Amu Tsukiyomi-sama

....by style...I mean the way in which it's brewed.
American matcha drinks have more water in them than traditional Japanese ones to.

It IS icky...
The worst one is Gyokuro imperial burnt.
If you have someone you really don't like....serve them that burnt...
It tastes like the entire sea was left to sit in the sun for a week or two....
There are actually a couple of teas that are coffee inspired, but that one is the better in my opinion.
That's good.
Though I dislike the whole 'feel bad if no buy anything' vibe.
If you buy cast iron, do NOT get the cast iron cups, get a tea pot and warmer.
Though the cups keep drinks warm, they also can be way too hot to handle.
I know this from experience of basically burning my hands on the pair of cast iron cups I own.

Wow....yeah.
And yup!
I know how to work the system such that I don't get into serious trouble!
And since the location I'm at is closing and people are being transferred to other stores....I'm hopefully not ending up where ARJ guy is going.
(Arrogant Rich Jerk)

(yeah....I think it's because most people haven't directly reported him over things.....but his boss knows he's full of it and says things directly about how arrogant the guy is, to the guy's face or in front of him. The stealing sales thing is that if, for example, I brought a customer in, went back to do something and got caught up for a bit, he swoops in, takes my customer away because I was busy, makes a sale and puts it under his name. Though he DID talk and such with the customer, I brought them in so they should have been MY customer. Things like that)

I.....didn't think of it that way......I thought of it as more of a 'this is mine and this ring is the sign this person is mine and that they want to be mine' or something like that.....but he's an evil meanie who isn't going to tell me what the other reason(s) he has are....and I'm starting to become extremely curious... Maybe I can threaten to tickle it out of him? I sincerely hope he doesn't eventually...if what he sees and likes does end up happening....go and buy an engagement ring...I have rings he could use....rings that aren't sized properly, in fact...that could easily pass for an engagement ring....but I'm honestly trying to not let my wanting to be legally bound to him make me do weird things... As for his sister...I think it's more a case of she just doesn't actually care and both times I was over and she poked her head in, she had other things she was wanting to do more. I also know very little about his sister...other than her hair is pastel teal and pastel pink, she apparently has a tattoo their father (parents?) does not know about...and that she's still in highschool/is five years younger than le bf. And that she's fairly messy? Or at least her bathroom is a gigantic mess according to le bf. *waugh is unexpectedly squee huggled; huggles back* I don't really care if his sister likes me or not...not that I expect she'd hate me or anything....but his parents like me...and I think his mom knows I'm his girlfriend? I know his dad does. Not sure about his mother.

Ah yeah that too.
I saw matcha done japanese style in photos and it's more concentrated looking for sure. When you get matcha tea or a matcha tea latte at a shop they don't put much of the tea itself into the mix to be honest. The biggest reason I've found for that is to cut costs because of the price of matcha. I usually find myself asking them to make the tea stronger because otherwise the flavor is not what I want.
I'm sure that makes a large difference on the way the tea is enjoyed ultimately, and the bitterness and things as well because it would be more diluted.
Gosh- with tea there are so many contributing factors.

Ew. :/
That does sound gross.
And good to know! :3

O: Ouch. Are yours like, large cups or the small japanese style kind for sipping? We have the small ones at my work and they never seem too bad.
But cast iron does conduct heat very well...
Either way though, a tea warmer sounds like a wonderful thing- something I could really use. One of those ones that's like a coaster but warms up to keep your mug of tea hot... owo

Oh good! Here's hoping you don't stay stuck with him. 3nodding
(Oh that's still pretty low. :/ And rude. How in the world would a person be PROUD of doing that kind of thing to their coworker when sales numbers are/can be important? That's awful. He is a jerk. My coworker did something similar last night and stole a table from me basically. I was really mad.)

Aww, well either way I'm happy for you. To be honest I always thought of a promise ring like that- a declaration that you want to be with that person who is special and you want them to be yours and such. Some people think of it like 'purity rings' where you basically agree to save yourself for that person sexually due to religious beliefs. But I never really did think of them that way. Though, the implication was still to be monogamous and honest.. so I suppose it isn't toooo different...
Lol! Tickling him is a good threat. XD I think it would work with me. Being tickled is really unpleasant and exhausting to me but I still can't help but laugh. o-o
But wait, so you would like him to propose eventually, but you don't want him to buy you a ring? How cute and kinda silly Amu. I understand though- the feeling that the person doesn't need to spend so much money on you or anything. Especially if you already have some rings. >w<"
And yeah, his sister just sounds like she's bound to be more wrapped up in her own stuff- tis pretty usual for high-schoolers me thinks.

Yeah, agreed.
I enjoy watching/reading fictional drama type stuff, but I don't like real life drama. It tires me out and makes me very unhappy. :/

Got into an argument with a coworker last night after hours too and damn. I was so mad I didn't eat dinner really.. went to a bar had a drink and small snack and ranted to my fiance about the p***k. ^^"

Oh that's good! As my grandma said to me to the other day, staying busy will keep ya outta trouble. Lol
And if you're just busy enough that you can still have time to sit and relax online and such, that's even better honestly.

