Nikakaeo Amu Tsukiyomi-sama Ah. Well.....all drinks at teavana are now 4.99.... So you know. And for a drink and not to buy and take home...if you like plain tea, silver needle is delicious. For Green, do Gyokuro as it's the absolute best green tea you can get. Black....that depends on your taste....they'll say golden monkey, but do what you like. Oolong....I've not really had any, but the one bit of Monkey picked I had with sugar wasn't....awful, but it's not really my kind of tea. For the others....go with the kinds of fruit you like.
I wouldn't. Because unless I'm speaking in shakespearean... It sounds ridiculous. Significant other....sure... Partner, sure... But those also convey something about not wanting to offend... Which is why I tend to stick with whatever the other person uses.
alright, thanks for the information. i'll definitely keep it all in mind if/when i ever get tea there. i've never had oolong tea or green tea before, so i'll remember those if i feel adventurous and in a tea mood eh, point taken about it sounding ridiculous. though that's part of what makes it fun to me; given the choice of being ridiculous or being bland? i'll be ridiculous. and i never really thought about it sounding like not trying to offend through use of those words Good. I myself don't like green tea.....pretty much only like silver needle and this one Mate that is very chocolate-y. mmmmm.
I pay very close attantion to words... Because they can reveal hidden things about the person saying them. And often times...they reveal things the other person didn't want revealed.... Or the general tone of how they use and what it is they use.....indicate things. It's funny watching someone go "what you have observed is totally wrong, you know nothing about me MER!" in such a way it actually says "How the ******** did you notice that! I thought I hid it so well!" So amusing.

i'm a fan of chocolate, especially dark chocolate lately, so now i'm curious as to what mate is, exactly watching tone and what words are used is something you learn fairly quickly when you have to watch small-type children fairly often/all the time. "Did you do the thing?" "... Noooo.....?" as the most obvious example i can think of..... another really obvious example being Chopper from One Piece. refuses compliments then insults the complimenter in a way that anyone can tell he's really happy and means the opposite of what he's saying. at least in earlier episodes. not sure about more recent/later ones

There's a difference between dealing with small children who have little in the way of finesse with tone, etc....and dealing with adults who do. Though many don't have as much finesse as they think they do. ...Do you mean Tsundere? Because I do the whole 'insults because is pleased and suchlike' thing. A lot, actually....but only really with one person. With everyone else I either accept because diplomacy, or try to deny the compliment somehow without insulting them.

ahh, okay. i'd thought that's what it was after looking it up, but as far as i knew it could've been something completely different with the same name while true, it's easier to learn by using small children as a base. from there you can learn the subtler things that older people employ to hide what they really mean. and some people really are a lot worse than they think they are, that is a fact kind of. except instead of sounding angry/upset/whatever, Chopper literally gushes while saying the things. like imagine what you'd say, then imagine someone saying it with a tilde at the end of every sentence while cupping their cheeks and swaying back and forth all happy and embarrassed

the answer was in that message. i'm not gonna say yes or no outright, because where's the fun in that? ....that wasn't in reference to you. I took your reply as a no. Personally, I don't figure my being all "WHO DID THEES?!" is reason enough.
I just want to know who in general, not a definitive yes or no from you. But thanks to whatever you understood from my thing... NOW I'M NOT SO SURE THAT WAS A NO ANYMORE.
Oh well. I'll just stick with the 'it's a no' thing. Seems much more likely. Plus, it didn't really fit how you'd do things anyway. Not enough 'poking the bear' involved.

Anything else that's spelled the same isn't a plant.
It still doesn't fully cross over though. It's fairly easy to tone one way when you're really another direction entirely. Plus, if you've done acting, it's even easier....especially when you pay close attention to word meanings and the like.
......minus the whole super weird sounding swaying back and forth and gushing thing... That's exactly what I do. No actually angry tone...more like a....hm.... 'you did/said something I like, it made me blush, so I'm saying this instead but I still sound a bit pleased and not actually upset in the slightest' And sometimes with minor flailing at the person. .......picturing this 'chopper' person's antics is actually a bit painful... Never liked the sway-y gushing characters all that much.... *small shudder*

I notice lots of talk about tea. o3o If I remember properly- Mate is from some type of holly plant or something similar. And then there's Matcha- which is fantastically flavorful and awesome green tea powder that uses the entire tea leaf. My personal favorite is a variety of 'black' tea called Puerh. It's a chinese aged tea that's very dark but kinda earthy and very smooth. I buy Chocolate Puerh from a local tea shop here and it's just... omg.
