 Sooo...today I have to go into town...and ask people for money. For a fundraiser for my college...because I didn't write the paper for my Government Class, and doing this replaces the grade with a 100.
BUT I HATE CONFRONTING PEOPLE. I'm so socially awkward its not even funny. gonk

Hm... Where would one go to find people who'll likely to help you with a college's fundraising programs? I would say places near the school grounds (be it elementary to high school or cities around the university). I'm sure people would be more willing to donate to college students than disruptive younger ones, but that's just me basing this off of my place.
Doesn't the fundraiser have a group dedicated for this? If not, I would try to act like it's a part of something you do everyday. Relax, confront a person with a positive attitude, get to the point, and be respectful. If one doesn't go your way, ignore it and start again with the next. Rinse and repeat until you get enough support.
Don't people get partners for this? Or is it supposed to be done solo? o_O;

Silent Cartoon Well, the concept of the Christian Heaven and Hell comes from its roots in Judaism, and if I remember right, Judaism does predate the philosophy of Buddhism.
The Christian idea of Heaven and Hell still originates from Buddhism.
In Judaism, there is an afterlife but it isn't like two separate places.
And you are right about Judaism being older than Buddhism, a branching of Hinduism. Judaism also originates from another religion, Zoroastrianism, considered the first monotheistic religion. I don't know which is older though, Hinduism or Zoro. [[Chrome spell checked it for me.]]
English class somehow got onto religion, and that's where I learned these facts from my Jewish friend, my Buddhist friend, and my Zoro friend.
And my advice for asking people for money, bring a friend, dress nicely, and smile a lot. Lol.

The first time I learn/come across it was when reapersun made a Diedrich shimeji. I got a flele instead since I like looking at chibis sing songs with different voices. But I think I got rid of that since I have my itune, and am unwilling to fill up my computer with mp3s to use in flele. xD