Exactly. Real life drama is just exhausting.
Oh goodness. My boss actually owes me and some of my coworkers lunch or drinks because he knows he was being a pain in the a**.

Pretty much. I can't get in trouble if I'm too busy. Idle hands and all that.
I like having that little bit of time, even if I can't get much done.

Not specifically?
I don't really know what most items do...just that they do things....

( You did! )

Aww darn.
That's the tough part though for sure.
I think I've got it worked out if I use the white skin way of doin it though.
At least that looks pretty nice.
^-^

Now just time to go sell some stuff for those other pretty items. >w>
But not too much stuff.. *hoards*

Indeed.
And it does!
^_^

I never sell anything unless I have duplicates of it...and sometimes even then I won't sell something.

Thankies!

Some times I buy stuff to specifically hoard it and then sell it, other times I may be willing to sell if I realized that I regret tge purchase or havent used/liked the item for a really long time. Otherwise I basically don't part with stuff.

I see....
I never buy anything I'm not interested in....
And currently, I refuse to buy anything that involves GC.
So I just hoard everything.
Though the things I'd be willing to sell...I'm a tad too lazy to actually do anything with...because they're worthless and no one will want them, I believe.

Ah. That makes sense too.
I try and find the right medium between liking the item, and feeling like I can profit from it, when I don't buy for keeps. That way if I end up keeping it, I might be able to use it. ^^ It's a vending thing I suppose.

Hmm.. Some items are like that- where basically no one wants them or they already have them. It happens a lot with free grant items. But heck, you could always try.. *shrug*

Yeah.
I'm just not a vendor.

I could....but I'm not terribly inclined to do so....
Last time I vended anything, it was a bit too much work for my taste.

Ah. One of those who needs a good punch in the nose. My boss's son is one of those too. If he weren't also funny sometimes, or if I didn't find him super intimidating (even though he's shorter than me...), I'd probably refuse to deal with him.

Me too. Things just happen to be working in my favor this time. Usually, I'm on the verge of pulling my hair out. Until... April? Maybe March, I hadn't had more than a week off of extra activities since last May.

Considering that he is extremely ticklish, it's a very good threat. It can also end with me being pinned to prevent me tickling him, but it's worth the risk.
Yes.....heck...if I weren't so weird about it being the guy who should ask and me not wanting to force something he/we aren't completely ready for or we don't have the means for on him....I'd ask him...though it'd be a highly awkward, vague because blushing and nervous, way of asking... Part of it is the fact that I just don't like diamonds...but the majority of it is the money thing. GAH. I'm starting to get weird and have weird things run through my head and my brain keeps telling me I need to ask him questions like 'would people force us to have a wedding ceremony? Because I'd much rather just have a couple witnesses and go to a courthouse...and maybe have a party." and I keep trying to tell the not-logical part of my brain to shut up because dangit, now is NOT the time to ask such things because no and no and is now really the time because he said he could see it, not 'bombard me with marriage-related things that you've had floating around in the back bits of your brain for forever that weren't terribly important to you because meh weddings'. I'm just not a fan of my brain some days.... I may have to ask him if it would annoy him if I said the things to stop my brain from pestering me to death over them....It's not a thing of me being desperate to get married...though I guess on one hand it IS a case of me wanting to jump at anything that would further bind me to him.........I'm hopeless (as in hopelessly smitten) aren't I? It's gotten so bad that my dreams are starting to feature him...or in some cases feature dream-me going 'hey, you're not the guy I love, why isn't he here instead of you?'
Yup. That's pretty standard for a high-schooler to me more concerned about their stuff.

Oh yeah. So many punches owed. And damn. It must not help that he's the boss's son. In my situation, I at least have the upper hand with the boss- he knows a lot of the drama and stuff isn't my fault. I feel quite proffered over my obnoxious coworker in the boss' eyes actually. Which is reassuring. But still, I think I'd get fired if I started throwing punches even so.

Well at least it's working for you for now! what a long time not to have a break. O-O
I'm currently in college, and I'm hoping that for next quarter, the fact that I'm taking only online classes will help me. People keep telling me that online is hard to do, and my fiance doesn't think that it will work for me (Because I can be forgetful and a procrastinator and it requires a lot of reading for online classes). But it's a practical solution for some issues I was having. Most of my family lives out of state you see, and they want me to visit. And every year, my work closes for a brief 10 day - 2 week long vacation during the summer, because business is always really slow during that time anyway. So logically, I should go out of state during that time my work is closed. However, last year, that time fell during summer classes so I had to take 10 days off of work, but couldn't go on vacation due to school, then later once school was over I had to take another 10 days off work to go on vacation. Monetarily, that was a hard time for my fiance and I, trying to pay bills last summer because I missed so much work. So I realized I couldn't do that again, and it became a choice between going to see family or taking classes and getting closer to my degree this year. Tough choice. So I picked online classes as a potential remedy. Hopefully that will help me manage time and things...

