Kaori nodded and waited for Knives to attack her, when he did, she stepped into the attack, but dodged the actual hit, and grabbed his leg. She gripped said leg tightly and pivoted in place, knocking the larger shinobi off balance and tossed him to the ground. She beamed at him, "How was that for a demonstration?" She teased, voice light.

Kaori drew four kuni and nodded as she focused on two different wooden practice dummies. She threw the projectiles with deadly accuracy. Two landed where the heart would be on a human, and two landed in the head. Just to prove that hadn't been a fluke, she drew four shuriken and threw them as well, right into the head and torso. She then looked at Knives and smiled as she tilted her head to the side slightly, "How was that?"

"Hmm not bad, not bad. But let's, try something a bit bigger shall we?" He inquired as he pulled a larger sword, not normally used for throwing from a weapon rack. "Remember this technique isn't purely for offensive measure, it can also be used as a distraction to get your opponent to move where you want them to, into perhaps a trap or so that you can move into a more favorable position in a fight." He tossed the blade into the air for Kaori to catch and use for the next throw.

Ayame shook her head smiling and watched Knives train the tiny Kaori. She didn't have anything she needed to do at the moment so she would help where it was needed. Daichi on the other hand had other plans. He got a running start and rammed into Nova lightly nipping her ear then running off barking. Ayame giggled at her playful wolf and then went back to watching Knives train Kaori.

Kaori caught the sword and looked at it, then at Knives, and nodded, "Alright, here goes nothing." She mumbled as she tested the blade to first find the center of balance before she hefted it up and then launched it at one of the dummies. She smirked as it landed near it's left, where she had aimed it, had it been alive, then it would have instantly diverted it's course to the right, where she could have had a trap, or Nova, waiting. She looked at Knives, "Like that?"
Nova let out a startled yowl when Daichi jumped her, but then roared in playful challenge before she bolted after

"Good, very good. Now the next one, I'm not going to have you go full out because as much as I'm sure you'd like to, I don't think we need anyone with broken bones right now." he said as he directed one of his students to attack and let Kaori watch as he blocked the attack grabbing the limb. He followed up the block by then bringing a strike from the opposite side, he preferred to come from above but this would work too. He stopped just short of hitting, "Now normally this would break the bone and cause them to not be able to use it. But I'm in no mood to send people to the hospital right now."
'Awww you're no fun.
"Similarly it can be used to break weapons, or just to disarm your opponent as well. Give it a shot, armed and then unarmed." he said tossing a few weapons to students and Kaori, it seems that word had gotten out that Knives was teaching again and so he figured he might as well put the gathering crowd to some use rather than be a bunch of lazy students.
'Awww is someone upset that they can't made sappy comments to their little play thing anymore?!

Ayame chuckled at her wolf and put her hand out as he ran with a bit of electricity waiting for him. He headbutted her hand and then proceeded to touch Knives giving him a small shock and then full on tackle Nova poofing her fur out. He then skidded to a halt and went into a play bow wagging his tail at the cottonball tiger.

Nova growled and shook her head as she tried to get her fur back under control. When that wasn't immediately possible she grumbled and stared at Daichi, playful revenge clear in her eyes. She darted for him, but at the last minute dodged to the side and pounced on the wall, used it like a springboard, and aimed for Daichi's back.
Kaori watched Knives closely, she noticed that Knives seemed irritated. She wondered if it was at her, or something else. She hoped it was something else that was irritating him instead of her. She nodded and motioned an academy student to come at her. We he did she blocked the weapon and then grabbed his leading arm. She then hit the weapon and knocked it from his hands and to the floor. She repeated this with each armed student. When an unarmed student attacked, she blocked her strike and then grabbed her, then brought her other arm forward in the strike, but stopped inches from the girl's arm.

Ayame got up and went to a corner of the academy where she was able to keep an eye on everything even while she read her book. She took it out of her pack and adjusted her hair so it wasn't on the ground when she sat down, instead it fell into her lap where she rested her book over it. Daichi tackled the tiger then quickly went over to a secluded corner with some dummies and concentrated his chakra into the earth. He thought of the things he had seen in books Ayame had read called dragons. So why not make one of earth that he could control. He moved his ears in different directions and the earth rumbled. He concentrated on the image and shaped the earth as it lifted. When it came out of the ground it gave a mighty roar and plowed through the dummies then began to chase Nova. Daichi smiled, this was pretty fun.

Nova roared in alarm and then dashed to the side in an attempt to feint around the massive beast and get to it's back. She growled as she arched her back and swiped at the thing, ears back against her head in her fury, and terror that she would later deny.

Knives looked at Daichi and Nova and just shook his head in a bit of a chuckle. 'If anyone was going to be eating anything it would be you.'
'Oh please... though now that you mention it...' 'Yeah yeah, not now, not here.'
"Good, good. Don't forget though, in real combat to break, either the weapon or the limb." He said darkly looking at a student who was having difficulty learning when to stop before turning his attention back to Kaori. "Now answer me this, what side is your dominant side. Left? or right?"

Kaori nodded, "I won't forget. And I'm actually ambidextrous." She told him with a little shrug before she looked over at Nova and the dragon. She smiled slightly. Koari turned back to Knives and hummed slightly, "Does that matter at the moment?"

"Well the next stance has to deal with using your non-dominant side towards your opponent and your more dominant side close to your core almost in a side stance look." Knives said as he moved his left foot about three feet forward keeping his right foot and side towards himself. "It's meant to add power to your strikes and make throwing the opponent easier. However it does take a bit more time than the other stances in terms of speed."
'Ohhh ambidextrous.. well now...'

Kaori looked at Knives and nodded in understanding as she observed the way he got into the stance. She moved her own feet about three feet apart and turned so her left side was facing Knives. She kept her right side closer to herself, her arm tucked near the core of her body, "Is this right?"
