wasn't totally a disappointment. She could blame everything on the older woman with her.
Next on her list was Hansel's niece. She had done Harumaki! Goo choice. Simple, classic, different just enough. And the were really well done from what she could see!
+2 for high exception and technique!
Then again... it was him working with her... why should she assoicate herself with a lousy cheater and horrible cook like Dante...

Yeah, really not good. Average at the very best, but then again, she that was being very generous. She gave the tall boy a dirty look telling him that if they failed, it was all his fault.
She moved to the next table. A blue haired boy working alone. He had prepared crab dim sum! That was a good choice! But... something just wasn't quite right... She wasn't sure what exactly, but she had an odd feeling while looking at that dish... Maybe it was just her... She took a suspicious bite.

Oh? They were good. She had worried for nothing. Not the best dish she had tasted on this round, but surely not the worst. Average school. It was better than a low one!
She went on... To her grandson's table. She gave a faint smile at Keith. Even though she knew it was him now, things were still a bit awkward, and it wasn't like they had talked yet...
She looked over at his dish. Bamboo Salad? Nice choice... The boy did seem to prefer things to be raw or marinated last year. Perhaps he just wasn't good with sauté. Unfortunately, while she could see the technique in the cutting, everything was not as perfect as they could be. She had heard he had gotten wounded, perhaps that was why... but she wasn't there to judge that. What kind of sauce did they used? It looked... unusual. Not bad, but... unusual.
+0 to dice roll for mix feelings.

Whatever that sauce was, it was really good! It mixed really well with the vegetables! She had worried for nothing. Her grandson and impress her once again. She had feeling he might rank in the top three once again.... but then again... His sister dish was better in every way and so was the hairdresser dish... And MGX was still there. She might have just had a bad luck. Everything was possible.
She went on to Walter's table only to saw... yet an other mess. Goddess! Was it that hard to make something good looking? She poked the soup with the back of her spoon twice, making sure it wouldn't jump on her or anything. The dumpling where way too big and mushy. It smelled weird too.... and the presentation was... well, there wasn't any! It was just a bowl of soup...
-1 for bad overall.

Oh dear Goddess. It was as unpleasant to taste as it was to look at. She couldn't even get to swallow it. Even the balut was better! She took a napkin and simply spit everything out looking at Walter in a very disappointed look.
She walked away, trying to forget that dish as soon as possible. She went to a man she had helped earlier. Jack, was it? She looked at his dish that, frankly, didn't look very chinese... still, it had an oriental feel too it... Oh well, that was good enough for her. everything looked really well prepared at least.
+1 for good technique.

At that moment, all lights went out, with the exeption of a ray of sun over her, as little angels came from the sky playing harms, trompets and singing Hallelujahs. That was probably the tastiest dish she had yet tasted that year! It was simply wonderful! Excellent! Succulent! Yet, not as tear shedding as MGX last year entry. Probably because the presentation and the technique weren't more than perfect. Still, highest grade she had given yet!
Next table was the last one. Or at least the last one worth mentioning. There was Still Florence to do after... This dish was made by some tall muscular man. Being 30 years younger, she would have apreciate the sigh.... but she was old and didn't really care about that anymore. Not unless he was living Jeremy's life in her soap opera! He had just revealed to Jessica how much he loved her when a earthquake happened and burried him under the rumbles, but he had survived it and was now suffering from amnesia and... oh, getting distracted there.
+0 for tasting the dish without really paying attention to what it was.
