Logan stopped as she did, though he probably wouldn't have if it weren't for her stopping him. He looked down at her then out at the fountain. "Yes, good job. You've found a great spot," he said before kissing her quickly on the forehead.
He glanced out at the grounds, scouting out how they would be able to see everything. Yes, well, it was a good spot as far as he could tell.
He felt his stomach rumble and his hand immediately flew to it. "Ah, I'm sorry. We haven't eaten yet. I hope you can make it through without getting too hungry. We can stop somewhere on the way back."

"Um,... I have ... a snack bar..." She said with a smile as she held it up pathetically from her purse. "It isn't much. But it can tie you over?"
Again with the feeling stupid, she thought to herself. It was never going to end was it.... probably cause she liked him so much.
.: You totally know they're gonna end up sleeping together on the bed cause he passes out and she just falls asleep... and they're both in their clothes. XD :.

Logan smiled at her revelation. "Haha, purses are lovely things," he said with a slight laugh. He then paused and felt his face grow warm as he realized how that might have sounded. "Ah, I mean...women are lucky. You can carry whatever you want around in your big hand bags while all guys get are their pockets. I couldn't really fit a bunch of snacks in my pockets."
He paused again. He wasn't helping himself. "Not...that I want a purse. That would be weird....Erm....uh, nevermind."

"You could have a satchel. Indiana Jones has a satchel yuh know. You could be like Indiana Jones, Logan. You could have a whip too if you wanted. Works for punishing students who are too far towards the back of the classroom."
She laughed slightly, "But we all know you just want one of those pretty pink ones with flowers and pretty charms."

Logan flushed but decided to ignore the last statement. "I don't think the school would accept that," he said with a slight laugh. "But that would prove useful. Though...I really don't know how the whole 'Indiana Logan' thing would work."
He laughed as an image of him running from a giant, rolling bolder came to his mind. How odd. How very odd. The things she made him say and think...

"But he has a spiffy hat," she added, like she was some sort of salesman. "It just wouldn't work because you like the flowery things too much. I see how it is."
She crossed her arms upon her chest and gave a small huff before looking over at him with a smile.

Logan looked at Kendra with a smile on his face. "Right, the flowery things," he said with a slight laugh. "I see I need to work on my masculinity. I should really get rid of those floral curtains."
He grinned, shaking his head. It was nice how he could turn his embarrassment around to a joke with her. It felt oddly comforting.

"Oh, but I'm very fond of those curtains. Mind if I take them off your hands? I think they'd do wonders to my awfully bland apartment. I mean really, there is no colour in there."
She laughed slightly before poking his side.
"Oooh look! The lights are coming on. I suppose it's dark enough now eh? Couldn't see a thing if the street lights weren't on."
.: Nooootes: the whole city loses power, ja. But the hotel is on backup generator. :.

Logan was about to agree when the lights went on. He looked up, blindly reaching for Kendra's hand. When he felt it, he laced his fingers in with hers and watched the show.
The lights were dazzling as they shot up into the air. The colors shifted and sparkled around the night air as they splashed off of the sails. Logan watched, his eye moving about the synchronized colors when suddenly they all went out. Darkness engulfed them and shrieks rippled through the crowd. Logan's eyebrows furrowed as he stared. What just happened?
He turned and looked behind them. The entire city was dark. After a few moments, some lights began springing on in buildings around the area. Horns blared as the headlights of the cars were the only main source of light. Even the moon was partially covered by the clouds.

Kendra smiled as she felt his hand upon hers, his fingers gliding in between her own. She felt her face grow warm as she smiled. She liked this. It was like she was finally getting what she had wished for. Heck, she WAS getting what she wanted. She didn't care that he was older. He was more mature, that was for sure, but he still did all the things a teenage girl would hope for when being courted.
She looked around as the world went dark around her. Shadows engulfed the structures and people around her, only the bright stars above shining through the city's smog. Another smile pulled at her lips as she closed her eyes. Maybe... this was what it was like... for Logan? She almost laughed at herself. He wasn't fully blind but still.... his one eye.
She could sense him standing next to her. She couldn't see him but she could indeed feel him. She opened her eyes slowly and looked over. A few lights had popped on in some of the buildings but it was still pretty dark.
"Logan," she said in almost a whisper. Her free hand found his chest and slid up to his neck where she held on tight and leaned forward, her lips pressing against his.

Logan began to turn and look at her before feeling her lips against his. He paused a moment before returning the favour.
He could feel her warmth, her skin. He didn't even have to close his eyes to get the full effect, but he did out of habit. He brought his hand up and touched her lightly on the shoulder first, before wrapping his arm around her waist. He forgot everything in that moment. He forgot about the world around him. In fact, he could hardly hear the people's panicked voices. He just held onto her delicate body and kissed her like there was no tomorrow.

A shudder passed through her. Her body grew warm. Whether it was from the moment or him she couldn't tell. All she knew was that it felt like perfect bliss. Thank the heavens for this darkness, she thought as she stood there with him. Her body pressed against his, her hand tightening ever so slightly. His skin gave in to the light press of her nails as they passed over his neck and then back to where they had started.
She couldn't with hold her smile from spreading between each parting only to have it pressed back by their next joining. The press of his arm upon her back brought her closer yet until she wondered if there was any room between them anymore.

Since everything had already left his mind, Logan had no sense of how long they stood there. He just knew that he was happy for the time being.
After a long time of kissing, parting, kissing more, and his hand traveling from her back, to her waist to her neck, he slowly felt the need to breath again. He pulled away and bowed his head slightly so that their foreheads touched. He smiled. "You know..." he practically whispered. "It's going to be chaos...getting back to the hotel..."

A chuckle escaped from her lips as his words registered in her mind.
"I suppose it will," she whispered back, "We might have better luck just walking... if we don't get lost that is."
Her fingers slid down to his chest where she pressed her palm flat against his shirt. The rapid quakes of his heart gave him away as they matched her own as it fluttered within her chest.

Logan could feel his own heartbeat against her hand, so he knew she could feel it. He felt his face grow warm, but was happy that she probably wouldn't be able to tell. He smiled.
"I have a feeling we will get lost. But hey, we still need to grab a bite to eat. Though...I don't know if any restaurants will be open. It looks like the power is out everywhere...."
He turned and glanced out at the city. There were some buildings with lights on but he guessed they were on generators. They probably would be able to find something eventually...maybe.
