Amu Tsukiyomi-sama Sellesion *dances around thread* I need inspiration for a new avi guys. Anyone got some? I like color oriented avis. And my faceless trick. I wonder if I can make the no face thing look good with black skin... hrm... Hmmmm.....
I don't have any brilliant suggestions....
Maybe try pink?

Thankies! I gave a try with that one rosey shade of pink that Gaia's been making a lot of, but coordinating the items in it that I have wasn't working before. I wonder if I don't have enough or something. That was the other day and I kinda gave up quickly. But maybe another shade with just, Pink and white. What do you think of this chocolatey shade of black? I like this avi I've fashioned but it's not as well balanced and satisfying as my other blue/cream/white one... not sure why but I'm havin issues workin it out. (I think it did too! I totally missed that somehow.. about the tea?)

Nikakaeo Sellesion Yeah! I do too. And yeah know, I'd expect there to still be bugs after this weekend...because few things are perfect and stuff. But I'd hope that they are few and far between and mostly occur in more specific situations and times. Or perhaps only when the feature gets overwhelmed with use or something. My thoughts exactly. So the whole Tekton taking their customers/users, or stealing their content, things like that, just is really unfounded and such from my viewpoint. Gaia you big baby. >> good point. though i'd meant it in just a halfway serious way, i do hope they make it usable at the very least. y'know what, screw getting rid of all the bugs. just make it WORK, gaia pretty much my thoughts as well. though you know what they say, the main people who complain about money being stolen are the ones who wouldn't notice a couple million dollars missing from their bank Agreed! being able to see all my items by color and or type would be great! I was trying to find a different arm mod for this avi and just couldn't work it out. I'd love to eliminate this gold-ish color that the princess arms introduce with the bow honestly. I have tons of arm mods I'm sure, it's just the fact that I can't see them all laid out in front of me that makes it hard to see the selection and remember what I have. So true. >> I think that's called greed.

And that's all I know.
I notice lots of talk about tea. o3o If I remember properly- Mate is from some type of holly plant or something similar. And then there's Matcha- which is fantastically flavorful and awesome green tea powder that uses the entire tea leaf. My personal favorite is a variety of 'black' tea called Puerh. It's a chinese aged tea that's very dark but kinda earthy and very smooth. I buy Chocolate Puerh from a local tea shop here and it's just... omg. It's because I work at Teavana.
And I'm not a fan of matcha, because it's extremely bitter to me...
Oh, heads up, matcha is super expensive because of the sudden extra demand.
I really only like two teas: Silver Needle, a white tea, and a mate tea made to remind people of coffee.
Best part is it's not super bitter like most coffees are.
Oh, supposedly, Pu-erh suppresses appetite?
My super arrogant assistant general manager says it does....
But then again, he says he's amazing at everything and he loves everything (sometimes only so he can make a sale).
(by the way, he's not amazing at....quite a few things. About the only thing he's amazing at is being arrogant, entitled, and sounding like a rich jerk)
((and he's 23.....yet I'm somehow significantly more mature than he is in very important personality ways...and probably just in general))

Oh yea! I remember you telling me before how you work at Teavana. I get my tea from a local place called Mad Hat Tea Company. :3 Cheaper than Teavana. lol And they have a crap ton of different kinds in what I feel is really great quality. ^^ Some Matcha is bitter I've noticed. Most things I've read actually place it at a relatively low caffeine level as well, but enough that it's a good coffee replacement still. Especially with how dark and rich Puerh can be. I use it as a coffee replacement personally- since I've been cutting back on coffee a lot. And I've gotta say. The way you describe your assistant general manager really deeply reminds me of a coworker I have who behaves like he's the boss, and like he's better than everyone, and his way of doing things is better than anyone else's, even though I have seniority over him at work and he is in no way in a superior possition. I'm more likely to be able to get him fired than he is to me honestly. But he treats myself and coworkers.. poorly to say the least... in most cases and sucks up to customers in ways that seem incredibly show-off-y and excessive and fake- he likes to give them free stuff and things.But he lacks in other areas I've noticed. And he doesn't practice what he preaches in many cases. Some times if I have a rough night where I didn't make many tips because I didn't serve many tables he'll preach to me that I'd make more if I spent more time with the ones I had "Because people go out to eat for an experience" and s**t like that but then will turn around and complain about how he basically had no tables in a night or something. The bottom line is, you need a balance of quantity and quality for tip money to add up to a nice sum. Oh perhaps that is it... hmm.. do you know of any items that are black that just shade the face? Ones that go over makeup and face mods and stuff. I have a 'glow' one on now that flattens out the color of my avi's face, but I wear that to get rid of the shading that makes my face look like empty sockets... (found it! biggrin )

