Wanna play Pitfall? omfg...that is funny! my mom and I were joking about crocheting "cozies" the other day. I told her I want a set of cozies for my computer, keyboard, and printer...(joking, of course) and she said that I would never use it because I'm always on the computer. Smartass moms...

I tell you what...if I didn't have bad luck, I'd have none at all.
I've been sending out resumes and applications like crazy, and I finally get a phone call today. Spherion is looking for a few computer techs, it's only a temporary job to help set up a new office here in MI, but at least it's some sort of paycheck and something to put on my resume. Well, the job was supposed to start on Dec. 10th, and then I get a phone call saying that it's being put off indefinitely. Yay...

My daughter's school sent home a flyer about MSN's Search and Give program. You can get tickets for using their search engine and playing games, which can either be donated to a school or charity of your choice (no doubt the reason I was getting it from the school) or you can save them for yourself and redeem them for music downloads or Microsoft products. Anyhoo, I'm splitting my tickets between myself and my daughter's school. I'm saving up for a Zune...lol, only 19,880 tickets to go... http://club.live.com/searchandgive.aspx

Okay, so here's an interesting story I was informed today by one of my professors... did anyone hear of the deaf guy who was tazered?
I think he said it was a few weeks ago... or months...
Anyway, evidently the police raided the wrong house... the deaf guy was taking a shower and *didn't hear* them knock... they broke in, went to the shower... yelled at him, but he didn't know they were there because he's deaf... so they used their tazer on him.......... in the shower.............
And what did they say when it was cleared up? That it was the deaf guy's fault because he didn't comply.
Then again I don't know how true this story is... I haven't checked this.... but even if it isn't completely true........ it's funny as hell.

Sorry, hun, that really blows. Have you looked into temp agencies? I temped for a while a few years ago, wasn't bad if you have the transportation to get to the different jobs, and some of them even offer benefits now. Yeah, really. I wish someone would cut us a break already! I've called a few temp agencies about some job postings, but they were already filled. I just keep looking and sending resumes and calling every day. Michigan's job market sucks...I'm moving.