maybe there is. but it's the simplest way. so long as they don't break when you push them and turn into a million pieces of soggy bread and clam chowder all over your feet, that is

Oh I see. o3o I wonder if I would like matcha in it's more original, traditional way... maybe not. lol

And ya know, it's funny- cus Coffee can actually be just as finicky as tea!
There's tons of different varieties, and different ways to roast those varieties, and then there's different ways to treat them, store them, grind them, and brew them, that can all affect the flavor. Like, if you keep coffee at home, ideally you'd want it as a whole bean in a cool (but not too cold) dry, dark, airtight container. Cus air, moisture, and temp can make the coffee change or go bad and cause things like bitter flavors. Same with the brewing method. You could make in a coffee pot and do drip coffee, or you could do a pour over, use a french press, an espresso machine, or this one machine I forget the name of.. And, If the grounds are exposed to water for too long it can get bitter like tea can when it steeps too long, or if they aren't ground to suit the humidity and pressure in the air that day the water won't pass through them properly, all kinds of stuff like that.

But one thing I think is true for sure- with coffee it's easier to add stuff like cream and sugar to make it taste good if your brewing method and stuff isn't perfect. lol

Oh I see.
But then, if your tea wasn't really hot,
and the cast iron leaked all the heat out,
you'd just have cold tea and that wouldn't be good either.
You're probably right about passing up the cast iron cups. XP
I need a tea warmer. o3o

Good idea. Don't get your hopes up and stuff too much, ya know? Cus it might not be impossible depending on how many other locations are near you.
(He got someone fired over two paper plates? What the hell. How does THAT guy still work there. >w< I think my jerky person still works with me cus he seems to be good at making customers happy. He has decent work ethic, just not much else in my opinion. )

I see. Nothing wrong with asking questions in my opinion. To be honest, in my relationship I was the one who gave the ring. >w< So I'm not sure I can give any more insight than what your guy could answer once you finally get it outta him. You really seem to have something special there Amu, if you can see all that in a future with him and be happy. :')

Awwwwww! I really think I get that- The not liking diamonds, and not wanting them to spend much money on you, and wanting to get married to the person but feeling like the guy should be the one to ask. I totally get it. >w< But it's adorable, and I think I have to agree, you are incredibly smitten. Since he brought it up, the idea that he could see himself with you in the future, I don't think it would be unreasonable for you to ask him if you could let your brain spit out all the wedding stuff that you've been thinking about. Because something as big as that can bring up a lot of questions and thoughts about the future, even if you aren't intending to rush into a marriage right now, It would be understandable that you'd like to express those things. Sometimes it's just hard to stop thinking about that stuff.

Yes! Exactly! So frustrating. Like, if I search top hat I know I don't get every item containing a top hat pose in the search. But I know I have a TON of top hats and keep getting more. Probably got one for every outfit honestly. It's just so hard with a broken search and all those pages to look through. Heck, even the option to look through your inventory with all poses on multipose items extended would help.

True.
Though when business strategies that don't support the community and instead push users away become the norm, 'just business' becomes bad for a business that should orient around community. You'd think they'd be looking for a balance of the two. But gaia has become a little more stupid as of late.

then there's the issue of it pulling out things that aren't actually top hats into the search, just because the item contains both search terms in its list of tags. and that would definitely be useful, like putting individual poses of items into the categories they fit in, like an item that'd go in the "hat" category with arm mods would have the arm mods in the "arms" category

such is the fate of any corporation that gets a CEO who cares more about getting a quick buck more than getting a steady flow of cash from dedicated users

That too. Such as with my inventory specifically, the search "Top Hat" brings up the items, Cup of Milk, Picollitrosso's Urn, & Queen Bee with the results. But none of my Ringmasters, Hatters, Counterfit ______'s, Duelliste's, or Mademoiselle's show up. And those are all series' of items that have a top hat of some kind as the main icon for the item. Yet they don't show up in the search. >>
And yeah, wouldn't it?! I would be so happy to have my dress up pages more organized like that- even if it was just a box you could check and uncheck to make it happen.

Ugh... indeed. It's like the CEO just wants to make as much money as possible in the shortest amount of time and then jump ship right as gaia is about to crash into the ground.

ancient flaws for an ancient search system that's largely unupdated. i'd suggest searching "tophat" as one word, but according to the marketplace search, there's only like... 10 items that are tophats
maybe that should be a suggested feature in whatever forum those go in. who knows? it might end up an actual thing

honestly, i wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. because if they did that, then it'd make it look like they were the only thing keeping the business alive since the business crashed shortly after they left and a new CEO was put in charge. it'd look good on a resume, but if someone actually looked into it, they'd never hire 'em

.....I still feel there is a better way than just shoving it.

maybe there is. but it's the simplest way. so long as they don't break when you push them and turn into a million pieces of soggy bread and clam chowder all over your feet, that is

.....there definitely has to be.
Either way, the mental visual is not a good one.

Making tea is much better.
