MISSION: Nightmare on Oak Street
While taking a load off to sleep, you've fallen into a nightmare! This nightmare is like no other as you can't wake up from it! In your dream, you will face Archie, Leader of Team Tsunami, controlling a dark-purple Darkrai. You have none of your pokemon on you, so you will have to battle the oddly-colored Darkrai yourself... .

Rewards:
Upon defeating the Darkrai, you will wake up. That's the best reward anyone can get with having Archie in their dream! 10,000pd and either a Lunar Wing or a Lunar Charm are also at stake.

Hunter sat there in the most uncomfortable position possible, willing himself to stay awake. Zee was positioned nearby to deliver a shock any time his trainer began to nod off. Of course it was a difficult task. Sleep is necessary, and so trying to avoid it is a difficult thing to do. Zee was doing a good job, but it was inevitable that Hunter would slip into that dreamland known as sleep, and that he did, even with his Pokemon warning him against it. Zee's droning voice faded into nothing...

The wonderful feeling of flying! Many times had Hunter experienced this feeling during his dreams, and this was no different. Great wings propelled him high into the sky over a vast ocean, with every inch upward bringing more elation as he defied the norm. Who wanted to be stuck on the surface forever anyway? For miles he continued and let the wind pass by him with his eyes closed. A slight change in temperature cause Hunter to open his eyes. The wind picked up, bringing about heat-blasted air. His wings desintegrated, and he was falling down to the ocean far below, but only it wasn't the same. Instead of the blue water with the reflection of the sun shining off it, it was black fluid, as dark as the night. Hunter plunged into the dark substance and the lights went out...

VROOM! An expensive car flew down an open road with the top down. It was a beautiful day and Hunter didn't want to waste it. This wind was blowing his hair about, though luckily with it being short it didn't get in his face. All of a sudden, a large pole role from the ground in front of him. Hunter tried to veer away, but it was too late. A sickening crunch resounded as the car made contact. He barely retained consciousness to see the end. The car exploded in black flames...

A nice cool morning to hike, Hunter thought as he slowly trekked through a forest. Even though he had no idea where he was, Hunter was not bothered, since it was his dream anyway. After what seemed like several hours, he came to a place where the trees became more spread out. It was here that Hunter decided to take a break as the sun began to shine through the treetops. As he leaned back against a tree, a strange cool crept around him. The sun was blotted out and a strange dark mist filled his vision until everything was pitch-black. Hunter heard a strange noise behind him after moving away from the tree. After turning around, he found himself face-to-face with a pair of glowing red eyes and leapt back. Something struck him from behind...

"Wake up. I know you can hear me." said a rough, yet quiet voice. Hunter stirred and opened his eyes in darkness. "Ah, good. You're awake." The voice came from all directions. A light turned on above Hunter, making him squint. As his vision cleared, he that he was imprisoned in a cell with bars on every side. A few feet away sat a Meowth, chewing on something pink and moist. Hunter looked around for a way to escape, but there was none. Again came the voice. "There is no escape. You are trapped, and soon your mind will be thrown into turmoil. One can only survive a nightmare for so long before going under. Let's hope you break quickly." Hunter tried to make a retort, but fell short; shomething was missing. "What? Cat got your tongue?" The voice cackled as Hunter realized what the Meowth was chewing on. The light went out and all went dark again. The voice did not speak for some time.

"This is taking too long." Hearing the voice again startled Hunter. He sat up in the darkness. "Now, my minion, bring his mind into the shadows." The pair of glowing red eyes appeared again directly in front of him. They slowly grew closer, and with every inch Hunter's fear grew. Only when the eyes were a few feet from him did something finally click; this was his world, not this voice's. Hunter threw a punch at the hidden being and made contact, causing it to growl and recoil. Instantly Hunter felt his tongue return to his mouth. "HA!" he exclaimed.

"So... You do have some fight in you, though I expected much more. You are weak, and now Darkrai will finish you." The voice seemed so sure of itself, and now it had a hint of someone Hunter knew...

"ARCHIE! Get out of my head!" Hunter yelled.

"Oh no. Can't you see? This is my chance get destroy Team Aqua once and for all. You have humiliated me, and now it's my turn to return the favor. Hahahaha!"

"I won't let you get away with this!"

"It's not me who you need to be worried about..."

With that Hunter felt a blow from behind and fell to the floor. While they were speaking Darkrai had snuck around and taken advantage of his lack of attention. Hunter cursed and pulled himself to his feet and looked around. There was Darkrai, but he could only tell because of those eyes; those relentless evil eyes. Hunter knew he couldn't beat it with his fists and feet, but what could he do? Where did that light come from before, when I was in the cell? As soon as he finished the thought, the light turned on. Darkrai screeched.

Now Hunter had a plan. He reached for the light, and it began to float toward him. Almost immediately he heard the discharge of a Shadow Ball. He braced for impact, but the attack was directed at the light. It struck, and the light went out. Hunter summoned another light, but this time directly to his hands. It grew larger as it absorbed more light from no apparent source. Darkrai screeched again, but this one with more anguish, and fired off another Shadow Ball. It struck Hunter, forcing him back, but he continued to charge his ball of light energy. Darkrai tried one last attack out of desperation, a Dark Pulse, but in its weakened state from the light, the attack passed over Hunter without affecting him. Hunter smirked, then thrust his right hand forward, releasing the light into a beam. Darkrai screeched one final time before the light made contact.

As the light faded, Hunter saw Darkrai lying on the floor. In the darkness he could only see the eyes, but now he could see that it was off-color, a dark purple. It stared back at Hunter with those eyes, daring him to come closer. Knowing that Darkrai could still have something up its sleeve, he stayed still. When Darkrai realized this, its eyes flashed, and a hole appeared below Hunter. As he fell through, Hunter caught the edge and hung on for dear life. Below were thousands of glowing red eyes and the sound of knashing teeth. Hunter struggled to pull himself back up. When he did, he looked back at Darkrai, whose eyes were opened in surprise. It had used up the last of its energy, and fell back to the floor. It slowly dissipated from the bottom up. The last Hunter saw of it were those glaring eyes, and then it was gone.

Hunter jerked awake in his room, surprised to find himself lying in bed. To his right was Zee, who had apparently levitated from his chair. "Brainwaves have returned to normal. Shock not required. Hunter returned Zee to his Pokeball, now able to enjoy a good night's sleep. His nightmare was over.

When he awoke the next morning, Hunter found something lying on his desk that hadn't been there the previous night. The sparkling feather there was one of the most wonderful things he had ever seen. A Lunar Wing was now in his possession.

ody got up from the couch and walked around HQ. He hadn't slept all night and the afternoon was rough. He was thankful the day was almost over.

Reaper: *starts to dose off and once again corphish pinches him to keep him awake*
"Thanks corphish."
Corphish: "corphish cor"

Reaper: "Oh hey yeroc, you just get back?"
*says reaper half asleep*

Reaper: *corphish helps yeroc by pinching me again*
"Thanks yeroc and corphish."^_^

Reaper: "What I need is a fire pokemon, maybe I should go catch one later."
*begins to look over at the volcano teleporter*
