*Tavin blinks, trying to figure out what Malazar means. After a minute he realizes that Malazar thinks that HE is in control of The Brink of Time, and laughs out loud*
I think that you may misinterpret my position here. I'm no more in control of The Brink than any one else. Its true that I have a greater understanding of how The Brink of Time works, but that isn't really out of favoritism. Its because I've been pulled into The Brink of Time since I was first... uhm.... born. Millions of years in this place gives you plenty of time to practice... As to what I want? Well... That's simple. I want to keep this place out of the hands of The Seraphim. He's trying to take this place by force, and to use it as a weapon. What his ultimate goal is, I don't know. But I certainly don't intend to simply hand it over.

In all my years I've only come across another thing like this Brink of Time. But that's not the point, your experience is what I need, I can work out the understanding on my own. I believe, no, that is talk for the Council. I know I have been brought to this place for a reason, same as yourself, and Torment, and Lucas, and even innocent Cora. I'm too old to be so foolish as to believe that I will survive another convergence without knowing all the variables, I barely survived the first. So, what is your answer Tavin? Will you set me on the path to the secrets of this place?"

Well, I'll do what I can, but I'm really... well, not much of a teacher. I was made for.... other purposes. I wouldn't even have the slightest idea where to start, or what to talk about..... But if I can be of help, I'm always happy to try.

He resumes his seat and pose as he fades away.

:::A tall blonde woman begins to take shape on the floor of the brink. She is covered by a plain white sheet, and really not much more. She rolls over onto her side, and when her head does not land on something the consistancy of her bed, her eyes flicker open:::
nn! ooh...
:::It took her a second, still being half asleep, but she realizes where she is. She looks down at herself, and pulls the covers up close. There is still a metalic cuff on her left wrist. She sees that no one is there, and slowly gets up. She heads to the key wrack, then to room 37:::

:::Cora re-enters the main room, wearing a white, oversized button down shirt, and khaki colored pants that are obviously too big for her. She never got a chance to give the clothes back to Malazar, but perhaps that was a good thing:::
:::She was quick to get up on a stool. Her bare feet felt strange on the brink floor:::

:::Cora sees someone begin to fade onto the counter top in front of her. She has enough warning to get off of the stool and step back to see who it is. When it is a stranger she grimaces a little. She tries not to pass any judgement, but the last few men she's met... She adresses him:::
Hail Citizen. I am First Rank Officer Cora Serenis from the House of El. Please state your name and status.
:::Then she sees Luke appear, and she can't help but smile. He looks a little different:::

*Cross stumbles in, looking rather fixedly at a sheet of pper studying it for inconsistancies... a small pice of parchmant pinned to the paper under his thumb..... he examines it carefully.... then sniffs the air and looks up*... oh..er.... hullo.. *he moves to put the paper away, the scrap falling to the floor... he bends and scoops it up as he fakes a bow, though anyone close enough might have noticed the long scrawled name of "Horatio Harrington Hunt" across the the scrap's surface... Cross smiles then without further ado, heads for the bar.

*Though he at first is unhappy with his sudden appearance here tonight, Luke smirks at Cora's formal greeting* *The man is strange to him as well, but Luke has had less violent meetings with people in the Brink, that he can remember anyway.*
*He offers the guy a sympathetic smile* She always does that. Don't take it personally.
*He grins to Cora and then it fades as he looks her up and down.* Rough night, Slim?
