Reed glanced up as Ninian's Library rose high above Arelia, visible to all above-ground areas of said country. The sound it made as it achieved insane speed was super-sonic. Everyone in Arelia heard the Library, even if they couldn't look up to see it.
It was no longer above the Inloner Sea. Zylo was left to take care of the krakes and what-not if he wanted. There were other beasts, in other areas of Arelia, which Zylo could not control simultaneously.
"Whoa," Reed muttered, staring up. "That's... that's fast."
Fatal was driving... or, 'directing,' the Library.

Kabaal nodded, "Seems Fatal ran away." He looked up at the library, "Ninian, if you can here me, please accept my apologies." He said as he floated up towards the library.
Terson growled.
Reily frowned, "Should we follow him?" She asked.

((Kasai should be able to tell that no one can teleport into the Library. And if you approach it from the outside, Fatal will use it to kill you. It's powerful. But don't worry! The Fatal plot arc will come to a close soon enough, people. Just waiting on Kasai. biggrin ))
Reed raised a hand to block out the sun as he squinted. "What... can anyone see what he's doing?" Reed asked.
For the time being, Kabaal was unable to do anything to the Library.

The elements were a simple physical force, and one that the libraries defenses had been programmed to tune out. So, Kabaal, disguising himself as the element of wind, passed through the anti-magical defenses, falling slightly when he passed but continuing on once he was inside. He floated to the walls of the library and passed right through them.

Kasai could tell that she wouldn't be able to teleport into the Library. Something was keeping her from doing so. And flying up to it didn't seem like the best idea.
"No, not really," Kasai said as she tried to look up, but the sunlight made it hard to do so.

"Well, standing here... sucks," Reed commented finally, although he of all people knew the benefits of standing on the sidelines. He, Kasai, Terson, and a couple other people were good for the time being. Reed did not know that Kasai had received a letter, but the others did. Would they ask Kasai about its contents...?

(( Since the others aren't posting... And I'm bored. ))
Kasai suddenly clutched her chest. It was happening again. Her heart was giving painful thumps and her eyes were clouding over.
(( Let's see what happens now. ))

Reed turned and made to rush to Kasai's side. Which wasn't difficult, considering he was two steps away. "Kasai. Are you well?" he asked. He remembered before... assuming it was the same. A knock-out round was in one of the many guns he carried. Reed reached for that particular gun with honest worry, wondering if Kasai would be OK.
At that particular moment, however, there was a bright flash of light, and Fatal was found kneeling on the ground, some several meters away from the group, rubbing his wrists.
((He has a new look, btw. Mentioned it earlier in a different thread.))

Terson took Kasai by the shoulders and turned her to face Fatal, "Focus on him." He said calmly.
Reily looked at Fatal and frowned, he was evil, her shoulders snapped open, flames building in the mouths of her armor dog heads.

Kasai didn't answer Reed as thoughts of killing came to mind. Then Terson moved her to face Fatal. Her eyes widened slightly when she saw him. She still recognized him, despite his new look. And she still had the urge to kill growing inside her.
Without a moment of hesitation, she shot a blast of flames at Fatal.

Toushi glared at Fatal when he appeared as she got ready to fight him.
Suki looked over at Fatal as she got up.

A large, armored pincer erupted from the ground. Fatal would be using more of his undead minions, such as scorpions that were twice or three times the size of humans, again. Summoning these grunts was a nearly effortless task for Fatal, and he did so without even glancing in Kasai's direction. He was still picking himself up, off of the ground, as his minions rose from the ground on all sides of the group, ready to attack with pincers and stingers.
The fire blasted uselessly against the armored pincer, which preceded the rest of that particular undead scorpion.
The thing about the undead: they were relentless. You could dismember them and the necromancer's iron will on their bodies would not dissipate. Fatal was also skilled in other forms of magic, and his power was elevated since his last encounter with Kasai's group.
Fatal would be a terribly difficult fight for even this entire group. The good news was that he could not flee the island with the Library overhead, and Zylo out to sea. It would be a wasted effort--he needed to deal with this group here and now, he decided. He was certainly powerful enough to do so, although--there was a chance of his power diminishing again, if certain things happened up above, in the Library.
"Hanabi," he muttered, dusting himself off. "It must have been her--how? Why? Was she playing me from the beginning?"
It was then that Fatal sensed the presence of Terson, and realized who he was.
"This... just became that much more interesting," he said with his gaze setting steadily on the former Beast. Kasai seemed to be in no mood for conversation, so he could not ask her if she would accept his deal proposed in the letter sent to her some time ago, underground.
"Kasai," Fatal said in an even voice, "regain your self-composure, please. I have need of you, if you would just find your senses again."
Fatal doubted this would work, but trying did not harm him any.
((Sorry for my absence for a few days. Gtg. Be back tomorrow.))

Kasai's eyes were very clouded now, but not completely. She had also lost most of her senses, all she could think of was killing. But she was able to keep in mind that Fatal was the enemy. So, for a while at least, she would only attack Fatal and his minions.
She blasted more fire at the scorpions, then took out her sword and rushed at the nearest one to hack away at it.