Matcha is bitter because you're drinking the full leaf that has a TON of chlorophyll in it....and a lot of caffeine too.
The sugar definitely helps and it depends on how the matcha has been made...if it's japanese style or american style.
I tend to stick to lighter flavors for tea....at least since I've found silver needle and stopped burning my tea, that is.
The tea is called Javavana mate.
But I'm kinda hesitant to tell people to go into Teavana unless it's one I'm at when I'm working...because I can mostly guarantee you won't get badgered and swept up into spending more than you wanted to.
Oh, he likely is.
He thinks he's an amazing salesperson....sells up with the people who sell 1k+ a day...
Only had Pu-erh once...and I wasn't a big fan....prolly because I don't really like coffee and particularly 'earthy' tasting things.
That sounds EXACTLY like him....
To the t, except I rarely complain about not getting many customers, because the entire store doesn't get many customers.
I mean, I do a mix of 'here's what I think you might want/like' and 'I'm not gonna make this the best possible experience so you're likely to come back and say positive things'
He's much less like that.
And he's above me, so I try to push his buttons just enough I'm not rolling over and playing dead....but not enough to have him try to write me up over something trivial.
It also helps that HIS boss knows he's full of it, knows I'm only doing things to either make a point or because he's saying something outrageously wrong or arrogant.
So I'm fairly safe.
And if not, I can easily pull the rug out from the guy because he's tried to tell me things that are completely wrong and pretty much against company policy.
(and he says he steals sales, which is NOT allowed...but I have to double check the employee handbook on that one)
Well, le boyfriend randomly called me on monday last week. We talked about doing something that week.....and then he told me that he wanted me to move in with him once his parent's finish the basement (which is basically an apartment) ((he moved home for reasons besides financial troubles, but the reason isn't mine to tell)) at some point in the likely not soon future and that because he wants that, he also wanted me around his family a lot so they'd be used to me being around. I off-handedly say 'Because I'm going to be around for a while?' Since that seemed implied by the wanting me around and to move in thing. I get told to sit down, which I do, and I'm then told that he can see himself marrying me in the future (not specified as to when in the future) and that he likes the thought. I told him he was a meanie and I didn't like him and a couple more normal 'I'm super happy to hear that, I like that thought too and can see the same thing' things as well. Hooray being a bit tsundere. The thursday after that phone call, I show up at his parent's place, go up to his room after making him tea and meeting his dad for the second time ever, only to have him place this simple metal ring with black enamel plus signs(?) on it onto my index finger. Firstly, that ring hasn't come off since. Secondly, when I later asked him why he did that, I was told "Mostly because I could." "And that's all you're getting out of me."....the second bit I know was completely on purpose. So he's a double evil meanie. More like triple. I also met his mom, was invited to dinner I couldn't attend because others needed the car, and generally found out his cat likes me. ((apparently that cat really likes me and according to his mom on thursday of this week, the cat usually doesn't like people (I'm assuming new people was what she meant) as much as the cat likes me)) His sister hasn't ever acknowledged my presence the two times she's stuck her head into his room when I was there. I've met some of his friends too...and they all apparently know I'm his girlfriend....though like me, he completely forgets to introduce any of us to each other. So part of me is super girly squee about the whole fact he can see himself marrying me, it's more than a year before that was said, he's dealt with my freaking out on him many times over many things, dealt with a crazy ex who vented at him about me before we even really started dating, and even after all the things that have happened...he still loves me, wants me around, and he's never forced me to do anything I really didn't want to do....I honestly believe him saying he can see, and likes the thought of, marrying me. The other part is going "OI, YOU. Yes, you. Don't get ahead of yourself and screw things up! And get a car damnit!" I just.....he's important. I want him around for ever and ever and as long as possible and just....I want to be the best I can and I want to help him be the best he can...and I want to be his pillow. Because he's always tired and maybe I can help him sleep better. I want to protect his adorable sleeping face. So yeah....and dangit, I wanna see him as soon as possible...had a dream last night that made me miss him because it was some weird version of me looking for him, but people I knew or previously dated showed up and were trying to get in the way a bit(?) but he finally showed up and they went away and I was super happy. So many huggles and other stuff. That's what I remember from it...
